I am from California and when I moved here there were no Jacks in town. I was so excited when they opened the Argonne store. Tacos are my fave and sometimes I just stop for 2 tacos as I live in the area. I have noticed the Argonne store is going down the tubes. I ordered tacos one night and I feel like they were cooked and then thrown back in the oil for a quick heat up. they were gross. Also, I dont think they change their oil as often as they should, you can tell by the taste. So 2 weeks ago I went through the drive thru and ordered 2 tacos and fries (extra crispy) . I reminded the gal at the window about the extra crispy. I got fries that were not extra crispy and thrown in the mix were fries that were NOTeven cooked through, still coldish inside. I did not know this store is not a franchize and I will not go back. If I could rate Jack in the box #8442 located at 2205 N Argonne Rd in Spokane Valley, WA Zero stars I would, this location has on going rude employees working there, and today was enough to write a review. I did a mobile order, carry out opens at 6am, here it was after 6:30 and the front door was locked, I knocked on the door, and no answer, I went around where I saw someone near the drive up window so I knocked on the drive in window, the employee was very rude, and when she unlocked the front door, and I went inside to pick up my order, she continued to be very rude and said "what can I do for you" in a very rude voice, I said im picking up my mobile order and she responded "we are still working on it" and when it was ready she was just tossing my order in a bag and sat it up on the mobile order rack and walked away as if I wasnt standing there waiting to pick it up. Not my first bad experience at this location. The employees should filter their conversations when there is customers in the restaurant that can hear their conversations that really isnt work appropriate and around where customers can hear. We never come by this location but had errands in the valley yesterday and were on our way home. My wife used the app to make an order to pick up a little after 6 pm. We got there, and I went inside to get it. The first thing I saw was the lobby sectioned off and an employee half ass mopping. The kitchen had just gotten a big rush and was frantically trying to deal with it. 2 ladies were at the front counter waiting when I came in. I assumed they were waiting on food, but they actually hadn't been helped yet. Someone quickly asked me if I was ordering, and I said I had an online order for so and so. I was checked on by two different people who apologized for the delay. The 2 ladies waited several minutes and then were finally helped. One employee was doing the job of 2 to 3 people. The mopping girl was literally using a mop sign as a fan to try and dry the floor. I am twice her age easily and could have done a faster mop job by 3x and would have skipped the sign fanning of the floor. We got an order completion message and yet still had to wait another 10 minutes or more before the order was actually finished. Fries, cold, tacos, cold and oily, chicken sandwich, dry and a mix of gross, dry, stale curly fries mixed in with the cold "fresh" regular ones. If my family wasn't absolutely starving, I would have asked for a refund or remake or something. As a food service manager in the past, I noticed many things. First being the employee purposely mopped slowly. Second was seeing what I believed was a drive-thru worker with gawdy 2-3" nails jumping in the cook line and making a bunch of food without gloves after being on drive thru. She toasted buns and made burgers without gloves and using her nails to grab everything. Luckily after our order was already being bagged. Such nails are a breeding ground for bacteria. The mop girl finally finished and came to the kitchen to help and did not wash her hands before jumping in to help with tasks at a pace so slow its a wonder how they worked there. I am appalled at the unsafe conditions here. The one employee who was running food and manning the register was a rock star, though. There was zero manager presence or communication from what I saw and heard. Won't be back. Those nails will haunt my food service dreams. read more

Most Jack's are more or less the same.on food quality, and these guys hold the standard pretty well on that. Restaurant is usually pretty clean too. One thing they really need to work on here is the employees' attitude. They all seem like they would rather be anywhere but here, and whenever they speak they exude thus vibe of "Well if I HAVE to" People like these are why I don't usually support giant leaps in the minimum wage. When I worked customer service I worked my butt off to provide a pleasant experience. The people here are like zombies. This location needs a lot of work. I decided to dine in. I had to wait 20 minutes to order. No one was in line in front of me but it did appear as the the person who helps at the register was on break and I had to wait for them to come back. In the mean time, I watched 4 employees struggle to keep up with poor communication including cursing at each other in the middle of a dirty kitchen. There did not seem to be a team leader of supervisor of any kind until someone came in to the store to complain. I washed my own table because there weren't any clean ones. My food was made wrong and I was nervous to wait while they remade it. It had taken 30 minutes to get it the first time. In the total of an hour that I was in the restaurant, there was 3 serious complaints. When my order was remade, I did get it quickly and it tasted good. I went to the drive thru tonight usually I get great service from the employees and they give my dog a treat like a French fry or piece of bacon that's one of the reasons I chose that store rather than going next door to Wendy's, I realize not to expect a treat for my dog but I expect my order to be right, asked for extra butter, no butter at all in my order, the order was supposed to be bacon and sausage. I am a regular when it comes to having Jack in the box late night. When I come through the drive thru I dread hearing this workers voice. He is very rude and disrespectful, having attitude when you are ordering and making it seem like a chore and hassle that you're even ordering. He always works the late graveyard shift and is a taller, brunette/black hair man with messy hair and a mustache (I do not know his name). He sounds like he dreads making whatever you ordered and is almost upset that you are even at the window. I enjoy Jack in the Box food but whenever he's working, the fries are hard, the tacos have no meat or are cold, and the burgers are stale. I'm not sure if that's a direct correlation or not but when it is someone else working the food is great. Had some good experiences in the past, but today was a horrible experience. Spent twenty dollars on two combos and both were incorrect and old tasting. The first combo was missing a patty and had the crumbs of a last batch of curly fries. The second was squished and dry with the oldest soggy-est fries. This is not true because I come here multiple times a week and ask for a ranch often and am never told this. I was going through town, and stopped at Jack in The Box for a little dinner. I went through the drive thru, I ordered a burrito and when I pulled up to the window the cashier rung me up for a burger. I tried to tell her that I had a burrito and she said I had ordered a burger. I tried to tell her differently but she would not listen. We got our food, and checked if I had a burrito. They had given me a burger instead of what i ordered. When I went in to change it, the cashier was super rude and everyone working kept throwing me dirty looks. The inside was very dirty, and gross. She finally rang her up and was ready to take the next order. The manager told her she did it wrong and to redo it. The girl stood staring at the register and mumbled, "I don't know what I'm doing." When ordering my food the lady taking my order was very passive aggressive and rude. When i got to the window the man working the window did not say more than two words to me. I've been coming here for years, and nowdays I can't afford to eat here anymore which is strange because this is supposed to be fast food, not Denny's. Jack in the box has raised their food prices so high that it makes me stop and think why would I eat here for $10 when I could go get a 1.5lb 3 topping pizza down the street for $7.99? They even raised the price of their tacos. Tacos used to be 2 for $1 now they are 2 for $1.75. What makes me even more frustrated is they no longer give quality coupons, only crappy breakfast items and platters. Nobody likes the platter, Jack! I've eaten at this restaurant a couple times a month for the past 10 years.This restaurant is kept cleaner than many other Jack in the Box restaurants. Service is typical with the occasional 'I'd rather be anywhere but here' attitude, but also some employees with a great service mindset. Of the four hamburger joints located at this intersection, I feel that this Jack in the Box is the best value for your money (quality vs price). McDonalds across the street has a much nicer restaurant/interior... but It's McDonald's. Wendy's across the street may have slightly better burgers and they are faster through the drive through but are also more expensive with smaller burgers. The Burger King on the opposite corner... well it's a Burger King. It needed a renovation 20 years ago and it's menu is all over the place... but the Whopper is still pretty good. read more

It's such a shame watching service levels at fast food places crash dive when new Store Managers come around. This one is in that kind of dive. I am a usual for lunch - about once a week. Today was so pitiful of experience - just have to Yelp about it. Was there at peak of lunch time service so knew there be a delay. Tickets lined up on counter when ordered. Cashier seemed new but had the trusty Manager there helping him by expediting the orders. I sat there and watched the Manager handout orders and clear the order monitor. Watched him throw away the receipts/tickets. After about 10 minutes, I went back to the counter and Cashier didn't know what happened, the kitchen staff told him order wasn't on the monitor so they haven't made it. Didn't have patiences or time to wait any longer - keep my $5; lost a lot more than that from my not planning to come back. Of course the staff is clueless when Manager is. When I asked the manager about this they told me it's because they're on special so they only put one piece of cheese on it. Other locations don't do this they give you two pieces of cheese as advertised. This location is not following the corporate rules and they're sticking it to the customers. I rarely eat fast food anymore, but when I do, I usually go to The Box, because Jack was my first boss 40 years ago. But fast food IS junk food. I bought a couple junky "tacos", which I still love to eat after all these years, but the Buttery whatever burger was way more saucy than buttery. The sauce met the meat ounce for ounce & more. If it was supposed to be a soup & sandwich item, maybe I'd understand. Garlic butter was lost in the deluge. Sometimes it's best to take the time to pull over & check your food & hand it right back to them if it's a hot (or cold) mess. Called the store to complain about my beyond mess of a "burger". I couldnt even take this out if the packaging unless I wanted to be covered In melted cheese. The employee I was speaking to just kept giving me excuses, saying that's how that burger is made and how they have a lot more messy burgers. I was getting frustrated at this point so I got huffy and said yes but I'm telling you this burger is beyond messy. He continued to make excuses so I asked to speak with the manager. And that's when he informed me HE WAS THE MANAGER. At this point he has not offered me a replacement burger or even said sorry for the horrible food. I am at a complete loss at why he would be a manager if he cant even satisfy one slightly displeased customer, in fact he let the conversation escalate until I demanded a refund.
