La Casa is probably the best of the Mexican Restaurant options in Edwardsville for a family Mexican dinner. There are better authentic options or taco places in neighboring towns or but for an overall Mexican cuisine, this is the best one in Edwardsville.

The atmosphere was nice. The decor was tasteful done. The service was good. I was looking forward to the meal. The meal was disappointing. The salsa tasted like it came out of a jar. The chips didn't have any salt on them. The chimichunga was good. The rice could have been much better. It was supposed to have Pico on it. But it was just a sour tasting tomato on it. The weren't ant cilantro or onions or garlic. I didn't try the beans. My coworkers didn't like there entrée either. They do have a full bar.

Upon entry into the restaurant we were grated by the Host, who immediately seated us. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. I ordered the LA Cosa Fajitas. I'm very pleased with my meal. It's well worth the money. I'll definitely visit this restaurant in the future.

Food was really good, I got the wrong thing but it was an honest mistake. Our service was really good at first but after we got our food our server disappeared or wouldn't come to our table for about 20- 30 minutes. We tried to flag him down for our check and boxes but we felt ignored after while. The table next to us which was a table of 8 (we were just 2) got seated after we did they had drinks, food etc and they got their boxes and bill before we did. They had paid and left as we were finally paying. Overall not horrible but the service was the biggest let down in the end.

I had time to kill before picking up a catering order near by and it was lunchtime. I had already experienced other restaurants in the area and was craving Mexican, so La Casa was an easy choice. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. The chips were thin, warm and crisp. However, the salsa could have used a little more spice. Recently, my go to adult beverage when dining Mexican is a, Paloma. That was a bad choice here. The Paloma here, was totally flavorless. To be honest, I couldn't even tell if there was any alcohol in it at all. Best part of my visit, was my entree. I enjoyed three soft shelled Shrimp Tacos and they were delicious. The shrimp stuffed into the tacos were prepared well and they were huge. My side of Mexican Rice was very good. Typically, I am not a fan of Mexican Rice, but theirs was soft and seasoned well. Wish all Mexican restaurants made it this well. If you're in the area and want some good Mexican, I'd say La Casa is worth a visit.

Nothing to complain about. Enjoyed the ambiance, service and vibe of this place. It's your classic local Mexican with some fun cozy decor and solid menu choices. Good variety of drinks too and of course convenient with plenty of parking.

Our service was quick and friendly. We sat outside on their patio! Plenty of room while seating everyone you don't feel crowded. The food is so delicious and comes out fast. If your usual is chicken cheese and rice and you're looking for something a little different, I highly recommend their chipotle chicken skewers! This is one of our go-to Mexican restaurants in the area! Plenty of parking spaces as well :)

Authentic Mexican cuisine! Ordered the queso, house margarita and the burrito grande. So yummy!! I was seated and serviced very quickly. The restaurant has cute decor and music at an enjoyable level. This will be added to my list of places to return to next time I am in Edwardsville.

It was pretty good! Salsa and chips were fresh, server was on point and food came out fast. I really have no complaints as our food was standard American Mexican. The fries were yummy and the chicken inside the chimi was shredded breast meat. Torta was huge and half came home.

Not sure how other Yelp reviews were negative?? We come here a couple of times a month and have always had a great experience and meal. The complimentary chips and salsa are a meal within themselves. My go to are the tacos. Tonight we tried different entrees (I had Taquitos and hubby created his own combo with tacos and an enchilada). We typically get a half pitcher of margaritas ($7.99 and two servings each). Less crowded tonight than usual and it's a Saturday. There is outside seating also. LaCasa is our favorite Mexican restaurant in E'ville area. Try them- you'll like them!

Your food is great but your waitstaff is awful. It is like they do not want to refill your drinks. They disappear when it is time to pay.

Traditional mex. place. The food is what you would expect and the beers are served in icy mugs. The prices are good for the amount.

Shame, they could have handled this better. Don't bother complaining on FB , you'll just get blocked.

On a Friday evening there was only one other table there, which should have been our first clue. The food took so long to come out I thought they might be growing the ingredients out back. The chips tasted like they came straight from a family-size bag at the grocery store, and the chimichanga had all the excitement of a tax form. The lettuce tasted like it was reminiscing about fresher days. My husband ordered a soda and was handed a bottle, apparently unlimited refills are now considered a luxury item. We went for my husband's birthday dinner and left wishing we'd celebrated at a gas station taqueria instead. I understand rising costs due to the economy, but you can tell this place is nowhere what it use to be, from a year ago. Quality has gone downhill. The only reason this review gets two stars is because the server was friendly. Won't be back, too many other options to choose from in the area. Hasta la vista baby.

It's clear the restaurant is thriving under the new management that took over in November. They are doing a fantastic job! One of the standout items was the in-house homemade chorizo, which is easily the best I've ever had. The street tacos were absolutely to die for. The cabeza especially took me by surprise in the best way. The meat was rich, tender, and incredibly flavorful. They even brought me an extra spicy salsa upon request, which was delicious and clearly made with care. And of course, the margaritas went down smooth and easy. The perfect pairing with such great food. Between the lively atmosphere, thoughtful service, and standout dishes, Viva La Fiesta is definitely a place I will be coming back to.
