In the past month there has been a long wait at the drive-through. The lines are even longer now than what they were during the Covid pandemic. And to top it off once you get to the window to order they tell you to please wait a second, which turns out to be five minutes. The people in there are nice but the service is one of the worst I have ever experienced at a fast food joint which is exactly what this is a joint. Jack in the Box has a national promotion trying to get customers register for their text updates. When you first register you get a coupon texted to you for two free tacos. After that about twice a month you get other coupons texted to you. On SuperBowl Sunday I received a text for their promotion of the Bacon Insider. Buy 1 Get 1 Free. I went there today and showed them my phone and the young lady working the front counter didn't know how to key in the coupon and apologized and said she had to ask the manager. The manager said they would not accept it from the phone. I had to go print it off. The promo was on their counter, I showed her that this program was a paperless text coupon and nowhere in the rules does it state you have to print out coupons for them to be valid. She didn't care, she was rude and short. I tried showing her and asked her to look and read the text message that came with the coupon on my phone where it clearly states just show this when you place your order. She said she didn't have time to check out my phone and if I wanted to use the coupon to go print it out. So I went home and printed off the text and called Jack in the Box Corporate office and asked what their policy was on their text promotion. It is intended to be a paperless coupon and apologized and said they would work with that independent store and give them more proper training on how this promotion works. My problem is the manager was very unprofessional, rude and disregarded a promotion that is clearing being marketing in that store. Didn't take the time to talk with me and read the information I had to validate the coupon. I went back with the printed coupon and the young lady at the counter was very apologetic and felt bad I had to drive home to print it out and come back.
