    Carne Asada Burrito

I had no idea this existed but now that I know, I'll definitely be back. I was craving a burrito and stumbled upon this place and I'm so glad I did! I ordered an asada burrito and it was so good that I finished it in one sitting! They also give chips and salsa which was a bonus and adds to the whole experience. The service was great and they were very helpful. I love the casual ambiance and perfect for a quick bite. There's also plenty of parking which is great! Can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu.

I've been coming to Tortas Mexico for like 25 years. Back in the old days when they were up on foothill a friend of mine from Mexico told me it was the most authentic food in the area and he introduced me to their carne asada torta. That was all I ordered there for years when I would come occasionally. After they moved to their current location and had more of a restaurant vibe my wife started ordering their Caldo de Pollo, which is excellent. We've kind of gone on and off our frequency of coming here over the years but recently we've been coming back a lot and the thing that stands out to me is what a variety they have on their menu. In the last couple months we've been coming once a week and I've not ordered the same thing twice and everything I've had has been ranging from very good to excellent. Tostadas, taquitos, flautas, burritos, All of it really delicious.

Amazing restaurant as authentic as it comes . It's been my favorite Mexican restaurant around the area for a very long time .

We had a beautiful sunny weekend. Gorgeous weekend outdoor weather for a change. Perfect for leisure walks. So we headed to Montrose to visit family and enjoy the outdoors. As you stroll through the charming Montrose neighborhood business district on such a bright and sunny day, a symphony of sights and sounds surrounds you, painting a charming and vibrant picture of community life in motion. Once our appetites grew, we knew we had to head to one our favorite spots in Montrose for Mexican food, Tortas Mexico. Nestled in the heart of Montrose, Tortas Mexico is a hidden gem, unassuming, but a place that promises you a culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of Mexico. To start the fiesta, I indulged in one of my favorites, the Shrimp Cocktail, a refreshing and zesty appetizer of shrimp swimming in a tangy tomato-based cocktail sauce, accented with fresh avocado, cilantro, and a hint of lime. Wow! Delicious! Each bite was a burst of freshness that awakened my taste buds and left me craving more. ¡Sabroso! Next up were the Enchiladas, a classic Mexican comfort food that did not disappoint. We also ordered the Chicken Tacos and Carne Tacos. They were a true fiesta for the taste buds. The Chicken Tacos featured tender, marinated chicken nestled in warm corn tortillas and topped with cilantro, and a small amount of salsa. Simple, but tremendously flavorful. The Carne Tacos boasted juicy, seasoned beef, perfectly grilled and paired with a little bit of onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime. ¡Delicioso! For a taste of traditional Mexican cuisine, we also savored the Pollo con Mole, a dish that perfectly balanced sweet and savory flavors. The tender chicken was smothered in a rich, velvety mole sauce made with a blend of chilies, spices, and chocolate, creating a dish that was both comforting and complex. This mole is incredibly delicious. One of the best we have ever enjoyed. To round out the meal, we couldn't resist trying the Bean and Cheese Pupusa, a Salvadoran specialty that was a delightful surprise on the menu. These thick, handmade corn tortillas were stuffed with creamy beans and gooey cheese, then griddled to crispy perfection. Each bite was a perfect marriage of textures and flavors, making it a satisfying and delicious addition to the meal. Tortas Mexico will definitely exceed your expectations with its authentic flavors, warm hospitality, and diverse menu offerings. From the vibrant Shrimp Cocktail to the comforting Pollo con Mole and everything in between, each dish was a celebration of Mexican culinary artistry. If you're ever in Montrose and looking for a flavorful fiesta for your taste buds, Tortas Mexico is the place to be. I strongly recommend it!

Every drink comes out looking photo ready and delicious. And the food... wow. Everytime we visit (most recently for Mother's Day but we've been 6 times in just 6 months) we discover something new we love. You MUST order either or both of the Pancakes and French Toast. Mostly because of the butterscotch sauce they. One with in the side, the pancakes are really just vehicles for the decadent sauce so good even our friends who don't like sweets insist it's the best. Our preference leans pancakes (a surprise as we also are obsessed with the French toast) because the pancakes are perfect crisp on outside and fluffy inside. The American Breakfast is a perfect compliment to the sweet with everything from the toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage each tasting like miraculous perfection. Other favorites include the Little Corner Cassoulet, and Omelette, but we'd be hard pressed not to admit you can't go wrong with anything to eat or drink here. No doubt our go to place to bring everyone we know who hasn't tried it yet, we'll be back many more times, especially hoping to try their lunch/dinner options soon because if they're even half as delicious as breakfast, we may just have to eat every meal here. Promise this is not hyperbole, give it s try and thank me later!

After politely speaking to the waiter and waiting for assistance, no one came back. I eventually had to go inside myself and speak directly to the owner. Instead of resolving the issue properly, she simply said they couldn't remake it and offered "extra avocado" instead. After waiting another 5 minutes, she told me to go sit outside and they would bring it out. They brought very tiny avocado slices. What should have been a beautiful Mother's Day experience was completely ruined. In the end, my husband had to go inside and request a refund. We are beyond disappointed and will never return. Bottomless drinks really do exist here. On top of that, caroll suggested strawberry lemonade and passion fruit ice tea in lieu of my normal Arnold Palmer that's my go to on account of being out of lemonade. The resulting concoction I've lovingly dubbed: The Susie Summers. Official ratios still being tweaked but: 40% Strawberry lemonade 60% Passion Fruit Iced Tea Garnish with a lemon wedge and sprig of mint. While I had the Black Cow burger it wasn't of paricular note, it was pleasant BUT I did order it medium well, out of an abundance of caution for a new place. I'm very confident that trying it medium rare will likely improve the beef flavor. Overall a tasty burger regardless. However, the chicken pot pie my partner ordered was plated beautifully and had a wonderful puff pastry atop a very savory and delightfully seasoned filling. I definitely think it was a show stopper. I even asked Caroll to surprise me with a random dessert, and let me tell you, the Salted Caramel Apple Cheesecake is what dreams are made of. Very nicely sweet with a filling to knock your socks off. Oh the joys of new sights and smells. Cheers!
