I was visiting family in Denham and thought it would be nice to swing by Jack in the Box on our way back to Alabama, especially since we don't have any by us. I was running a bit behind, so I ordered ahead while I was getting gas, that way I could just grab it and go. I ordered a couple ultimate cheeseburgers for my husband, and a sourdough grilled cheese and curly fries for me. About 10 minutes later I'm in the drive through getting my order, so far so good. I get back on the interstate, reach into the bag to grab a fry, and I get a straight, old fry. Okay, no problem, must be a couple for mixed in. Reach for another, same thing. Not only were they not the curly fries I ordered, they were definitely old. Whatever, not going to turn around for some fries. I reach in the bag, feeling around for my square sandwich. Nothing square is there. However, one of the round wrappers is thinner than the other 2, so that must be my sandwich. I unwrap it, and it's a hamburger bun with a piece of cheese in the middle, microwaved to melt the cheese! This is absolutely insane! Can't say this is my favorite as far as fast food goes BUT they are one of the very few places you can get after most restaurants are closed and that's a huge plus! And the tiny tacos are pretty awesome even though they stopped carrying sour cream so that's disappointing. I would advise that you check your order before leaving because mine have been wrong more times than right but then again that's after hours. read more

I stopped here on the way to Texas. I needed dinner and did not want typical fast food. There aren't any Jack in the Box locations near me, so when I saw the sign, my mind was made up. I decided on a steak sandwich and jalapeno poppers. The poppers were stuffed with cheese and came with a side of ranch. While not spicy, they were good. The steak sandwich used some type of steak chunks. It was better than a typical fast food hamburger, but not on par with a Subway steak sandwich. Service was very fast and very friendly. If your looking for a different fast food experience, I do recommend you give this place a try. read more

Meh....really do not see what all the fuss is about on this one. I went with friends who had childhood memories of this place, so I get the nostalgia aspect. My first visit experience here was super greasy thin tacos. The grease was seeping through the bag. Customer service was sub par and that's being kind. The whole space looked filthy and under staffed. The server even mentioned they were shorthanded and overall....3 stars is generous. This review is going to mimic John's because I had pretty much the same experience here. Good food and good service. I was on my way out of town and was in need of a fast and quick dinner. Like John L.H. mentioned I don't have a Jack in the Box near me so I wanted to give this place a try. Jack in the Box is definitely above average fast food. I got the Jack's Brewhouse Bacon Burger and wow, was it good! This huge burger is topped with porter ale cheese sauce, grilled onions, and hickory smoked bacon on a artesian bun. Service was served with a smile and a friendly "you're welcome baby and have a great night." I was alone so I chose to go through the drive thru but the restaurant looked clean and inviting so I would probably eat in next time. If you happen to be in the area, I think you'll be pleased with Jack in the Box. Give them a try! read more

Sat in drive thru for over ten minutes, with just ONE CAR in front of us. When we finally got to window the young lady handed the drinks with liquid literally running down the sides of the cups. My husband asked her if she could wipe the cups. She pushed the lid down on the one in her hand causing MORE DRINK to come out and just looked at him. (Lololol!!!) I can see how "sometimes" an order can get messed up when a place is busy. But when every single time you order from here it's jacked up rather they are slammed or the place is empty. I just don't understand how hard it is to leave lettuce OFF and keep taco sauce ON.. in the past we've said no lettuce and that's all we've had to say, but over the past 6 months if we say that now they leave off they taco sauce on our tacos. After my step sons are Jack in the Box in Gonzales the other day.. my husband and I decided to try it in Walker. We never seen the place overly busy and we wondered why. Well, upon walking in the door I almost fell down from walking on grease. They had wet floor signs up, but the floor was not wet it was totally greasy. The windows were filthy, the door was sticky and greasy. That already made me turn around and go somewhere else. We stuck it out. The girls in the front were semi friendly...they did their job no more, no less. My husband hat the siraga burger on sour dough bread..he said other than a really small patty and a burned bread it was ok.. French fries were fresh. I had a fried chicken on sour dough bread, bread was burned.. chicken was grilled not fried. I was unable to bite through the chicken it was that tough, the second bite was not any better, the onion rings were fresh and tasty. Price was comparable to other fast food places. We were very disappointed to say the least. We will go back and try it one more time and will eat something else. If the place is not any cleaner and the food is not any better.. we will do as other people here in Walker and NOT go back. We no longer wonder why it is not busy there . SAD ! I think this Jack in the Box need some updated reviews as they have come a long way. The new hamburgers and menu are on point! Everything comes out hot , the staff is friendly and they try to serve you fairly quickly but they are cooking everything fresh so it may take a few minutes. I just came here for a quick little breakfast bite. By breakfast I got the 2 "infamous" tacos and a hungry jack. The drive thru was the average wait time. With an uneven staleness and softness, the 99 cent tacos were a disaster. But what would you expect. I literally thought it was a bean taco! I was mistaken when my sister said was a beef mixture. I still cannot believe it to this day! It tasted just like beans lol. As I said before, what would you expect. However, the hungry jack was a bit better. Last week I ordered a chicken club, I got an old friend chicken patty,slice of tomato on a bun--no condiments , it was so gross my dog wouldn't eat it ! I saw the commercial for the new Cheddar Onion Buttery Jack and I really wanted to try it. I sat at the speaker box for 5 minutes. There was one car ahead of me and they took a very long time. I thought maybe they were a difficult customer. Then they finally left and it was my turn at the window. I waited and waited for at least 10 minutes with 2 cars behind me. When they finally gave me my burger I drove home to eat. When I opened my bag and started to eat, I noticed that the burger was very well done and hard with one piece of bacon on it and some cheese. So we sit in line for 10 minutes only to be told they will not be taking anymore orders because the next shift didn't show up on time.
