Meat lovers breakfast burrito
Sharon P.

My hubby and I were driving to Vegas and wanted a breakfast burrito on our way... Their meat lovers breakfast burrito was huge enough for us to split, it was delicious! our server Marilu provided awesome service. This place Will definitely be our routine stop from now on. We were so glad we stopped by

Michelada - carnitas, al pastor, shrimp taco

Amazing Food !! Wow. This is a hidden little gem right next door to Mobil has station ... I15 south .. just 20 miles south of Barstow ... omg!!!! What a surprise .... Great prices and fantastic service with a smile. Indoor dining is worth it. Great a/c. Clean. Bathrooms clean too. And chips and salsa free!! This place is so worth it to eat and break up your long drive back home!!

Just finished 4 tacos - carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and a fish taco. They have Taco Tuesday and the 3 meat tacos were only $1.79. The tacos were fantastic and all 3 types of salsa I had were fresh and tasty. The service was top notch & they gave me chips and salsa waited, as well. Extremely satisfied and can't wait to bring my friends here on our next Vegas trip. ¡Muy Rico! Gracias!

So the service is awesome. You can tell they LOVE what they do here. The decorations are great and there's a really nice ambiance of Oceanside Relaxation here. The food is awesome and they have a Hot Cheeto Burrito!

Third time here and the food is amazing. So far I've had the hot Cheetos burrito, surf and turf burrito, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, and nachos. All the service is kick ass. They all take pride in what they do!! You can taste it in the food!! The place is called la Baja and that where you are transported when you eat here. Clean fresh environment. Looking forward to what I'm going to try next time.

For those driving back from Vegas or simply In the area just stop at this "hole in the wall". Food fresh as fresh can get. I had the torta per their request and they satisfied every Mexican food craving I had in this sandwich. Put it in your gpa when leaving Vegas and it will be the happiest pit stop you will make .

Menu

We stopped by today for lunch after reading the raving reviews on Yelp. I order Enchiladas al Pastor and my co-worker ordered Menudo (see attached photos). I must say, the food is much better than the average Mexican restaurant anywhere. My only critique is the cheese on my beans and my enchiladas was not melted; it was instead crumbled. Overall, good choice and I will definitely be back. BTW, the chips and salsa were awesome!!!

Delicious chips and salsa. Flavorful not sour.

Paulina's has consistently delivered incredible food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that truly feels like home. The food is authentic, fresh, and made with so much care. Every dish is packed with flavor, and you can tell they put their heart and soul into everything that comes out of the kitchen. Whether we're stopping in for a quick meal or celebrating a special occasion, the quality is always exceptional. What truly sets this restaurant apart, though, is the people. The employees are genuinely kind, welcoming, and hardworking. They remember familiar faces, treat everyone like family, and make every visit feel special. That level of hospitality is rare and is one of the biggest reasons we continue coming back year after year. Supporting local businesses like this is important because they are the heart of our community. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, exceptional service, and a place that truly cares about its customers, I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Eight years later, it's still one of our family's favorite places, and we'll happily keep coming back for many more.

We came here about 3 years ago for my son's birthday, and he insisted on coming back here again for this year's birthday. The waiter was nice and attentive, he didn't have any issues waiting when we needed more time to decide on our order, and he was quick to correct an issue when our food arrived. We never ran out of our drinks, which is a feat in itself with how fast the kids drain theirs! The best part for me was when I showed the waiter a picture of a drink I ordered 3 years ago and the bartender was able to replicate it and tell me what it was so I could order it again. It wasn't on their menu anymore, so it was impressive that he was able to identify it from a picture. Bring back the White wine Sangria, it's delicious! Oh, I also have to mention that when they brought the ice cream out to sing happy birthday, they made sure to include an ice cream for my 5 year old so that she didn't feel left out. I love that they took her into consideration.

The item was actually supposed to be chicken suizas, but we received chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Ironically, my mom liked this first order more than the second one. The shrimp in the shrimp fajitas was seasoned very well and I liked that it was visibly seared/grilled. My mom enjoyed her chicken enchiladas. 2nd order: Shrimp fajitas, but I received fajitas with chicken, shrimp and steak. I made an attempt to eat the steak but it was dry. We ordered chicken suizas and received the actual chicken suizas, which did not have shredded chicken but blocks of chicken. My mom hated this dish and said it made her sick unfortunately. The manager was gracious in correcting the mistakes and gave us some delicious churros, so that helped. The flour tortillas seemed handmade, they were very fluffy. The salsa and chips were good. I enjoyed my fajitas but sadly my mom hated the suizas.

The Tlayuda was very interesting; kind of like a pizza concept but very very thin, black beans, interesting types of meat, guac, cabbage, etc. I didn't like it very much unfortunately as I felt like some of the meat wasn't very good but that's just my opinion. You have to pay to get salsa and chips which most Mexican restaurants give for free, and that wasn't very good either. Authentic but mediocre. Service wise it wasn't the best either, we waited awhile, had to ask for water, she was nice but wasn't the best Inside is pretty small, they have group tables but it's like you sit all in a line. It was interesting, and they of course have a good amount of 4 seaters. Overall although authentic I would say that for price it did not match quality

This was worth the mini heart attack. The cheese was plentiful on top of chorizo. The only problem was they don't give you enough tortillas. No worries, we just used a fork to get it down. I ordered the dish in my photo that I can't remember. At first sight, I was a little disappointed with the thin meat on top but the total plate together was soooo good. The red saice was delicious. I would recommend.

The food came out quickly and was plated beautifully with both lemon and lime wedges. I was asked if I would like a mild, medium, or hot salsa. I chose the medium one but it had only just a little hint of a kick. It was a good tasting accompaniment for the seafood. The beer batter was crispy on the fish. There is plenty of shredded cabbage and a good crema on the tacos. Fish was very fresh and clean tasting. The grilled shrimp was seasoned well but were small and a bit dry. I would probably try the beer battered shrimp next time. Potato taco was crunchy and the filling tasted good. Altogether, the food was very delicious and left me feeling light. Service was very welcoming and friendly. Bar and dining areas were inviting and clean. One of my favorite songs, The Smiths' "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" was playing on the stereo so that was very nice while dining. I will certainly return to try the other items on the menu.
