We loved Jacks Pizza. For along time we were living in a Pizza Delivery Desert. Most options have been way below par. We tried Jacks tonight and the BBQ Chicken pizza was great. A great crust that looked like a good european bread. Chicken was good and the cheese was too. The best was the BBQ sauce, It wasn't heavy or too sweet and the sauce was not overly spicy. Jack Loves Pizza, and so do I! I'm new to the neighborhood, and with plenty of options on Foothill I'm glad that Jack Loves Pizza was my first choice. Restaurant is cozy but still has a good amount of seating if you wish to dine-in. The owner helped us and made sure that we were taken care during our stay. We had the BBQ chicken pizza and boy was it delicious. An issue I've had with pizza is the crust is flimsy, so when you hold the slice it plops down and turns into a mess. At Jacks I was impressed at how well the pizza stayed together - it's a perfect balance of thin/regular crust, and in a way kind of reminds me of "barbari" bread. The toppings are plentiful and flavorful; my wife and I are hooked and have already gone back. We had the BBQ chicken pizza again but will for sure try another kind of pizza next time. Updated review! After I wrote my last review a new owner reached out, introducing himself and welcoming us to the new business- (you guys should really change the name at some point). Ordered the Persian pizza and fries for delivery. Pizza was good- good meaning I will order again to try it- this time I will ask for no olives and no onions (Persian pizza does not have olives on it, I don't get why this keeps happening. And the onion was too overpowering) the ham was too salty for my taste but that could also be because there was not enough sauce. I will post a photo, 10 slices of pizza with 10 small pieces of sausage (add more so we can actually taste it because it was really good). Something was missing, not sure if it was lack of sauce, lack of sausage in one place and more in the other, the saltiness of ham.. I don't know but it was definitely better than the last time we ordered, and since they are new I will be ordering again to give it another chance. Fries were by far the best fries I have had anywhere in Tujunga and that says a lot for me. This earned them another star. The owner had offered my husband an I to try the food on him while he had messaged me on yelp, we send him a photo via text of his offer, my husband also mentioned it over the phone not sure if he ignored it or didn't register, but when food was delivered he charged us. Which is ok as I said we also want to support the new business around us. We will be returning, I want to try the pizza again and order sandwiches. the food was good with very small changes that need to be made, I really hope that the owner stays and makes improvements as we really need a good gem around here. So far I've only done Door Dash, so I can't speak to service. That being said, food is really yummy and always fresh and hot when it arrives. I assume that means service is great too, but don't know. So beyond disappointed! I would give them minus stars if that were possible. The crust is maybe a 1/4 inch think and tastes like cardboard. It is literally the absolute worst pizza I have ever purchased in my life. It is worse than store bought frozen pizza. My husband is willing to eat anything and even he would not eat this. 5 Star. Customer Service. Need a last-minute late dinner while on the road and saw this place still opened while driving by, made a U-turn, and walked in to order. Can't go too wrong with pizza right? A friendly lady took my order and informs me it'll be a 20-minute wait. In under 15 minutes, the delivery man who's on his way to a delivery stops and waives at my car informing me that my pizza is already done. As I was getting ready to get out of my car, he signals for me to just sit there and he'll go back in to pick up the pizza and bring it to my car instead. Super nice and considerate of him, saving me a trip of out my car in the middle of the night. I really appreciate him going the extra mile for me. The store interior was well-lit, neat, and clean. 4.5 Star. Taste & Quality. Thin Crust medium pepperoni and olives cheese pizza. Not excessively oily and tastes great. My daughter ate most of the pizza while I was driving & I had a small slice. It's comparable to our favorite Pieology thin crust pizza. She likes it, and it passes my taste test. I would bookmark this place for a return visit if passing by and need a quick bite to eat. Did not disappoint. I'm very sad to give a 1 star review to this restaurant because I've ordered many times for a long time. It is under new ownership now. The garlic wings were my favorite (best of any I've ever had) and their garlic sauce was EPIC! The new owner assured me that the wings and sauce were the same, but that couldn't be further from the truth. They used to be baked so that the skin was so wonderfully crispy and the meat juicy and tender. They are not baked anymore, so the skin is soggy. The garlic sauce is not the same at all!!!!!! I specifically asked whether the garlic sauce was the same, and he told me it was absolutely the same, and it is not. Even looking at it, it was obvious. It's more like a garlic Italian dressing now, not the luscious thick white garlic sauce it used to be.... So sad! I understand that new owners want to put a new spin on things, but i don't like being lied to, especially when it was so clearly different! I would have returned it, but i picked it up on my way home, and no longer live in Tujunga, so it's a longer drive. Why did he have to lie to me about it??? read more
