I love JITB's sourdough Jack. And I always order the meal whenever I go to a JITB restaurant. I go maybe once a year. Anyways..... We were hungry so we went to the drive thru on the way home. I just bought a new car and I don't allow any food in there but I made an exception on this day. The fries and soda were the only good thing from my meal. The sourdough jack was cold and not good. Even the pieces of bacon were limp. They must have had this sandwich pre made and sitting under the warmer for hours! I was disappointed. I usually go the the one on Geary in San Francisco. We went through the drive thru tonight and we checked our order before leaving and they gave us the wrong order and we were missing 2 items. We told the girl at the window who didn't seem to understand she gave us the wrong order. She gets someone else and I tell her the same thing. They bring us the correct food and we left. That would've been the end of it but then I looked at the quality of our food and felt compelled to write this review. My daughters grilled cheese was only cooked on 1 side. My chicken fajita (with NO ONIONS) was full of onions and had a wilted piece of lettuce and almost no cheese. It was terrible. Overpriced, incorrect order and very poor quality. I've never had to wait so long in a drive Thur when There was only one vehicle in front of us , which also got there order wrong the lady that helped us took 33 minutes we got there at 2:30 AM we drove off at 3:03 especially in this time during a pandemic she was touching and opening bags with her dirty gloves . I ordered a salted caramel mocha she was shaking it around literally got coffee all over the cup and tried wiping it with her dirty gloves. She Got coffee all on the outside of the cup it was disgusting . ( during a pandemic). She had the nerve to have an attitude with us when it was our health abd safety we were Concerned about not to mention at 33 minutes we had to stay in the drive-through. read more

Filthy dirty restaurant!! Very rude. They would not even speak English. The cashiers and manager would only speak Spanish to Spanish speaking customers and would not even make eye contact with us. Spent the day at Yosemite and wanted some place new to try on the ride back to San Francisco since we live in Maryland and decided to stop here since they were all over the place and I'd never eaten at one. What a mistake that was. The fries had this horrible sweet taste to them like they were fried in Coca Cola or something and the "chicken" sandwich I ordered tasted like it was made of seagull or rat. I am a fan of JIB, just not this resturant in Oakdale. We go here because it is within walking distance of work, but that would be the only reason. Majority of the time the service is bad. Last time I was there, it was after lunch hours, like maybe 3:00. There were about 2 people in the dining room and while I was standing at the counter, I saw no orders on the screens. I stood there for about 5 mins while employees walked right by me, looked at me, but didn't say a word. The 2 managers were standing by the fries, carrying on a conversation about an employee that I was able to hear - NOT professional at all! Finally one of them came over and took my order. I ordered a sampler trio, and received my order in a reasonable amount of time. I asked for marinara, ranch and sweet and sour, and she tells me we're out of sweet and sour. Clearly she already knew this when she took my order, since she didn't walk over and check for any. I just felt like you should let someone know that the dipping sauce is not available for an item you are ordering. I love their eggrolls, but its not the same plain. I wish there was another Jack in the Box in town. I'd say two out of four times the order is wrong. If you order a sandwich with cheese, you'll get it without cheese. Want curly fries? Too bad, you're gonna pay for them, but get regular. Order a spicy chicken sandwich, get home, bite into it, and you'll find that you have a regular chicken sandwich. Even when the order is right, it's still bad. The fries are either incredibly soggy or incredibly dry, like they were cooked hours prior. The soda is almost always flat. Low on cash. Then Jack in the crack is the best bang for your buck. Service wise this place stinks!!!! Even when they are not busy, you regularly have to wait 5 minutes to get your order. They regularly give you stale fries, or mess up your order. This has to be one of the worst jacks I've ever gone to. I know it's fast food, so i should not expect great service, but this place takes service to a new low. On the bright side the restaurant was remodeled a year ago so looks pretty modern inside.
