Margarita Flight

More than anything, I'm giving this place 5 stars because of their really cool interior and friendly service. Playful murals spanned the walks, and the furniture was just as colorful. But, the food was really good, too! I had fish tacos with rice, and the S.O. had a carne asada street taco. Chips and salsa were complimentary. I also had a margarita flight, which was also colorful, fun, and tasty. They tasted like pre-made mixes, but good mixes; I was able to choose from something like 10 flavors. I look forward to coming back with a group of friends!

I'm never disappointed when I dine here. Very good consistency in both quantity and quality of food. Servers are very nice too. Taco Tuesday is special!

We ordered Viva la Fiesta using Uber Eats and were surprised the quality held up. Ordering delivery you're always accepting a risk and we'd never been to this restaurant in person either but it worked out. Great variety on the menu and our meals were packed with flavor. Solid cheese dip but the regular salsa actually was incredible on its own. Will have to check out in person next time to get the full experience.

Enchiladas Supremas

Giving a five star in spite of the small child in the booth behind me. I ordered queso, a house margarita and Enchilada Supremas. The service was as great and influenced my second margarita purchase. Not the best decision but it was so good and I could get back to my hotel with limited driving on any roads. The queso was yummy and the enchiladas were filling. The chicken enchilada was a little cold but not enough to deter me from going again. Decor was cute, restaurant was clean and everyone was nice. A must stop near SIUE

This place used to be Catarina's until it closed two weeks ago. Then somebody named Raphael bought it and it opened on 11/25/2019. (This was what the workers were telling me...) I regretfully didn't write a review for Catarina's, because I would've given it a higher rating than its predecessor. I seem to be on a roll reviewing all local Mexican places the same (3 stars), because well, I get the same experience and taste no matter where! I'm not saying the food isn't good or great; there's just nothing that stands out when having the typical Mexican restaurant experience. None of these places "dare" to be different, like nothing makes one better than the other. In other words, I'll get the same experience at, say, La Fonda or El Maguey. But the food was filling and the service here was great, and the decor (most of it was from Catarina's) was cute (skeletons, anyone?).

It was a special night, a group of foodie friends got together after not seeing each other for a while. It was a group of 11 and the accommodations and service couldn't have been better. Our server was extremely professional and didn't mind that it was 6 different checks. As our server was telling us the Daily Specials and the Catch of the Day, I immediately knew what I wanted. Whenever I hear, Pan Seared Sea Scallops or anything with Scallops, I'm sold. My scallops (4) were huge and the Risotto that they were served on was moist and flavorful. I also learned that they offer half bottles of wine and one of them is my favorite. I love, Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm probably going to wine hell because I paired it with my seafood instead of a white wine. Also, I want to give a shout out for their, Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. I've been known to stop by and have them and a Martini and call it a meal. When: February 19, 2026 Why: Meeting up with friends

They offer bone-in and boneless wings. I prefer, bone-in. To me, boneless wings is just another name for nuggets. You also get your choice of sauces, or doing a dry-rub for your wings. I'm a fan of the dry-rubs, so chose Buffalo-Lemon Pepper. It was a combination of my two favorite flavors, so it seemed like a logical choice. The blend of the buffalo with lemon pepper, gave the wings an extra tangy taste. I also like how extra crunchy the wings were. Crisp on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. When I eat wings out at a restaurant, I am a stickler for the number of drums and flats match. My order here at B&B was 3 & 3, so I was happy. In addition to my wings, I had a side of fries. Damn, they were good. They were crinkle, my favorite fry and they were good sized. The bartender offered a beer cheese sauce for dipping and I took advantage of his offer and tried it. The beer cheese was way better than using the typical ketchup. Being a Tap House, there were plenty of craft beers and commercial beers on draft. If you are torn on what to choose, they offer samplings. The bartender said, if I told him what I liked, he could make recommendations to match my taste. He guided me to, Floyd's Deluxe and it was a good match for my wings and fries. The ambiance is industrial minimalist, which is a relaxing sports bar vibe. I was pleased with my first visit, so I will be back and the next time I'll try a burger. Good food and excellent service, will always get me to return.

The jalapeno is spicy, but not too much, and the fried egg is perfectly cooked. I was so impressed with these tots that I'm still thinking about them! If it were not for the Illinois 66 Passport, I still may be oblivious. The Illinois Passport is promoting 66 businesses on the first 301 miles of the original historical Route 66. The businesses start in Chicago and come all the way down the state to Collinsville. After visiting the business, you get a stamp in your passport just like your travel passport. Stagger Inn is definitely a historical neighborhood dive bar. It's 52 years old and still going strong. It has an old wooden bar, two rooms for dining and drinking and you can see into the kitchen from a large window. The staff was friendly and provided great service. I sat at the bar and ended up chatting with all the servers as they picked up drinks for their tables. When reading the menu, I was impressed that they hand-cut their fries and hand batter the onion rings. I am definitely going back for the onion rings. This visit I did the fries as a side and they were crispy and still had the skins on the potatoes. When they placed my plate in front of me, they informed me they do not season the fries. The bartender recommended that I salt them while they were hot. Preferring pepper, I gave mine a shake of black pepper. I liked that they didn't salt the fries, since I'm trying to reduce my sodium intake. My Stagger Burger was incredibly delicious. I added, Pepper Jack Cheese and Jalapeños. They were generous with the jalapeños and left the seeds in, so the burger had a little burn to it. For me, this burger was top-notch. Stagger Inn, thanks for the stamp in my Route 66 Passport. Getting there and parking: My family, including a pre-teen, met up at Stagger in to visit with a couple of our friends. Parking was a small challenge. There is a large public lot on the same block, but it was full when I got there around 6:20pm on a Wednesday. There is minimal street parking. Luckily, I found a spot after a couple of times around the block. Walking in, you can see right away that it really is a no-frills tavern. There's not even traditional table service, though it's not exactly counter service, either. You sit down, decide what you want from the menu, walk up to the kitchen counter to place your order, and give the ticket the kitchen gives you to your server. However, the menu was much nicer than what I expected, with very fair prices! Appetizers ranged in variety from French fries and wings to fried pickles and spinach artichoke toasted ravioli, with prices ranging from around $4 to $8. Entrees included a variety of sandwiches, salads, and burgers from $4 to $8.50 or so. They even had vegetarian and pescatarian options, including a blackened tuna sandwich and a black beans burger! All three of us, including a picky pescatarian adolescent, found food we enjoyed! Beyond the food, the service staff was friendly and the bar service was adequate. In all, it was a really great place e together up with friends AND bring a kid--at 6:30 on a weeknight, at least! I would very much recommend this place to a group looking for a casual environment with good food at good prices! Atmosphere: Food selection & taste: Service: Price: I'm not sure if would be fair to give 4 starts based on the above, though, because I wasn't to rate it for what it is, not for what something else is. Overall, I give it a 4.5! Vegetarian friendly: yes (lacto-ovo)
