Wanted to try these special tacos I keep seeing posted so we went here to try then. Enjoyed a mangonada with a shot of tequila. It was tasty and presented well. Husband got a bloody Mary and a trash can. Excuse my butcher of names: 1. quesabirra delish but a bit spendy. 3 tacos with the broth were $19 where street tacos were $3 each. Not sure what the x2 price is for. 2. Burrito- decent was reported but boring. He usually has stuff on the plate with it at other Mexican restaurants. 3. Chile rehenos combo with burrito- B- ok, c-r exceeded expectation 4- enchiladas- my 11 loved them 5- shrimp tacos- crispy shrimp, my daughter thought they were great. The bill was pretty high $130 before tip. Usually our family can go out to eat around $100 including 2-3 drinks. It was nice to try, but the drive was a bit for us. Service was ok. We had to go get our our napkins and silverware as our waitress forgot to bring them. We stared at our food waiting and then just got up and grabbed them at the front. Parking spaces limited. We're big fans of El Cabron! Admittedly, I've only had the quesabirria (many times!), but my wife has had another dish or two with good results. Service is always friendly and often one of the owners will stop by and say hello. Tips: get the quesabirria!! Parking is rather limited in front, but they have a lot in the back. read more

I can't give this place enough love. The staff is great to start. It's a cute little place in a random corner. Everything is good that I've tried but the birria soup and the birria tacos especially. The name makes you giggle, but don't let that dissuade you from trying this place out. Parking is plentiful in back, and what this spot lacks in outside curb appeal, it makes up for inside. I let'm have a few months under their belt before visiting since they opened their brick & mortar. Oh, man. Big thanks to the reviewers who posted pics of the Quesabirria. If you are not familiar with this dish, it started in Tijuana, and has slowly moved North. Thank the food gods for that. It's essentially beef pot roast, inside two gently fried corn tortillas lined with cheese, and garnished with diced onions and cilantro like street tacos. The consome that the beef is braised in is served on the side for dipping, with a nice swerve of herbs/spices that only Abeualas know. Spectacular and so hearty. I take it that traditionally it should be made with goat, but none of us can visit the grocer and pick up a goat roast, so... Only place doing it in the Spokane/C'dA metro that I know of, but 100% of the gringo joints will probably never have it on their menu. If I wind up being wrong--great. Didn't come cheap ($16), but I had the third taco for a lite din-din, so no complaints from moi. Also got a generous pour of the hard stuff, with a Modelo Negro, and off to food coma I went. With the exception of maybe five Mex joints in the area, I had pretty much given up on having experiences like we LOVE in Central Washington. What an adorable surprise! We came here thanks to the Yelp community reviews and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is fun, Erika the server was AMAZING, and the Tacos Birria were delicious! Erika told us an insider tip to making them even more delicious by adding a little green sauce and lime to the dipping sauce before dipping the taco. YUM! Discovered this place through Facebook. My first impression as I walked in was that the restaurant had a very welcoming vibe to it. We were seated promptly and had menus and chips with salsa served. Since it was seafood Wednesday I thought it appropriate to try a seafood dish. I was not disappointed. I ordered the Camarones Mojo de Ajo and was pleased with my selection. The dish had nice large shrimp with sautéed mushrooms and onions served with rice and beans. What I particularly liked about my order was that there was a hint of garlic flavor that wasn't overpowering. My wife ordered the Quesabirria. She got 3 "tacos" stuffed full with beef and a broth dip that the beef was simmered in. She could only finish one probably because she also ordered a Cevichee Tostada, which was excellent. We've become regulars on Taco Tuesday (6 visits so far) and love this little hole-in-the-wall spot for its fantastic service and amazing tacos. I get the crunchy steak tacos and he gets one each of the pork, beef, and chicken - always hot and fresh, always satisfying and delicious. Don't worry about the parking up front - just go around to the back and easily find parking and use the back door. Came here after people recommending the quesabirria tacos on FB. We ordered the quesabirria tacos, a super burrito with asada, and a tostada with asada. Birria was very good. Food overall was yummy. Their red and green sauce were yummy too. We also ordered a Michelada and the Rumchata horchata. SO yummy. The drinks are huge! Definitely coming back here on a regular basis. I had high hopes for this place, and they did not deliver. I visit Spokane every year at least once a year. Always looking for new food to try especially Mexican food. Being Mexican and growing up in Southern California you eat a lot of it. My mom and I ordered the birria tacos. Instantly noticed the meat was dry and had no flavor. The consome is what helped give it flavor. My side of beans and rice were okay, came out kinda luke warm. My husband ordered a ceviche tostada and did not like it at all. Said it didn't taste very good. He also got a couple tacos and said they were just okay. My dad also ordered some tacos and wasn't to happy with them. Meat was ehh and they weren't anything to brag about. I will say their horchata is made from scratch!! Delicious zero complaints on the horchata a lot of people don't make it right but this place does, and my husband enjoyed his michelada as well! I'm not one to entirely blow of a first not so great experience at a restaurant but this place does not leave you wanting more. read more

This was my fourth visit here (thought I wrote a review previously but it must not have posted). This place is pretty consistent each time, as far as price goes they are a little more than average but the portions are very big. The ambiance is casual, plenty of seating and they always bring out drinks/chips & salsa right away. Their salsa is flavorful and their hot sauces are very very good, the red is pretty hot! Today I tried their asada fries, didn't hate them but didn't love them either (wasn't much meat on them, way too much pico, and the fries were bland) but their guac was super fresh and the portion was huge for $16.In my previous visits I've tried their quesabirria tacos ($20 for 3 tacos no rice and beans) they aren't the best and they are way pricier than other restaurants of the same quality but they do load them with meat! I've also tried their asada and adobada street tacos and those are good, especially on taco tuesday ( $1.50/taco). I've also tried their cheese enchilada and that was no bueno. The owners are super sweet and work so hard here so I can appreciate that and is why I gave 4 stars instead of 3. read more

The food and service here is great. Their Birria tacos are amazing. The sauce you dip them in is a nice touch. I have also had the Burrito Cabron with asada and abodada, it was big and flavorful. The the staff was very friendly and from what I understand Friday and Saturday nights they turn it into a nightclub with live music.
