Me & hubby went for date night and we started off with drinks. I got the mangonada and he got a margarita. Both drinks had super chunky ice pieces in it to the point I couldn't even drink mines with a straw. I tried stirring and still couldn't drink it so I sent it back and asked it to be remade. The second drink was no better. Neither of us finished our drinks. The chips and salsa that they serve was also a terrible start. The chips were extremely hard as if they refried leftover chips or they had been sitting for a while. The salsa was super runny like they mixed it with water and the bean dip tasted like it was made with old oil. We took a couple bites and ended up pushing both the drinks, chips, beans & salsa aside while we waited for our entrees. My husband got the whole fish and I ordered the 3 taco plate. 2 al pastors and 1 carne asada. Both plates came with rice and beans. I bit into the al pastor taco and immediately spit out chunks of fat. The meat I did taste tasted very porky with no seasonings. Like very low quality pork. It was gross and inedible. The carne asada taco was ok. I ate that and a little rice. The beans tasted the same as the dip we had earlier so I didn't eat it. My husband said his fish was fried well but had ZERO seasoning. Even a bunch of limes didn't help much. It seems like they are trying to stretch their dollars by serving poor ingredients, skipping seasonings or serving leftovers. A great way to close shop soon! The icing on the cake was when we got the bill and they charged us $2 extra for blended drinks when the damn drinks were barely blended! Unbelievable! We paid and left, never to return again. I was gonna give one star but their saving grace was the server. She was soo nice and kept apologizing for the drinks and food as if it was her fault. Of course it wasn't. In the end $90 before tip down the drain for the worst Mexican food we've ever had! read more

We haven't been here in about a year. Ever since they became a "Tequila" Kitchen, it's gone hill. Today's meal was the worst, and last, we will ever have here! The chips and salsa were half goo. Salsa great/ chips hard and tasted as if they were prepared earlier in the day! The chili relleno was not even luke warm and the cheese was hard and tasteless! The posole also lacked flavor and was warm, not hot. For $43.00 I expect better tasting food and better service! I really don't understand all these rave reviews. Everything here is amazing, the food, the service and the drinks. Everything we ordered was amazing, my wife and kids had no complaints. The beans and rice came out cold but the server had no issue at all to exchange it for another plate and came out quick. Our server was quick to bring out the refills for these thirsty kids. The food came out quick, the bar looks awesome. This restaurant gets very busy. The decor is modern Mexican. I'd highly recommend this place. read more

So I usually come here for breakfast I like their Carne Asada plates they always give you complementary chips with beans and salsa. Now I've known this place for many years before they were located even in here they were located at another city. I appreciate that they updated their restaurant and try to go more for a higher class, ambience and vibe, but it took away from some of the old school cooking that they had especially their old menu, but they're still very good. The Menudo is classic, clean full of flavor. You can't go wrong with their posole and this time we ordered their breakfast combo with Asada they open early for the two plates. What I appreciate is that they actually have authentic sourdough bread a lot of of these restaurants or places say they offer sourdough and it's just a bad version of white bread. It ended up being $50 which isn't terrible nowadays but like I say, give it a try and you decide. read more

I was craving a mimosa and chilaquiles and this place popped up for both. We went on Sunday brunch hours and were seated pretty quickly. It's very well decorated and it looks kind of fancy. The prices were pretty affordable, the food was really good. The chilaquiles were great they just weren't spicy but lots of flavor. The steak was okay, a little on the tougher side but overall was good. Def will be back again to try their menudo. read more

Our waitress was phenomenal, very attentive and courteous. I ordered quesabirrias and while I will say the meat was tender, there was nothing special about it.. at all. I didn't really the fact that they add the tip without giving you the option to give what you like. And since it's added they didn't come by to give refills my husband needed a refill and she took so long, I guess cause she knows she getting her tip cause it's forced on us I like to tip accordingly on how service is. Also I ordered a virgin margarita and it was the same price as the regular margarita my sister ordered. Once the owner came around he made a two $ adjustment but really. This is our second time eating here on our drive through to Las Vegas. The drinks in this spot are insanely delicious and well crafted. Last year we stopped just for the Christmas cocktails. The specials were not here this year as we came AFTER Christmas. But no mind, the cocktails on the menu are delicious also (they allowed me to make their hibiscus guava mescalito spicy and it was great! My boyfriend was pleasantly surprised at their camerones diablo ACTUALLY being spicy as so many other places don't put any Scoville units to their dishes. (He gives it a solid 4,000 units with possibility to 5,000). I'm giving this place a pass on their chilli relleno which had subpar breading and was covered in watery tomato sauce as the rest of their food/service/presentation kinda made up for it. We were looking for a nice restaurant in Victorville to eat at. This one stood out. I would definitely say the ambience of the restaurant is a 10 out of 10 beautiful bar beautiful entrance. The staff is also so so nice. They give you a side of salsa, and like a bean dip with chips and OMG that beet dip is so good! I didn't really like the salsa. It was like too sweet it taste tasted like the one from the store. I had a tostada ceviche mixta 5/10 I don't think the fish was that fresh. We were huge fans of this place on a recent work trip. I think we went back three times inside of a week. The food was great, service was quick and friendly. We also stumbled into a mariachi performance, which seemed like it night have been a normal Friday night thing for them, though I'm not certain.
