The manager proceeded to "count her register" as the worker next to her was having a hard time. Once we tried to order Ailin uncharged us WITHOUT ASKING so once we asked for the correction she had a NASTY attitude. Next once she got our orders together we had to WAIT an additional 20 minutes for WRONG ORDERS ! Once THAT was getting situated we ATTEMPTED to speak to Abi she then BRUSHED IT OFF so of course we waited for our food hence a refund was another HEADACHE. This JB location is in the Kettleman City area and I decided to come here today instead of my usual stop at InO... (partly due to my last experience with them but also cuz I didn't wana have to wait in the "going home" holiday line..) the cashier was very pleasant and even joked that they had so much options avail. I like that the fact he can put on a smile especially since it's a holiday wknd was nice. JB's menu is always reliable and everything tastes good so whatever I order I know I'll like and it will be quick enough. The dining room wasn't packed at all and very clean. I wanted to leave this review to give Salvador & his crew the credit they deserve for providing such excellent customer service, communicating effectively, continuing to be kind to others even when customers are absolutely dreadful. We dropped by yesterday during a busy part of the day, the restaurant was nearly filled, our food did not take long although Salvador apologized for the wait, our food was hot, we enjoyed the new snack wrap, the restaurant was spotless! I will always give anyone who works in the industry the flowers they deserve because I know how terrible it can get working with the public. Sourdough Jack - Sandwich was delicious. Med Dr Pepper- Great. Curly fries- Top layer was tasty. Bottom had old broken pieces of cold fries. Small Dr Pepper - extra small drink costs over $3. Price gouging and is double the cost compared to JITB in the Bay Area. Classic Potato wedges - Delicious. Napkins and straws but no utensils. This drive through is next to I-5 and we almost took off. Very attentive and responsive service. It was busy at the drive through and we weren't quite ready to order inside so they very nicely said for us just to let them know when we were ready. Chicken strips & egg roll took a few minutes and they apologized for the wait. Food was fresh and hot though so we didn't mind waiting a couple of minutes. The woman in the drive thru around 7am, August 7, 2022 never gave back my credit card. I was on a road trip to San Francisco from LA and it completely ruined our trip because all of our hotels were linked to this card. I found a Chevron charge after purchasing food from this Jack in the box so it's obvious an employee used the card to fill up their tank. read more

Passing through and needed somewhere to get a quick bite to eat. Came in to Jack in the Box and the staff here was very attentive to our needs. Eating area was very clean inviting. Onion rings were crispy and delicious so were the seasoned fries. Milk shakes are thick and delicious. Will definitely come here again in the near future. read more

SITREP I stop at this Jack's a bit more often on L.A.-Sacramento trips since it's about at the halfway point here in Kettleman City, and I usually get gas here - always on the trip back to Sacramento - and so once off-ramped, might as well look for food too. SETUP I really like the tacos at this Jack in the Box - for 4 for $2, that's usually enough to fill the hole in my stomach until I get back to Sacramento in the next 3 hours (on average). COMPARISONS I have come to respect the fact that though it may be coincidental(?) at times, I've noticed that different franchises of the same restaurant chain, sometimes do things better than other franchisees. I'm not a fan of the tacos at the Pinole Valley Jack In The Box off I-80, since the best tacos I've had any Jack's are at the Jack in Vallejo just off of Tennessee street, FTR. But the tacos at this Jack's in Kettleman City are not far behind. Thick, full of good stuff, not limpy lettuce, decent amount of cheese, so I'm pretty impressed with how good ONE TACO can be at 50 cents. 2 for $1. Or in my case, 4 for $2. Located just off highway 5, it's a decent place to stop and take a break from driving. There was plenty of parking and our order was taken right away. The food was ok, it wasn't amazing, but it was just as good as any other jacks I've been to. The restrooms could have been cleaner, but they were far from gross. Maybe next time I'll check out one of the surrounding places, but this wasn't a bad pit stop, especially if you're craving curly fries! read more

This is our go to drive thru fast food drop from the Bay Area. It beats the the lines at nearby In n Out and the poor quality at McDonald's. Every time we come here over the years, the staff are always friendly, and they get your order right. All the food we order is correct. They remember the sauces, napkins and utensils, which is important when on the road and can't exactly make a U turn when you're back in the road again. read more

We stopped for lunch on 6/12/22. We ordered combinations and at the window, I was surprised to see one of us got a medium drink and one a large. I told the young man at the window we had ordered two large drinks as I thought we had. After I said that , my boyfriend said we hadn't and one drink was medium. This is a clean and revamped Jack In the Box along Interstate 5. It's always a plus for a restaurant to have clean floors & restrooms with friendly staff. I tried the breakfast pita pocket because they have a big picture of it on the window as you go into the Jack in the Box. With minimal calories, egg, ham and hickory smoked bacon, this pita was delicious. The kids had their French toast sticks and my wife her breakfast sandwich. Coming into this restaurant I really didn't know what to expect. I knew it was a pretty sub par fast food join so I didn't really expect much. I guess you can say my expectations sort of hit my experience. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich combo, which comes with fries and a drink. With my cup I got water and I honestly believe it's from the sewers. The sandwich itself was pretty crummy, lacking flavor and crunch. I don't know why buy lately I've been getting bad service here when I go thru the drive thru. I really love the eggrolls and the chicken teriyaki bowl. It's been like three times in a row when I asked if they can put sweet and sour to be told "it's already in the bag". Last time I ordered 2 bowls and 2 orders of the 3 eggrolls.
