First time here today. Very friendly staff and we had the zydeco shrimp and after the boil potatoes. My potato was delicious! Served hot and very flavorful. The other potato was the same! I didn't care for the crawfish because they had a very "muddy" taste to me. Not a reason to not try Stuffed, they have many other items on the menu and the taste of the crawfish is just my opinion. I definitely recommend to try this place and we will go back! So much other food to try!! Ask for Amber, she was an amazing and super friendly server!!

After staying in NOLA for a couple of days we wanted to try something out of town. We went to Southern Boys Outdoors and they recommended this place to us. We were definitely NOT disappointed! Some of the best food we have had all week. Service was friendly and the food was phenomenal.

Tried Stuffed on Tuesday. We arrived early so we pretty much had a choice of where to sit . Our waitress Alexis was fantastic! Great personality and very patient and helpful with our lack of knowledge on their menu. We both decided on the seafood boil potatoes . They did not take very long to come out and they were loaded with crawfish tails and sausage! But I was kinda disappointed in the size of the potatoes! With that said they were very well seasoned, although a little too spicy for our taste but good just the same . We had catfish on the side which was piping hot and very tasty! The deep fried corn on the cob that was on top was way too salty and way too spicy! But all in all everything was pretty good . If we return we will try something different next time! Still I was somewhat disappointed in that the portions looked nothing like what I had seen online but that aside it was a positive experience!

Let's start with the customer service--quick and efficient. I've only ordered to-go, but the interactions were smooth and satisfactory. The atmosphere is clean, quiet, and has a welcoming family-friendly vibe. Now, the highlight--the food. Portions are very generous, and everything was served HOT and FRESH, which left a great impression. The signature cheese sauce on the Classic Baked Potato, however, was a bit bland, so the toppings provided most of the flavor. On the other hand, the queso on the Big Philly and Zesty Zydeco Shrimp was packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the toppings. I also ordered the White Chocolate Bread Pudding (not pictured), and it was absolutely delicious! The texture of the bread pudding was perfect--not too soggy--and the sauce was excellent as well. I'm looking forward to trying more from the menu!

Service could be a little faster but considering the amount of people that were there and how fresh the food is, its understandable. The workers are very diligent and attentive. Very laid back type of vibe, community type restaurant. Seen a local influencer there which was cool because he was the reason why I came to the restaurant in the first place! Excellent food, flavor in every bite. Portions are immaculate for the price you pay. I definitely will be back but will come during the week instead of a Saturday lol :)

Honestly, there's so much potential for improvement with a little extra effort in the food. The *cheese* sauce on the fish was really oily, and diluted, which was a bit off-putting. Turning my taste buds before enjoying the entire meal. However, the potato was seasoned well, & the portion size was great for the price. It's definitely a good deal. I really enjoyed the cozy, family-owned vibe of the restaurant. The wall paint looked like it was done by a talented artist. The waitress was friendly, and knowledgeable. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the atmosphere was nice. Overall, the experience was just "okay", because the lack of effort in the food ingredients brought it down a bit. I'm also not a fan of soggy food, & the fish and crawfish bread were both soggy. On the bright side, the chicken bites were delicious, and crispy. I didn't even have room to try the egg rolls because I was so full & stuffed! So, the name of the restaurant definitely lives up to its promise.

Made a to-go order recently! Definitely a huge portion but not a fan of all the greasiness in the sauce.

Service was a little slow and I didn't like that my potato came out five minutes later than my partner. Potatoes were huge. Our server was great.

Babyyyyy let me tell y'all... I would have gone out HAPPY Saturday night after eating here and that…read moreis NOT an exaggeration ‍ From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was so peaceful and welcoming. And can we talk about the music?! Christian music playing the whole time -- that's all we listen to, so my son was over there having his own little concert knowing every word lol. It just felt GOOD in there. Now listen... they were BUSY busy (Saturday night, so we expected that), and we were starvingggg, so we skipped the appetizers -- which honestly hurt my feelings a little because they sounded SO good And I HAVE to shout out the server/owner -- because baby, my dad is 80 years old and will talk to ANYBODY about ANYTHING. When I say they handled him like a pro... I mean patient, kind, laughing with him, never rushing him off -- just truly good people. If you know, you know Let's get into the food though I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger (no onions) with fries... AND a fresh squeezed lemonade that was absolutely BOMB ‍ Like refreshing, perfect, not too sweet -- I could've had about three of those, easy My dad got the surf & turf burger, my sister got a regular burger, my brother-in-law had the crawfish étouffée with fried catfish, and my son got chicken fingers. We did have a bit of a wait, but honestly it gave us time to sit, talk, and enjoy being together -- no complaints there BUT BABY... when that food hit the table... Not. One. Word. Except "OMG this is the best thing I've ever eaten!!!" That burger?!?! I'm not even kidding -- I would request that as my LAST MEAL. It was THICK, juicy, cooked perfectly. The bacon? Crispy perfection The sourdough bun? Soft, fluffy, just holding everything together like it was sent from Heaven The BBQ sauce wasn't overpowering -- just right. AND let me say this... I am the DIPPING SAUCE QUEEN I normally need ranch, ketchup, something on the side at all times... but this burger?! I didn't touch a single sauce. Not ONE. It stood on its own and didn't need a thing I did not stop eating until it was GONE. No to-go box. No shame. No regrets. I usually can't even finish a burger anywhere, but this one?? I couldn't put it down. And when I tell you EVERYONE cleaned their plates -- I mean EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. Even my son, who is VERY picky about his "chicken nuggets," was tearing those chicken fingers UP and talking about how good they were So will I be back? ABSOLUTELY. Will I recommend it? Already have ‍ Will I start a petition (or boycott ) if they ever take that burger off the menu? Don't test me. Also... sorry there are no pictures We turned into straight feral animals the second that food hit the table 10/10 -- run, don't walk.

We were brought flat cokes, then asked for tea instead, that was brought out warm with little ice that melted before it even cooled the tea. Service needs so much improvement, especially during lunch hours, can't even fault the gal working, she was by herself. The building could also use a good cleaning, it's super cute otherwise. So much potential here and I hope it improves.

his is what a real Louisiana seafood place is supposed to be…read more There is nothing on this menu that isn't a hit. Not one weak link. That's rare. The catfish po-boys are the real deal -- actual catfish, perfectly seasoned, fried right, and served on real New Orleans French bread, not that grocery-store knockoff so many places try to pass off. Every bite tastes like someone in the kitchen actually cares. The boiled seafood is consistently spot-on, which tells you everything you need to know about the kitchen. Anyone who's ever peeled an over-soaked shrimp knows how unforgiving boiling seafood is -- timing matters. And they nail it every time. Shrimp peel clean, seasoning penetrates without overpowering, and nothing is waterlogged or mushy. This is a place that understands: Ingredients matter Technique matters Consistency matters No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just well-executed Louisiana food done the right way. If you want seafood you can trust -- this is it.

This place also serves up a limited Cajun Menu which had outstanding food from what I could see...we stopped for fresh seafood to take home. The prices can't be beat by any change grocery store!! We picked up 15lbs of 16-20 shrimp, frozen red fish slabs, boil seasoning, 4 blue crabs (medium and large), French bread loaf, corn, Cajun pickles and some dipping sauces. This place is busy and looks to be chaos but it's far from that...you can get fresh seafood, supplies, drinks, and just about anything you need for a boil. The staff even gave us ice to pack up our purchases to take north. Really enjoyed the time in the line to visit with other customers and take in the place. She made suggestions from the menu and had all of our food on the table at the same time. The food was very good and I highly recommend the hamburger which I ordered medium rare. How the mighty fall. Mariner's Inn used to be one of my top 3 favorite restaurants in Hammond…read more Apparently the restaurant has changed hands, and the new direction it has taken disappoints me. The sports bar aspect of the business has been emphasized and the food quality diminished. The food isn't bad, but it's certainly not the standout it used to be. For example, the hamburger steak entre I ordered was okay, but it was $12 for the patty covered in gravy and mushrooms, one side, and "garlic bread." My side was plain rice - no extra brown gravy on it, despite my request - and the garlic bread strips were small. I suppose everything these days is expensive, but it felt underwhelming. I also ordered a cup of the soup of the day: shrimp and corn. My former favorite - I used to visit specifically for that dish - it's now best described as unmemorable. The service was friendly and fine, despite some mistakes. With one room now basically dedicated to the bar and pool tables, there's a more noticeable "sports bar" vibe, though I don't think there were a bunch of TVs in the dining area? I wasn't really paying attention to that. If you're looking for a place to play pool, drink, and eat something decent, sure, this is still a good bet. But if you're just looking to go out and have a great meal in Hammond, Mariner's Inn no longer makes the recommendation list.
