There's also a great tribute to the local writer Earle Stanley Gardner with tons of signed books, family historical photos, and a replica office; I learned a lot! The only restrooms are in a separate building and are like clean beach bathrooms. I never did find the stairs, but was told they have some.

They are currently restoring a Phantom II to flight. This is the only privately owned Phantom in the USA (Collings Foundation leases their from the US Govt). Its approx 95% done. Theirs is the 11th one produced and is also considered an F4H-1 Phantom II. In addition they have a OH-58 Kiowa that is flyable and a Desert Storm Veteran and a UH-1B Huey that saw time in Vietnam. They also do restorations and have to other static helicopters. Suggestion is to call ahead but they are normally open during the week. If your a Phantom Phan or love Hueys this is a must visit if your in the Temecula area.

I came with a 7 year old and a 3 year old and while it was great for the 7 year old, it was a little beyond the 3 year old, although she still enjoyed looking (and touching!). Wings and rotors is a non profit so that means no admittance fee, but there is a donation area to help with costs associated with running the museum. They also run stem workshops for kids 7 to 14. Definitely give wings and rotors a visit if you and/or your kids like planes and helicopters.

She was quite happy about finally seeing the museum! Located on a school campus, the museum sits back a ways from the parking lot across a courtyard from the school building. Parking and walkways are shared between visitors and students alike. The museum is bright and airy, having a nice flow from room to room, through timeline to timeline. The displays are beautifully constructed with thorough yet engaging text to explain each finding or display. The exhibit rooms are large enough to give that gasp that comes with being in the presence of creatures of such size, but cozy enough to linger and read without being overwhelmed. There are hands-on activities for youths and those young at heart, a children's play and explore area, and a theater/presentation area. We really enjoyed the presentation that brought the area to "life" through a realistic, animated depiction. We sat on molded rocks, which was fun. When students came, they sat on the floor. It was cool and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. There's a small gift shop with some eye catching toys, jewelry, snacks, etc.

Upon entering you pay $18 per adult, $10 per child and toddlers are free. They had a scavenger hunt going on for the kids so that was super exciting. You really need several hours to go through everything because it's so interesting and there's so much information to take in. The upstairs area was closed and the events hall was also closed for an event. The employees were so nice and even gave us clues about the scavenger hunt. There's lots of cool places for photos and a coloring section inside the NASA area. We got candies in the 25 cent machines, dropped coins in the donation funnel and bought toys at the gift shop. We turned in our finished scavenger hunt and got slinkies. Outside there's a massive exhibit of different aircrafts used in different wars from all around the world. There's a radio museum outside as well. Overall we had such an amazing time. What a great way to learn. I highly recommend it to anyone.

We went to the farmhouse and saw cookies being offered but I seemed to have offended these ladies when I asked if any of their items had peanuts because of my son having a peanut allergy. It was a simple question but they were so mean about it. Not too sure if I'll come visit again. It was quite a drive and the volunteers at the farmhouse definitely rubbed me the wrong way about my food allergy question.

Park and make your way over to the visitor center / gift shop (across from the barn) and pay your entry free or buy the membership pass which comes with 1 year membership, 4 guest passes, etc. The place is pretty large, and if you move quickly, don't talk to anyone, and breeze through the exhibits, and items you can get through in 60-90 minutes. If you have time, and are there on a Saturday, there are lectures and exhibits that are open, like the model train, blacksmith, weavers, etc. Sometimes the place is rented out for special events, and sometimes they have special days like the Antique Engine and Tractor Show. The place is huge and run by many volunteers, and not many docents walking around so grab a map and go explore. Definitely plenty of old, vintage, rusted items including steam engines, tractors, cars, signs, gas pumps, etc. The model train exhibit has been a work in progress for over 15 years, but is 1/164 scale of the donner pass area and they just started building a new section that will be a work in progress for many years.

They have a fascinating collection of rocks, minerals, fossils, and beautiful handcrafted pieces that are both educational and visually stunning. The volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to answer questions and share interesting facts, which made the visit even more enjoyable. One important thing to know -- they receive funding based on visitor counts. So simply stopping in and supporting them with your presence truly makes a difference. It's a small effort that helps keep this unique place running for the community. We've now been here twice and each time got to check out some really neat rocks. It's worth a visit if you're in the area. They have some glow in the dark rocks in the back which are cool for the kids to see. They also have some fossils and dinosaur displays. But the rocks here are the true gem here, no pun intended! Today I left with a 12 inch piece of selenite and the girls left with some pretty stones from the discount drawer and their free visit stone (kids only). They have stones and other trinkets for sale towards the front of the museum. We will be back! Seems like they always have cool pieces.

Sugar was very valuable back then and Chinese servants worked at the Victorian mansion. Makes me appreciate how much technological advancement there has been to make the modern life more efficient and convenient.
