I would give this restaurant 100 stars if I could! We went here for lunch mid week and it was incredible. The birria is delicious and the most authentic I have had so far in any restaurant in the states. The staff is amazing. There is plenty of seating so even if it looks busy, there are still tables available. The staff is constantly walking around cleaning off tables, asking you if you need anything in a friendly, respectful way. Not in a way that would make you feel uncomfortable or rushed. Was a 10/10... now extremely disappointing I hate writing this because the first time I came here, it was honestly a 10/10. The food was amazing, the people were great, and I was excited to come back. Yesterday, my girlfriend and I planned a date night and decided to order from here again. Since we have kids, we did pickup. We drove about 25 minutes, then waited another 25 minutes because the line was packed which I didn't mind because the food was that good the first time. But this time? Completely different experience. I ordered a bean burrito with cheese... and it had no beans. Just rice and cheese in a tortilla. Then the nachos, honestly, for $27, this was unacceptable. Dry chips, unmelted cheese, some tomatoes thrown on top, no meat, no beans just thrown together with no care. It looked and tasted like an afterthought. What made it worse is the lack of accountability. I tried calling multiple times last night and again this morning no answer. Calls just ring or don't go through. I even tried calling from different numbers. Nothing. At this point, it's not even about the money it's the principle. Mistakes happen, but not being able to reach anyone or have them make it right is frustrating. I really wanted to keep supporting this place because the first experience was great, but this completely missed the mark. The food here is so fucking good. I usually don't like cursing during my reviews but this shit was so fucking delectable. The queso birria is cheesy and the meat is so tender and soft. I will admit the consume isn't as flavorful as my mom's but no one cooks as good as my mom so... The tacoitos asada came in a big plate with onions, cilantro, and zucchini salsa. The meat was juicy and tender. The flavor was so good. The torta was too mayo heavy for my cousin, but everything was well seasoned. The bread was soft and warm. The sopes were crunchy and the beans were delious; salty and creamy. The only thing that was okay was the chilaquiles verde relleno. They were filled with cheese which honestly made them almost too soggy. The meat was sort of dry, but well seasoned. The eggs were nice almost fluffy but crispy too. The aquas are so good. The horchata was creamy and had a nice cinnamon tone without being overwhelming. The tamarindo was so good; it was tart but not overwhelming so. The cucumber lime was tart and had a nice lime flavor. The Jamaica was sweet and almost syrupy but still good. Service is quick and efficient. They are also so friendly and willing to talk. My family says the food is good, but if you have gluten issues you cannot really eat here. I ordered broth, but couldn't have anything else. It was very salty. You definitely need the tortillas to cut through the salt, but I could not, so I was left with very salty broth. It had a decent flavor but I had to stop eating it halfway through because I was on salt overload. There are absolutely no tortillas without gluten. Everything that would normally be made just with corn masa has a little bit of wheat flour added in. So "corn" tortillas are not pure corn. We always make the drive to Washington for a good Menudo and birria. Glad it's over the boarder of Idaho. This place is very authentic. Flavors are rich and they keep their consistency. First visit. Absolutely will not be our last. We LOVE the food here. My partner, who has struggled to find American-Mex food he likes, said he knows he'll be craving the Huaraches all week. He said "this is the most satisfied I've ever been from a Mexican food restaurant." Also, they have Jamaica, which is so hard to find in Spokane. They have table service which is just as great as their counter service :). It's a little loud because of the bomb music they're playing but not too loud that you can't have a conversation. I had tacos suave and it comes with pickled red onions and all the good, authentic toppings with a side of the sazon sauce. After moving back I have craved real and good Mexican food and this is it people, this is it! Inside is clean and fun, and the service is fast and friendly. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large. Options for all! No alcohol is served, as far as I can tell. The only thing I'd have added is a mojito or margarita. Some good and a couple bad things about this place. Background - I went six weeks without tacos. I know. It's bad. I think I lost hearing in my right eye over it. So there I was cruising in the Valley looking for a taco fix on a random Tuesday. The good - The food is seasoned well and has a good portion size. There is a young lady up front forming fresh masa into tortillas and frying them directly in front of you on a flat top. Excellent vibe. Food is fresh and served quickly. Restaurant is clean and well laid out. And now for the not so good... Went in asking about the Taco Tuesday that I read about on Yelp. Was told "sorry we don't do that". Disappointing. Ordered the Nachos with Asada and two quesabirria. Great choice. Nachos on their website shows guacamole and cream included. Was told after my order arrived at the table it would be an extra charge. After showing my server the photos on their website she said "no charge this time". Be prepared for changes in the food from their website menu. Overall a good experience but very disappointed that they don't offer anything for Taco Tuesday any more. Thankfully my eye has stopped twitching. read more

My husband and I recently tried this place again after not having gone in a while. I got the three enchiladas with carne asada. This came with rice and beans. The carne asada was delicious and tender, and the enchilada sauce was absolutely fresh and well balanced. I appreciate they make all of their tortillas fresh and are generous with the portions. My husband got the three biria tacos that came with consume, and he loved them. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the fresh onions and cilantro gave nice balance. We also appreciated the fresh condiment section where we were able to get additional salsa and lime slices. The lobby is always clean, and all of the tables are quickly wiped down. Be careful with the hot sauce, some is quite hot, which maybe your into that. Kinda spendy, too many restaurants raising prices just cause. Not sure where to start except that everything tasted awesome and the staff was really nice. I grew up in Southern California so my Mexican tastes are different compared to most Washingtonians, but this place nailed it for me. I learned there are multiple people on the staff from California and I think that may help. They make fresh tortillas here which was encouraging. I tried 6 different meats via tacos. I thoroughly enjoyed them all. Carne asada torta was great as well as the chicken burrito. I like that for the horchata and differesnt Mexican aguas you can have refills. I'm not usually the type to leave reviews about places, but I swear it's always SOMETHING with this location. I made an online order and it'll give me an estimated time to pick up. Usually an hour or longer. When I go in manager tells me "we don't have pick up times" I showed him the picture of pick up time, order number and everything. He didn't care. My food was cold and disgusting as it sat there in a bag for an hour. Next time, got the order all wrong, asked for birriera quesadillas and got a burrito? Called and made an order, got there, and they "never got a call for an order". Showed them the number and time and they said "we don't know who answered. Because it wasn't us". NOW months later I wanted to try again, my girlfriend and I order and checked it before we left. We get home, it had so much fat in the tacos and quesadilla but we say whatever, just take that part out. My girlfriend takes a bite and BAM , a bone right in her birrieria taco. She spit it out and threw it all away. Never again. This place has NO customer service. AWFUL cooks. And 0 ambiance. Should be shut down. read more

This was a pleasant surprise kind of restaurant. ALL of the food - carnitas/carne asada/pollo asada/birria tacos, a burrito, and enchiladas - was two thumbs up by every eater. Hefty portions, good flavor, very authentic. Experiencing great Mexican food in Southern California and Mexico, there are some difficulties in finding the same level in Washington...
