I have been to this Jack in the Box many times & different hours of the day over the past 6 years. Not only were the fries cold, it looked as if someone ate half of them. I've never had a problem with getting hot food that was cold, but every time I order their fries, I only get about half of the size of what I ordered. The pictures provided are pictures of a large curly fry that I ordered. They are regularly $4.29. I am a member of the Jack in the Box rewards and did in fact use it on this order. The service customer service here is always terrible. Today July 14th at 8pm I literally just ordered ultimate cheeseburger just a burger and tacos. The service person a short round Hispanic woman put my food on the counter and handed it to another customer. when I order it was just me and her in there so she knew it was my food and just ignored me after she handed my food to another customer that had to say, this isn't my food and she just shrugged... if you don't like your job and you don't want to work at Jack-in-the-Box then pick another job don't blame the consumer. I had not been to a jack in the box restaurant for years, I would definitley go back for the things I enjoyed...heres what we ordered; Cheesy chicken nacho fries (to die for!) jalapeño poppers (too hot for my tastes, but delicious) tiny tacos (delicious crispy corn tortilla containers but too much of a mystery meat situation for me) tiny chocolate croissants (yes!) We'd definitley go back for the chicken cheesy fries and the tiny chocolate croissants! The staff was friendly and down to earth, I love it that they were unpretentious mature adults who, when we asked for extra sauces at the ordering intercom, they simply replied by saying, "remind me at the window please"...unpretentious, clear communication. Okay, so reviewing fast food is like reviewing different communicable diseases. It's like "well, I'd prefer whooping cough to malaria", but in this case, I'd prefer both of those nasty viruses to Jack in the box. Have you ever ate meat with the consistency of moldy cardboard? Well somehow Jack in the box has that. I get that it's that age old thing of "you get what you pay for" with a sad trombone playing in the background, but if I'm paying for food, the bottom line is it has to be edible. Pay for a service and don't even get the service. It's literally more worthless than going around picking up cans and bottles all day to buy a lotto ticket only to lose time and money. The level of disrespect at the drive through in currently sitting in is impeccable. I'm trying to be a cheerful person because , I know, working the drive-thru at 1am is traumatic but the attitude from this employee (who's name tag was so scratched up i couldn't read it) is enough to make me not want a to come here again. Actually a pretty exceptional experience for a drive-through. The lady that helped us was very friendly. She saw my cute boys in the back and said how handsome they were. They are one and two. She warned me that the food was hot out of courtesy for the babies. The menu is vast, with all day breakfast, a good value menu and plenty of grub if you're just hungry and not looking for magical Portland food. The snotty girl working the drive thru yesterday (12/9/12) is lucky I have as much restraint as I do. We ordered food from their breakfast menu (I don't eat fast food, I'm one of those organic food gardening types in town, my fast food is new seasons) on our way to Crafty Wonderland and I questioned why the price was different than the menu board at the speaker. That was like pulling teeth. She wasn't listening to what I was saying and I had to repeat myself 4 times (I know that drive thru speakers are horrendously awful, but she didn't have that much trouble 30 seconds before that). When I got to the window, I told her that asking us what we would like to drink without letting us know there was an extra charge is confusing-- both my partner and I were baffled by what was going on. she just laughed and was very condescending and snotty. It is a Jack in the box. It is not fancy. They have $1 drinks (large) which now includes Iced Tea (pretty good). They have $1 taco deals (2) and serve breakfast all the time. My dad loves this place, and when I want Jack in the Box this is where I go. Do I expect the staff to be super happy? No. Do I expect the bacon or cheese to be just like the stuff from Whole Foods?
