So I work right up the road from this location... so I frequent this specific Jack in the Box at least 2-3 days a week.... I went today 6/23/26 at 6:05pm. I waited at the box for a good 5 minutes before being helped, which I understand it gets busy... got to the window, they cashed me out quickly but I sat in the window for a solid 10 minutes, before getting my food... I am disappointed because when I got home I got an order of onion rings instead of chicken strips... you would think since I waited so long my order would as least be right??? I'm not too sure if I'll be coming back as the service was just okay & my order was wrong...

Loco Moco smashed burger. Loco Moco better in a plate lunch.

Brooooooos, what is happening at this location??? First of all it took us 40 minutes through get the line and we were third from the ordering voice box. We used some of the coupons you get in the Midweek. It went well but one coupon I don't understand. BUY ONE GET ONE FREE JACK WRAP. But I guess it's BUY TWO GET TWO FREE?? Confused but if true, order was correct. I had also ordered online to use some of my rewards but I guess this location didn't have popcorn chicken so canceled that order. Overall, I guess maybe I held high expectations and got disappointed. I just have to go in and not have expectations. I know good work is hard to find but a good trainer is also very hard to find.

Flavor was solid, portion was generous, and the food itself is the main reason I keep coming back. The ambiance is chill and local. Most of the afternoon crowd seemed to know each other, which gives the place a comfortable neighborhood feel. That said, the inside is a little dingy and could probably use a renovation. The issue on this visit was the service. When we got there, it was pretty empty, maybe 4 or 5 people sitting at the bar. The guy working behind the bar seated us, but then never brought menus, never brought water, and never came back to take our order. When my friend tried waving him down, he ignored us. Eventually another employee came in, and the bartender just told him, "Go take his order," without acknowledging us at all. I don't know if he was only working the bar that day, but he could have at least brought water, menus, or simply said someone would be right with us. Instead, the whole interaction came across as dismissive and unnecessary. Food was very good as always, but service matters too. Based on this visit, I'd call it 3 stars overall.

We had a difficult time finding the entrance (there was a truck blocking the signage--I'm assuming…read moreit was the owner's because they were unloading). We walked in and had to ask if they were open as we weren't immediately greeted. We got to choose our seats and tried to find the coolest spot because it was hot inside! According to the server--their ac was broken. It reminded us of traveling to Mexico and eating at the restaurants there . The decor is very similar and authentic to restaurants in Mexico. They even had lots of the candies found there surrounding their register area. The server was super friendly and attentive once we were seated, I just wish she would've written down our order instead of trying to take it all by memory as she got some things wrong with our order. Now onto the food. Mexican food in Hawaii is nothing to write home about. This was no exception. Our family of 4 ordered: the California Burrito, the super burrito (I actually ordered the chimichanga but it came out as a burrito), Birria tacos, Birria quesadilla, a bean and cheese burrito (the hubby's favorite thing to order at a Mexican restaurant) and because it was taco Tuesday--the carne asada street tacos (which I think the server forgot because we had to remind her) and the flan for dessert. The burritos were of good size and nicely filled. I enjoyed the super burrito but it needed the red sauce that was put on the table. The shrimp inside was very flavorful. My daughter loved her California burrito (it has French fries in it--lol). The birria was delicious--the consommé was pretty bland though. The bean and cheese burrito was cold in the middle and not as generously sized as the other burritos. The best thing that we had was the flan. I love flan and the texture of theirs was amazing. The sauce was a mixed review with the family. I liked it and the fact that there was a lot of it. There was a slight fridge taste but it was still delicious. My husband tried to make a suggestion about moving the large truck that was in front of the restaurant blocking the breeze from coming (remember the broken AC...and this is a hot August afternoon) but upon telling our server he felt dismissed. He was told that the AC was broken and supposedly to be fixed soon, but she didn't acknowledge his suggestion to move the vehicle to let some air in--it's disappointing that when a customer that takes the time to provide genuine feedback to be left feeling dismissed instead of appreciation for the feedback. I feel bad for whomever may have dined after us as it was mighty warm in there...

We're also not people who only enjoy fancy restaurants--we're just as happy grabbing musubi from 7-Eleven or pork hash from the Manapua Man. Good food is good food, regardless of where it's from. We placed an online order for pickup, and the first item we opened was the carne asada plate. Right away, everything looked very dry. The meat was tough and chewy, and the rice was clumpy and dry, almost as if it had been sitting out for a while. It wasn't a great first impression. The biggest disappointment, though, was the tres leches cake. We love tres leches and order it whenever we get the chance, whether it's from a restaurant, farmers market, or a local home baker. We ordered two slices. After one bite of the first slice, it had a distinctly sour taste that reminded us of spoiled milk, so we stopped eating it immediately. Before trying the second slice, we smelled it first, and it had the same spoiled milk smell. To make sure we weren't imagining it, we brought both slices to family members, and everyone agreed that they smelled like spoiled milk. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable eating the rest of our order. Although the horchata tasted fine, we ended up throwing everything away because we had lost confidence after the dessert experience. I can only speak on our experience, but unfortunately it was a very disappointing one. I understand that not every meal will be perfect, but serving a dessert that smelled and tasted spoiled was concerning. Hopefully this was an isolated incident, but based on our visit, we won't be returning.

It was so good and always had a line waiting to get in for dinner. Quite the opposite here. We got there at 6:45pm and there was only one table besides us eating dinner. I didn't notice anyone ordering take out for pick up. Tanisha was our waitress and she took really good care of us. Yeah it also helps that we ended up being the only ones there eating. I really hope that this was just a really slow night because their food or what i ordered was really good. First Tanisha brought out chips and salsa. I like their salsa but i need a little heat to it so i added the hot sauce. I got the 3 choice combination plate. 2 shredded beef enchiladas and a steak relleno. Not too many places offer shredded beef. It's usually ground beef and i don't care much for that. The shredded beef is really tender. It's so soft and with the corn tortilla and enchilada sauce just blends so well. I like it as it's very delicious. The steak relleno is really good too. The only complaint I have is about the Spanish rice and refried beans. They were layered thin so it's really not that much. Being the cheapest items to make i would think they would give you more so you would be really full. I just wish had more of it cause it's really good and compliments the enchiladas and relleno. It's not about the rice and beans tasting good cause it does. I just wish had more of it. Then comes dessert. I love fried ice cream and they make it really good here. Perfect way to end my dining experience. I'm really happy coming here. The food i ordered was delicious and Tanisha is a great waitress. I highly recommend eating here for Mexican food. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures of the menu which i should have. The menu not only features what's available but also what's in it. A description of the entree choices. A few of them with pictures of the entree. Really good menu. Just sorry i didn't take pictures. My bad.

I loved that the taco didn't crack in half when I bite into it like some other taco places. 4) Ground beef chimichanga. All plates comes with Spanish rice and refried beans. Pros: Nice portions that would fill you up. Food came hot and fresh. Con: Maybe it might have been me but, I would have like more chip and salsa. There was only one server, so service was slow or maybe it was the kitchen. Not sure. I hate these 3% charge card when paying for your food. Would I go back? Maybe.
