I'm a frequent customer here but the service has gone very downhill. Everytime I go in it seems that the workers get worse. You would think they are solving rocket science when in reality they are putting 3 tacos in a bowl. It genuinely makes me think how these workers have made it this far in life. That is literally the worst service Ive ever experienced from any restaurant in my life. Its 7:45pm and I came in to get dinner. I stood there for 5 minutes without even being acknowledged. I ordered a burrito bowl today and they wouldn't even give me a whole scoop of anything and filled my bowl up only halfway. Last night, 11/2/25, at around 7:30pm I went to get a burrito bowl. The lady who served me was beyond unprofessional! During my order, she had gloves on but was touching dirty things like the refrigerator with the tomatoes in it. Then proceeds to scoop out the tomatoes with her hands instead of using a utensil. I was so grossed out, I didn't even want my bowl anymore but I didn't want to be rude. I also couldn't understand what she was saying the entire experience. I thought she had some type of condition and I kept having to apologize for asking her to repeat herself. I felt terrible but then after I was done ordering, she finally said "My bad. I got this candy in my mouth." Then, when it was time to ring me up, the shift lead came to assist her in submitting my rewards. When he left she said "You're going to tip me, right?" and proceeds saying "Tip, tip, tip, tip, tip...." Like, what kind of service is this!? I will never go here again! I suggest going just before or just after lunchtime to avoid the rush and the groups in line who have no sense of personal space (before and after the pandemic). Staff can get a little frazzled when there's a big rush because they're trying to get the orders done quickly, but they're friendly about it. Also, parking is tight during busier times because there are some other great food places in the same shared lot, as well as some other little stores. I've always had a good experience here. Like most fast food burrito places, they build it while you talk them through it. There are a lot of different options, and none will leave you hungry when you finish the meal. The meat is always fresh, and while they do run out of some toppings during the rush, there's usually something else good to try if they haven't replaced it. Staff is friendly and attentive, even when distracted. The last time I went, there was something in my order that was incorrect, but honestly i don't even remember because the overall meal (and incorrect item) was delicious. The street is busy, but they do have a nice little patio area to sit if you have a little time to enjoy and aren't rushing back to the grind. read more

The chips and dip that are packaged as a "meal deal" onclude about 10 tortilla chips and one ounce of salsa. At one time Izzo's offered the fancy Coca Cola drink machine with dozens of drink options, now it's back to the soda fountain with 8 drink options. See ya Izzos. We ordered the family fajita pack to go through the app. Lots of food! Our family of 3 ate 2-3 meals each! It has everything-pico, tortillas, chicken, steak, shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, sour cream, salsa, queso, tortilla chips, grilled onions, and guacamole!!!! I let the manager know I was going to be late and she was so kind on the phone and put the hot things in the warmer and the cold things in the fridge until I got there! Great experience! She was so apologetic about the wait but took the time to speak to each customer and truly wanted the guests to have a great experience. I eat here a lot. Work is nearby and it's quick and super fresh. I've always preferred Izzo's over the big national burrito chains. I like how many options they have on their line to add to your burrito and they also offer more than just burritos. You can get tacos, quesadillas, salads, and more. I often like to get the burrito in a bowl. And there's even some toppings not on the line- did you know you can get black olives too? I've tried a couple times to like this place. I just don't. The chicken is dry. The tacos are weird (if you want corn - which you should want corn, FYI) they grill them and add cheese without asking you if you want cheese. What? What fresh hell is this? The result is weirdly crunchy, but hard and chewy tortillas. Very unawesome. The hubs always opts for a burrito and he isn't very picky. But even he agreed the chicken was dry. I'm over it. Love the chicken nachos here! You get to choose what kind of rice, beans, meats, and vegetables you want on your nachos. It can get a little pricy, but the food is so good. I find their illegal sauce super spicy, so I prefer the red tomatillo sauce which gives it a little kick, but isn't too spicy. read more

It took a little while, but I finally came around! This place is on par with Chipotle for me (my former holy grail of Tex Mex). Like Chipotle, you can order a burrito, quesadilla, salad, etc and have it anyway you like. The ingredients have always tasted hot and fresh, with the exception of the rice. On multiple occasions I've had very crunchy (completely dried out) rice - though this hasn't happened in the last five or six visits. I frequent both the mall and bluebonnet locations and have always experienced fast and friendly service. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants find a Chipotle substitute (or just doesn't want to drive to LSU for a burrito). read more
