Tried the Jumbo Jack from Jack in the Box and it was a total disappointment. I wasn't expecting anything amazing--it's fast food--but the burger was served cold, which is pretty unacceptable. At the very least, it should be warm and fresh, especially when you're paying $5+ for it. Service was okay--nothing special, but no issues there. Unfortunately, that didn't make up for the food. For the same price, you can easily find a much better quality burger almost anywhere else. This experience just didn't meet even basic expectations. Jack in the box is known for their crappy and historically bad for you food. However, you come to expect that to be crunchy, hot and flavorful. Not only did it take 20 minutes to get through the drive through, when we got our food it was all freezing. The only thing edible were the eggrolls. Ordered from mobile app. Got there at 9:42 pm and they already locked the dining room. The scheduled closing time for dining is at 10:00 pm. Made me go through the drive thru and waste time. It amazes me how they always somehow manage to get our order wrong in the drive through. I'm pretty sure we have went there and a good 85-90% of the time we have gotten either the wrong food, and or our food made wrong. This review is solely based on customer service, not the food although that one fry was okay. This happened on 5/15/2020. So my bf and I were driving around and he wanted some food, we stopped at this Jack in the Box because there was no one in line at the drive-through. Ordered the 4 piece chicken tender meal. There was only one window to pay and receive food. As we approached the window a female had given us our drink then a different female asked for our card then a male handed us our meal. We waited in the car for about 4 minutes wondering what was taking long....the male then came back to the window and said, "card not going through do you have another type of payment?, You have cash?" I replied, "No, sorry" but I have apple pay." He then replied, "no internet" (I haven't been carrying cash due to so many places not really accepting cash or advising people to pay with a card during this time). He then looked at me with the card in his hand and said hold on. He went to other cash registers to try out the card. Another 4 minutes passed by until he came back to the window holding the card in his hand saying, "yeah, it's not going through." We legit had a staring contest for about 5 seconds but it seemed longer. I was wondering what he wanted & my bf and I were wondering if he wanted the food back since he wasn't saying anything nor did he give us back the card. I felt so awkward and jokingly said, (since we are living in this COVID-19 era..."). "Do you want the food back?..." I was extremely shocked that he said YES. We handed him back the food. All that waiting and also suggesting him other types of payment and still wanting the food back was so ridiculous, I'm still laughing as I am typing this because I honestly can't believe people sometimes. I'm not sure if they eat the food themselves, they throw it away, they hand it to another person. This place has such low reviews because they treat their customers like crap. Don't use the app either if you are going to this location. They will say the order never came through and keep your money. No food. No refund. It takes an act of God to get it back from the app. And lots of time. The manager Juan, who is extremely unhelpful and probably owns the place, will just tell you that this happens all the time and that it's not his job to resolve the issue. Sounds like fraud to me and the employees are pocketing the money. Anyway, Juan finally gave me a number to call and I called it. What a joke! All it does it go back to Juan. Went to this Jack In The Box and just had the most terrible service of my life. First off the speaker was so darn hard to hear out of. I almost had a seizure trying to figure out what the worker was saying. Secondly, when we had drove up to get our food we had to wait at least 5 minutes for each food item, which might be normal during that time. Anyways I tried being the good customer and overlooking it but I had a large order and had asked for ranch and I got two. I asked for extra thinking i was getting a handle full of ranch and i drove off, i looked in the bag and saw only two extra ranch given. Lastly, they forgot my straws. This place NEVER seems to get orders right. Last time I almost made it home and realized they hadn't given me my drink - half my fault. But this time I ordered a coke and they gave me a diet coke. I called them on it and they took the drink back and apologized. I may look stupid but I'm not - while I waited they took the lid off, put a new one on it and handed it back to me with a new straw, telling me to have a nice day.
