I remember when I used to enjoy my visit to Jack's. This place has gotten so cheap and the quality has gone DOWNHILL. Don't bother with any of their chicken sandwiches, the chicken is disgusting. They declined to give me my law enforcement discount, and I should have left at that point because the food here is NOT worth the price they are charging. I've been coming here for years and usually never have a problem. I ordered the "chili" cheeseburger combo and got a $1 burger with 1 drop of chili on top. Everything else was lukewarm and made sloppy too. It wasn't even busy; there was 1 car ahead of us and nobody else. I know its fast food but cmon...this was the saddest burger ive ever ate. To be completely honest, Jack in the Box isn't my favorite fast food restaurant. But the few times I have had Jack in the Box, I have had pretty good experiences in terms of service. The workers are very attentive and friendly which I appreciate. The food is very cheap which can compromise the quality but honestly, if you're looking for a cheap and quick bite to eat, this is not the worst option. I always receive the right order despite how busy it seems that day, which is good enough! Extremely slow drive thru, the line blocked most of the parking lot (which is rather small to begin with) and a few cars actually left the drive thru line because no one seemed to be moving. The woman taking orders practically shouted through the intercom, which was unnecessary. Also, on a more recent visit I was shorted changed. Do not pay cash in the drive-thru! The server, Marinna, has a trick to distract you so you do not know they handing you back incorrect change; they hand you your change and receipt and then quickly follow up with your drink and food, rushing you so you don't have time to count the change. I've contacted corporate to let them know how shady and rude the workers are at this location. Completely unacceptable! read more

I've had good luck at this jack in the box. The staff is always friendly and the food is what I ordered. I've read the other reviews and while I 100% certainly believe them, I just haven't had those experiences. The food is typical fast food. You want food to fill your tummy and want it fast? It is here. I do love the teriyaki chicken bowl. Gave four stars because over a few years of having come here maybe 15 times, I've had to wait a bit long maybe twice. I will go back again read more

I stopped in the one in Monrovia on Huntington Dr. I had wanted the Sirloin but since JITB has learned the recent art of "slamming" I bought the Buttery Jack.... A horrible mistake I will not be making soon. I received a doorstop piece of meat (dry overcooked) with a rubbery piece of somekind of cheeze ???? I chewed on it for several minutes then the burger got stuck in my throat. I wasn't able to swallow it right away but eventually it went down. Altho they say the burger comes with tomato slice(s) there were none There was no lettuce either. I spent the night trying to ingest this mess. Otherwise this is THE late night destination in la crescenta/canada if you're drunk after the bar and need some food. Also, as I was leaving, two guys walked in. Some of the nightshift employees are either asleep or high as a kite at this location. Or perhaps both! lol I been here twice, first time it was fine, although their speakers need a tune up because they couldn't hear me and I literally had to yell my order out. Second time wasn't so fine to say the least...the young lady who took my order sounded like she was upset, as I imagine I interrupted her beauty sleep. Went to this place located at La Canada Flintridge right on the corner of Ocean View and Foothill. I went to the drive through cause the walk in was closed and I placed an order and when I got to the drive up window to pay, my kid woke up from his nap and he wanted a chicken sandwich. I told the lady can I order a chicken sandwich as well? Said said no you have to go thru the drive thru again. And she gave me a real snotty attitude about it. I went thru the drive thru again and this time I blasted my radio full blast and I was playing AC/DC which happens to be one of my favorite songs. And she committed on saying that my radio was to loud and I needed to turn it down cause she said I was blasting out her ears. I told her I wanted my chicken sandwich. Got to the drive up window again and gave me a dirty look like she wanted to kill me. I don't know but I think she did something to my kids chicken sandwich. I'm not one to use Yelp as a forum to solely complain about my experiences at establishments. I know that Yelp is frequently misused to "tell on" companies or vent about a bad experience rather than to simply talk to management. I dine out frequently and have to say that I've had less than stellar service/food on several occasions and didn't Yelp about it because simply talking to management was sufficient... not so with this Jack in the Box. Last week I ordered a "Jalapeno Burrito" for breakfast. The gentleman taking my order said, "I'm sorry Sir, we don't have that burrito anymore". I said that was fine and ordered a "breakfast burrito with ham and add jalapenos". He rang me up for a "Meat Lover's Burrito" and then hit the button that says, "Add jalapeno". Simple, right? I go to the window and get the burrito. Then proceed to my place of work and unwrap my food at my desk. I take a bite and noticed that they did the "only ham" portion correctly, but there were no jalapenos.. (Jalapeno is the only reason I went to Jack in the Box.. I like Taco Bell's burrito's better, but they don't offer jalapeno). I called the establishment and said, "Hi, I just ordered a breakfast burrito with jalapeno a few moments ago and just realized that there are no jalapenos. I don't want anything for this call, I just wanted to bring this to your attention for a learning opportunity for next time". The woman then said, "I'm so sorry! We want to make your order right. Give me your name, and you can come back anytime for the correct burrito on us!". I told her thank you, gave her my name and went about my day. Today is Friday and I decided to purchase my work team breakfast burrito's as a TGIF treat. I went to Taco Bell and ordered 15 breakfast burritos. When I was leaving, I saw the Jack in the Box right across the street and decided that I should redeem this burrito mistake now as if I wait too long they will likely forget me! I pulled up to the ordering screen and explained my situation to the man (which was the same man who took my order the first time). He said to pull around to the window so I did. When I rolled down my window, the manager came over and sternly asked me what I needed. I, once again, explained my situation to her and she said, "We haven't carried that burrito in two months".I said that I was aware.. and just made a customized breakfast burrito.. she looked at me like I was lying and didn't want to give me the burrito. I picked up the big bag of 15 burritos I had just purchased and said, "LOOK- this isn't about the money lady. I can buy a burrito.. it's the principal that someone offered me a free burrito because you guys messed up.. now I'm coming to claim that burrito and you are being rude". She said, "well what do you want then?" .... really? I once again repeated the order, "breakfast burrito with ham and jalapeno.." she throws a burrito in a bag and hands it to me saying that they won't do this again for me. I drove to my work and opened the burrito.. they got the jalapenos right.. but this time i'ts ham, bacon and sausage.. I really don't like sausage.. threw the damn thing away. Tempted to call and tell them they got it wrong but a free burrito isn't worth having to deal with that dreadful manager. Like I would really lie to get a free $4 burrito.. This review is for 9/23 visit at 2:20. I decided to order my food to go, after waiting in the drive thru lane for about 5 minutes and not moving an inch. I ordered a jr cheeseburger and some bacon cheddar fries at 2:19 according to my receipt. I got my food at 2:30. Last time i checked it didnt take 10 minutes to assemble a jr cheeseburger. While waiting for my food an older gentleman came in and asked me if I had order. I said yes. The girl Next to me said that it had been taking to get her food. The older gentleman waited for 5 minutes without being attended so he left. According to my receipt I was attended by Chris. I'm hoping that there wasn't a manager on duty because the service was beyond pathetic. If they want to hire high school drop outs that's fine at least hire somebody competent enough to take a burger order. When I finally left the same cars were still waiting at the drive thru lane. It had been about 20 minutes. At that point I just laughed out loud at how pathetic the service this time. I know this review seems harsh, but the owners/ corporate people need to know whats going on. Normally I would just give a fast food chain a standard 3 but this Jack in the Box has the best service I have ever had at ANY fast food joint [both inside and at the drive thru], the dining room is always clean, although this is a small location, theres plenty of seating for dine in patrons (unless you have like a group of 10 lol), the employees are all very friendly, and the main reason I gave this Jack in the Box 4 stars is well, quite honestly, although fast food is bad for you, not always that yummy, and can really put a dent in your wallet, I love Jack in the Box. read more

100% of the time I've gone here I've had my order messed up, missing something, or just flat out given the wrong food. I'm really tired of it. I get making a mistake once or twice, since we've moved to this area we've gone 10 times in 2 months and they have messed up all the orders. I ordered the sriracha burger because it looked good in the picture. I live 5 minutes away and when I opened it, the burger (even the bread) looked old; the meat burnt and hard like it had been sitting for quite a while, and some of the lettuce a wilted dark brown. I rarely eat fast food but wanted something in a pinch and used to prefer JITB. I can't even return it now because the girl at the drive-thru was so pleasant. But I had to tell someone. read more
