I just left the office an hour ago but I ran home to give Dr. Weil's office a 10/10. Back story: One of my kiddos developed a major anxiety of dentists during the pandemic and every visit over the past six years has left the both of us upset, exhausted, and absolutely traumatized. A local mom's group had recommend Dr. Weil and Dr. Cabel for anxious kiddos and I could not be more thankful for their recommendation. Prior to the appointment the patient care coordinator listened to my concerns, assigned my daughter to an experienced technician, and made sure to remind staff of our situation before we even walked in. Ashlee, the hygienist was AMAZING at making sure my daughter feel at ease before she even sat down. She chatted with her the entire time, explained everything that she was doing, and changed course as needed. Not only did my daughter allow her to clean her teeth, she allowed her to use the electronic toothbrush, scale her teeth, floss, AND take pictures. Dr. Cabel saw my daughter and was very personable and I loved how she had a wait and see approach to my daughter's dental health. I thought my old dentist was great, but after seeing the patience and amazing bedside manner at this practice, I am realizing they are at a whole other level. My old dentist had fancy futuristic private rooms, tvs on the ceiling, and a video game lobby. This place is nothing like that -- in fact it reminds me a lot of the dentist I used to go to as a kid. That being said, the warmness, professionalism, and years of experience at this practice by far exceeds any fancy office. My daughter left the dentist with a genuine smile and I can tell you that has not happened since she was a baby. Thank you team! read more

This review is based on an office policy they have that they will not see young children after 12:00. I have three children that I bring to Dr. Weil, and I also was a patient myself as a child. I am very disappointed to find that it is not possible to schedule an appointment for my 6 year old after 12:00. As a working parent I am unable to take off work to take my child to a dental appointment. I have always scheduled appointments later in the day for my 8 year old and 10 year old. I am unsure why I can schedule an appointment at 3: 30/4:00 for my 8 year old but not for my 6 year old. I am so disappointed that I am no longer able to take my children here based on this rule and my work schedule. read more

I was told by my dentist (NOT Dr. Weil) that my 9-year-old had a cavity. After the first shot of novocaine, they decided she needed a second one. I had already warned them of her fear of needles. She managed to hold herself together for the first shot, but that second one was just too much and a tremendous meltdown ensued. So they suggested a pediatric dentist. The staff was clearly annoyed by her outburst, which I understand - but bitch about us after we leave, don't make sure we know how you feel about us while I'm still wiping her tears away. I searched on Yelp for a good pediatric dentist and chose Dr. Weil because of other reviews. It was THE SMARTEST thing I've done when it comes to my kids' teeth. Not only were they amazing with her, but they told me that a filling was unnecessary. Let me repeat that: A filling was UN-EFFING-NECESSARY. In other words, the first dentist was going to put my kid through that trauma for no good reason. So we're not going back to them and that Yelp review will be so much fun to write. After how wonderful Dr. Weil and every member of his staff were, I made an appointment for my son who has some sensory issues and anxiety. We had taken him to the old place three times and couldn't get him to let the hygenist examine him. The last time we couldn't get him past the front door. Well, this morning, he saw got a full cleaning and check-up. I'm telling, it's a miracle. I could not believe what I was seeing. So, ignore the reviews about the cramped waiting room - and focus on what matters. These folks are wonderful. My kids enjoyed themselves. The team takes a personal responsibility to make sure that their patients don't grow up with a fear of the dentist. And they aren't doing unnecessary procedures to make money off of you. read more

I went to dr Jack after reading the reviews here, as I needed a second opinion regarding a filling in my 2y10m son. The front office was great from moment 1. The waiting room was empty, so we didn't had the problem that some complained about being claustrophobic, even after another 2 kids came. Once we entered for the check, we could see other kids being treated and they were all happy and collaborative, which showed they knew how to keep them busy even without a screen or anything high tech. But inside was colorful and happy. He was great with my son, made him feel very comfortable, even he doesn't speak a word of english. Dr Weil was kind and patient with me and my son and gave me several options to do his fillings in a way that he wouldn't suffer or be scared. We left there so happy and welcomed. We are most definitely going back. They even sent a welcome card after the consultation with some stickers, really showed how to treat clients. -------- The procedure went smooth and nicely. Already went back for a return and also with my other son. Unfortunately he also had a cavity, but it went all well with Dr Weil and his assistants expertise and speed. read more

Dr. Weil and his team are professional, friendly and accommodating. The only thing I'd change would be the size of the waiting room. My two kids and I and another family of three were in the waiting room and it felt cramped. At the end of the visit the kids get the standard toothbrush and floss baggie plus a ballon, sticker and a little prize of their choosing, which is always exciting for them. read more

Dr. Weil is the only dentist we could find that could do oral sedation. The hygienists are very sweet and caring for the kids. Otherwise, the office runs like a factory -- constant movement of kids in and out. Your kid isn't comfortable? Dr. Weil walks away and comes back between other kids. Definitely felt the clock ticking, which isn't great when you have a kid nervous about a procedure. Then billing makes a mistake and when you take the time to call to clear it up, they can't be bothered to apologize. It's like it's your fault for calling to clear it up. read more

The waiting room and treatment areas are on the small side and felt slightly claustrophobic. (-1/4 of a star) The receptionist was a bit brash -- not to me, but I caught her rolling her eyes when another parent asked too many questions!(She didn't realize I was looking at her and she turned to her office mate to the right as I faced the window and rolled her eyes). She was very friendly once you just agreed with her and didn't ask too many questions. (-3/4 of a star) It was my first time there and I thought Dr. Weil was very friendly, down to earth, and competent. He knew what he was talking about, answered questions clearly and respectfully (sometimes doctors, like receptionists, can be annoyed by questions), and he was very capable with my not so easy to deal with child. (5 stars) There is a lovely vegetable, herb, and fruit garden just outside the office and we spent an entertaining 15 minutes trying to figured out everything that was planted there. (bonus!) After visiting many dentists, we were lucky enough to find Dr. Weil. All the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. They were wonderful with my two year old son who was not happy with anyone peeking, let alone doing dental work in his mouth. The previous dentist we went to suggested extensive dental work which Dr. Weil said was unnecessary at this time. He was clear and direct and took the time to answer my many questions, even though he was obviously very busy. My son was comfortable with him. I'm so glad I found this dental office before we go back overseas. I highly recommend him. Another nice feature is the email and text reminders I received prior to the appointment. This office clearly is well managed and highly efficient! read more

I wouldn't reccomend going here... I have experience in the dental field and I know the requirements of dental professionals both with education and standard rules to follow. Spending an afternoon in this office I was appauled by what I saw. The workers were not wearing masks or protective eyewear and not all insturments were not cleaned between patients! I saw a child with braces getting new wires and while trying different sized wires, they put the wires that were tried on but didn't fit, back into the case for the next person to use without being sterilized!! I admitt they were good with the children, but I think I'll take them somewhere good but still follow cleaning protocall. read more

Our boys had visited Dr Weil's office for checkups and had said how it was fun - I never remember the dentist being fun at all. That alone would garner a good review. However, this past Thanksgiving, around 2pm, my son managed to knock his front tooth back - besides the blood and tears, it was terrible to see the little guy in such shape. I figured Friday to be our best option. I called Dr Weil's office and got an emergency pager number - we paged, he called us back and we told him what had happened. He offered advice, then said simply that he would meet us at the office a 4pm. We were floored and he even made good time so we met him at 3:45. He could not have been more gracious or helpful (not to mention the dental work). In the end, we were there for 15 minutes, he popped the tooth back into place and we were on our way, in time for Turkey - all is well. Thanks Dr. Weil!!! I can not recommend him enough. Dr. Weil's practice is fantastic with the kids. This last visit for my 8 and 10 year olds, Dr. Weil asked if my 2 year old would like to be seen. NO ONE cares MORE about your child's dental health than DR. WEIL. So thankful that My daughter has been his patient for more than ten years. When she was hit in the mouth by a ball accidentally, Dr. Weil's office managed to see her right away to asses damage. Through baby teeth, adult teeth and braces, they have cleaned, advised, and even admonished when necessary-- all with the goal of a pretty smile with healthy teeth. It is clear from all their efforts that Dr. Weil and his staff REALLY want the kids to have good checkups. Also, the atmosphere is very pleasant, as Dr. Weil and his staff know how to talk with patients whether they are children, tweens or teens. I got to Dr. Weil because another dentist told me that he was the best children's dentist in the area. read more

Dr. Weil is great! My 'kids' are now 18 and 21 and they have been going to him since they were in pre-school. I have always felt they received the best dental care available and due to the kindness and patience of Dr. Weil and his staff they were never afraid of going to the dentist. It's hard to find new dentists that you trust when you move to a new area. I brought my daughter here and he did a wonderful job. She is nervous about seeing the dentist but Dr. Weil and his team do a great job of calming her and making her feel at ease. My pediatrician recommend Dr. Weil to me and I am glad he did. She also had some cavities filled here and he did a wonderful job and my daughter was very calm during the procedure. read more

As a pediatrician I not only refer patients to Dr. Jack, but I take my own kids there. He and his staff are incredible with the kids and he is extremely knowledgeable. My 11 year old has always been an easy dental patient - just going along with my husband or myself. My 5 year was having nothing to do with a traditional family dentist. So... I found Dr. Weil. Don't be turned off by the tiny location in the basement of an pseudo office building. These people understand kids. They were quick - quick to set an appointment, quick to see us once we arrived and we were in and out within 30 minutes, including x-rays. The office is completely open so I was able to stay close to my munchkin and they do the fun stuff that distracts kids - toys, sunglasses to deal with the overhead lighting, painted walls etc. I wish that I had found this dentist sooner! read more

We went to Dr Weil on the recommendation of a good friend whose kids had gone there for more than 10 years ... until they are in college. It is not a fancy setup but Dr Weil and his staff are nice and comforting to the children. All the children would happily run around playing with the toys in the office and jump into the exam chairs. Dr Weil would answer questions and provide advise regarding prevention/care. He does not force an uncomfortable child but would work with the child and parents to help the child feel comfortable. My 6 year-old, who has been going to Dr Weil since 2, loves going to his dentist. read more

Would absolutely would not recommend this place. We brought our child here to get a cavity filled and the doctor gave up after 5 second of trying to administer the second nova cane injection because our child was scared. He was rude and extremely insensitive for someone who has been in the pediatric field for so long. We were extremely shocked and disappointed in this doctor especially due to the rating and referral. Dr. Weil and his staff are always a hit with my 4 kids ( ages 3-10). We've been patients since 2005 and my kids LOVE going to see him. The main treatment area itself is very cozy and not at all medical-looking in terms of scary instruments or bulky equipment. It's very welcoming and cheery. The dental hygienists are all very personable, professional, and really great with kids. They can get the job done fast without fuss. And they make it VERY non-threatening and easy for the littlest ones. They explain everything and really stress the importance of keeping their teeth clean and healthy, which they hear from me all the time but it doesn't matter until ANOTHER grown up tells them. Dr. Weil is incredibly knowledgeable, very experienced, and also really knows how to connect with the kids, even for the short amount of time he's with them. He is very easy to talk to and none of my kids have ever felt fearful or nervous when he's doing different things and explaining a procedure. He's also very quick but thorough with his checks, so the kids don't get squirmy or uncomfortable. And this seems like a weird thing to notice but I appreciate the fact that he's only got the instruments or his fingers in the kids mouths while he's actually looking. When he stops to dictate something to the hygienist, or when he needs to look in a different part of the mouth, he takes everything out so the kids can relax for a moment before he goes back in. Our last ped dentist before we moved here would camp out in there for minutes at a time, even while he was talking, and it made my oldest really uncomfortable and gaggy. Finally, he is very conservative with his treatment and doesn't recommend stuff you don't need,. I've recommended Dr. Weil to friends who have been looking for second opinions on expensive "recommended" kid dental work and they've been really happy with him in the end. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Weil's office to anyone looking for a terrific pediatric dentist. read more
