Met some friends here for pizza. Clearly, this is a restaurant designed for take-out because we were four people and got the only table big enough to seat four in this tiny storefront. We ordered two pizzas. My choice was the meat lovers and it was tasty, with fluffy crust, lots of meat, and a good amount of cheese. Our friends ordered an Alfredo pizza and added spinach and garlic -- and the 14" pizza was almost $40. Pretty steep for a pizza, although it was tasty. We also got some garlic bread and that was the highlight of the meal -- plenty of garlic on crispy, buttery toast. Yum! I don't know if I'll be back soon, but if I am, I'm getting the garlic bread! read more

Second time I've been here for different toasted Piadinas. Fantastic! The ingredients are so fresh and delicious. Burrata, pistachio pesto, smoked pancetta, prosciutto...omg, I just split two sandwiches with a friend and I'm already craving another. The desserts look yummy, and the Italian sodas are must-have. Great salads - generously portioned, and our pizza has a nice crust. The margarita pizza has fresh garlic, which surprised me and I would've opted out of if I'd realized sooner. There are a few tables, both outside and inside. My friend and I enjoyed our conversation at an inside table on a brisk day outside. This place has really gone downhill since the ownership change. The food just isn't good anymore. The cheese and pepperoni were sliding off the pizza, and the kids couldn't even eat it properly. If this is the new standard, it's disappointing. You need to fix the quality before you lose more customers. read more

If you're looking for authentic Italian food in La Canada, this place is a gem. The food is consistently amazing - their salads, pasta and everything else on the menu always taste fresh and full of flavor. It truly feels like a slice of Italy right here in town. What really makes this spot special, though, are Johnny and Felipe! They both go above and beyond every time I come in. They're incredibly friendly, welcoming and you can tell they genuinely care about the food and customers. I come here often and it never disappoints. I paid almost $30 for the 14" Margherita pizza and honestly I would rate it 4-5 out of 10. The flavor was very disappointing. It didn't taste like a real Margherita at all. I've had authentic Margherita pizza in Italy, and this was nowhere close in terms of quality, freshness, or balance of flavors. For the price, I expected much better ingredients and overall taste. There are not enough buttons to express how pleased I was with this small Deli on Foothill Blvd. in La Canada - Flintridge. They have an assortment of pizza that is to die for, but that is not all, their sandwich menu in off the charts. I am so happy that I chose to stop there and have a meatball parm, it was the best sandwich I have had for years and I will actually go out of my way to stop there again when I am anywhere near La Canada. It is the best that I have ever had, and the sandwich that my son had while there was extraordinary also, as was the slice of pizza that he had as well. I heartedly endorse this small shop and you do have to pay attention since it is in a small strip mall across the street from McDonalds on Foothill Blvd. For an experience that you will not forget, stop in and enjoy! read more

Picked up some dinner a few nights back and absolutely loved it. The staff was absolutely friendly and eager to help with any questions that we had and the place was super clean. Got the margarita, pizza and the meat lovers pizza, both traditional New York stout thin crust. Crisp and flaky, but soft enough to bend and pick up. Was zesty and fresh. All the ingredients were top-notch. Also got the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread. Huge fans of garlic bread and they did this one. Extra buttery with chunks of garlic. One slice was Hawaiian with pineapples, which wasn't to my taste, but the rest was good. The staff was friendly and fast, though the small dining area is more designed for takeout than dine-in. This place has really declined since the change in ownership. I ordered a pizza with extra sausage and received maybe four small pieces -- hardly "extra." The quality was disappointing overall; it tasted more like a frozen grocery store pizza than something freshly made. The only positive was their website, which is well-designed and easy to use. 4 stars Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. I picked up a house salad, slice of cheese pizza, and a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was good and I will be back to try other pizzas and dishes. Their happy hour and lunch specials look amazing. Service was quick and friendly. Small on-site parking, but be careful, it is easy to miss the driveway in. This is a casual eatery with only a few tables, so it's not the best for large crowds. read more

Was very much unimpressed by both the service and my slice of pizza. They said I could add toppings but they added them after warming them up so had cold toppings on warm pizza, gross. Also ordered a Diet Coke and it was my first time in so didn't know that was self serve. After I tipped and sat down I asked for my Diet Coke and was told "I'll get it for you this time but we don't provide that kind of service, you need to get it yourself." If you read what I wrote, it was that while this was initially a good deal, the limiting of toppings to add, which I did regularly, and the inability to choose a size other than the largest pizza, made the promotion lackluster. Again, when this was available initially I could add olives, chicken, etc., and then upsize to a medium if I was feeling bit more hungry than normal. But when you changed everything and I could only add like 5 different toppings and could only upsize to the largest pizza size, it sucked. Maybe actually read the review before you comment on it - without the ability to occasionally add more toppings, the promo became stale. Eating the same greasy cheese or pepperoni pizza week after week became old, and I personally know at least a dozen people who had the pizza pass who just stopped using it because of this. read more

Pizza is freshly made to order and came out piping hot. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes for your pizza but, if you want something quick they do sell slices. So I finally got to eat after waiting a very long time after an online order. Watching the two Cooks shovel Pizza in and out of the pizza oven was like they were on autopilot. The owner seemed a little frazzled because all of his pizza Cooks didn't show up that day. I have to say he really kept it together by offering free desserts or soda when a customer would come in and seem a little upset about the wait. Lousy tasting pizza. Really. We hadn't been back for a couple of years, and decided to try them again. Supposed to be thin crust pizza. Not thin, and crummy texture. Had it with pepperoni and mushrooms. Not quality toppings. We couldn't take the leftovers home because we knew we wouldn't bother to eat the slices. Found a homeless guy out front who eagerly accepted. At least I felt good about that rather than trashing the rest of the pizza. The salad was mediocre too. Updating my review - pizza returned to former glory & no big delivery issues - delivered in estimated time, food still hot. My kids are thrilled that they get to have Stella's on Friday nights again. It was pre-cut in small pieces so there wasn't that much on top of a full container of spaghetti. My husband loved the eggplant parmesan. As you can see I am on the fence about this place.

Once we sat we looked over the menu and decided what we were going to order. We ordered a Bugolgi Pizza and Korean Style Fried Chicken. ( We ate it before we thought about taking a picture lol.) The food was delicious, very good and presentable. The Bugolgi pizza toppings were the Bugolgi Beef, onions and green bell peppers. Absolutely like no other. There's no other place that we know of that has Bugolgi on pizza. The order of the Korean Style Fried Chicken (we got plain because of our daughter) . Our basket had some potato wedges, some deep fried dumplings, and the chicken. We also got some I believe radish side, ketchup and ranch. Everything in that basket stars! It was so good. We all enjoyed our meal. To top everything off. My fiancé and I were so amazed at their customer service. They pay attention to their clients, they want you to be satisfied. I played their claw machine and they hinted the best way to win a prize on it. They saw we needed an extra plate and they brought it out without asking. My fiancé was the one who was able to win a prize from the claw machine. Shortly after when, one of the employees ( I'm not sure if owner) blew up a little heart balloon and attracted it to the plushie for our daughter. As of Dec. 2025, the husband and wife who owned the shop have sold to new owners. Unfortunately, at least so far, the new folks fall far short of the precedent set by the previous owners. I went to their website (not an app like uber eats or slice, their website uniquepizzeriamenu.com) and placed a to-go order. They have added an option for delivery, so I thought I'd give that a try. I paid a $6 delivery fee, and left a $7 tip on top of that. I got a series of notifications that they were more backed up than usual, and I could expect delivery in about an hour. No worries. I had plenty of work to keep me occupied. About 50 minutes later, someone from the shop rang me up. "Your pizza is ready," they said. I explained that I had ordered delivery. "We don't do delivery," they said. I told the guy that was weird, because I ordered from their website, where delivery was an option, and had paid a delivery fee and tip. The guy on the phone curtly told me he didn't know what to tell me, but they don't have delivery, so if I want my Pizza, I can come to the store and pick it up. I tell him OK, I'll be there in 15 minutes. So, I drove up the road (in the rain) to the store. Upon arrival, I see that the new owners have redecorated. I hate to be harsh, but they have transformed a cozy, homy pizza shop into something else entirely -- they have added a geometric textured wall, uplit by bright neon purple spotlights. The place looks like it's going for a cold nightclub aesthetic, except for the "live laugh love" style salt and pepper shakers on the tables. But, you know, I don't think they get a lot of dine-in guests, so, whatever. After waiting in line, I get up to the front. I have my receipt, and I'm hoping that maybe they can refund me my delivery charge -- if not, no worries. I give the guy my name and he looks at me like I'm an idiot. "The delivery guy already picked up your order." Of course, I'm baffled. "Are you the guy I just talked to on the phone?" I ask. He says he is. "You told me you don't have delivery." Rolling his eyes, the guy explains to me that just after we got off the phone, a delivery driver he didn't know came, and gave my name. So, he gave my Pizza to this driver. I ask if it occurred to him to maybe call me back. Before he could answer, the delivery driver called me, annoyed that he'd been knocking on my door and no-one was home to accept the delivery. Ultimately, the driver ended up leaving my pizza on the ground in front of my apartment, where it was rained on for 15 minutes as I drove home to get it it. The guy at the counter was utterly unapologetic, and acted like I was inconveniencing him because of this mix-up. I'm sure what happened was, this business is under new ownership. They have set up their website so that someone can order delivery, which, behind the scenes, is handled by the Slice app. Slice then uses Uber Eats drivers to pick up the pizza. The guy behind the counter was unaware of this, and when he saw I had ordered delivery, he didn't know what to do, so he called me and asked me to pick up the pizza. Then when the Uber Eats driver showed up, he didn't know what to do, so he just gave the guy my pizza. It's all kind of understandable, a funny growing pain of new ownership. The way it was handled, though, was really frustrating and inconsiderate. Needless to say, after being a regular customer for years, this was my last order from Unique Pizza. My advice for the new owners: - Make sure you train everyone working the register on how delivery orders work on your website. - Tell your customer service folks to be nicer. The customer isn't always right, but when something gets messed up, take ownership of the mistake and try to make it right with kindness. - The new decor, especially the uplighting, is not working and creates an uncomfortable ambiance. You may want to rethink it.

Custom Medium would have cost me $31+ rather than $23+ for Medium Hawaiian Style only. I ended up with the latter and also got a regular Vodka Sauce Pasta. Total bill came to $38 including tax + tip. I enjoyed the pizza very much. Crust was thin. Sauce was tasty. Plenty of ingredients on pizza. Square cuts versus slice cuts. As for the Vodka Sauce Pasta, it didn't taste the same as before. This time it tasted bland as if it had plain marinara sauce only. Slightly disppointed about that, hence, 4 stars!
