I was referred to this practice and excited to visit since it is in the neighborhood. My family and…read moreI recently switched from our dentist who was retiring. We are a family that visits the dentist regularly and has had little to no issues with our teeth. Upon first visit with my teens, everything was generally ok. I did feel like there was a little bit of a bait and switch attempted with adding on additional services without full transparency of costs. We have insurance for a reason and we were only looking to have a regular cleaning. Fast forwrd to my appointment. Again, the office is lovely, the receptionist is pleasant and the primary dentist is young and upbeat-which all were positives. However, I was not informed prior to the appointment that I would need 18, yes 18 x-rays taken before my cleaning. All to then be told of all the additional services recommended at cost to me, including a retainer for my teeth! Again, I was only there for a cleaning. I appreciate being informed, but there was no way I was going to say yes to all of the additional items recommended. By this time, I had already been in the chair for an hour before the cleaning began. Dr. Caldwell started the cleaning and I initially felt he was a bit heavy handed with his approach, but I didn't think much of it and I am not a person who is sensitive to dental cleanings. Midway through the cleaning, he was called away to treat another patient, leaving me for at least 15-20 minutes. I informed another hygentist that I needed to be at my son's game and wondered how much longer the appointment would be? Dr. Caldwell returned and apologized for the delay. Upon finishing the cleaning he was rough and pulled excessively on my back molars. I left feeling some discomfort, but didn't think too much of it, and just attributed it to his cleaning style. Fast forward a week, I was still feeling discomfort on my back molar. Four weeks later and things have gotten worse and I decided to find another dentist and figure out what was going wrong. I informed the office that my family and I would not be returning and that my experience was not the best. I found another dentist who immediately informed me that I had a very bad infection-an abscess in my gums-WHAT!!?? In all of my years, I have never ever had any issues with my teeth, until visiting Aesthetic Family Dentistry. I was and am furious and truly disappointed in the level of care this office provided. Even after I informed Byron-billing manager about my pain which at that point was 3 weeks, he never suggested having the dentist follow up or even call me to check in- which at this point was fine, since I wanted little to do with this office ever again.

This place is a money grabbing institution and I do not recommend! When I went to my first…read moreappointment, they told me I have 10 cavities! I felt like something was off and that I should get a second opinion. After going to another dentist, I was made aware that I likely didn't need to be written up to have 10 cavities filled. Very annoyed with the "services" I received and I am under the impression they are only after the $$$$

Two of my children both had YEARS of orthodontia with not great results. In fact, looking at their…read moresmiles before and after treatment - their smiles were better beforehand. I brought my third child, and she recommended a treatment plan - which it turns out he did not need at all. I took him for consultation with 2 other orthodontists who said he did not need any orthodontia. I'm really disheartened that I put my older kids through treatment with her. Please get a second opinion!

Dr. Bruno was able to help my sister and so I decided to do a consultation with Dr. Bruno -- this would have been my 3rd consultant with an orthodontist for my teeth. Dr. Bruno was the only one to suggested that I could get a healthier smile and straighten my teeth without teeth removal, pushing back my teeth or oral surgery (I had a very noticeable underbite). I am almost done with my treatment and it is the best money I have ever spent. My teeth and actual bite are 100% better than before and my underbite is barely noticeable now. I can't be happier with the results even though I am not to my final results yet. I actually live out of state and make the 1000+ mile trip to Dr. Bruno's office a few times a year to see her in office. Her treatment for me is worth every penny and all the miles. Thank you, Dr. Bruno!

By the end of my appointment, he was…read moreback to being kind, but after being belittled and snapped at for an hour, it was too little too late. He would look at his assistant with extreme anger when I had any sort of question about my procedure or expressed my anxieties. When I asked if my symptoms were normal, he angrily replied 'Yes, it is normal that you feel numb. What's not normal is your behavior.' He would snap at me when I didn't open my mouth wide enough. I suppose that training in empathy and communication skills can only go so far when you are simply unpleasant.

Prior to becoming an attorney I was a dental hygienist for many years. In 2003, I fractured my…read moretooth - a maxillary first molar with a deep amalgam filling. I had a crown placed and then a root canal. Every day since 2003 my tooth has throbbed. I had countless periapical x-rays over the years and practitioners informed me nothing was wrong with my tooth. Recently two dentists recommended extraction and implant. Knowing many implants fail, I phoned my friend in Upstate NY who graduated number one from the Univ. of MD Dental School and then received advanced standing to the Univ. of Connecticut Medical School. He is board certified in many specialties. He has a practice with dental procedures and extensive facial reconstruction. His advice: Refrain at this moment on extraction and get in the chair of Keith Progebin, DDS for an exam. Thus, Dr.Progebin recommended Dr. Zia. Thank God. Dr. Zia did a cat scan and showed me things that do not show up on a periapical xray. He re-did my root canal and saved the tooth. More importantly, the pain I have felt every day since July 2003 is GONE. Look no further. And as an added bonus his entire staff is friendly and professional. And why not park at Saks and buy yourself a little treat when you have successful procedures under the tutelage of Dr. Zia. Take a victory lap!

Believe the hype about this endodontist. I basically look at Dr. Soluti as the Chuck Norris of…read moreendodontists. Here's what's up: When he did my root canal there was ZERO pain. I mean nothing at all. I can now proudly say that "I'd rather have a root canal" while doing many of the unpleasant things that I have to do in life (waiting in line at Trader Joes, separating the trash from the recyclables, doing my tax return). Dr. Soluti is a perfectionist when it comes to his work, and you can tell. That means that he might take longer to do some things, or that he will do an x-ray several times, but don't you want perfection when it comes to someone rooting around inside your teeth? The other thing that's cool is that the office doesn't just view this as a "one and done" procedure. All of their follow-up appointments and xrays are complimentary. And apparently they keep an eye on your tooth for a couple of years. The one thing that might be better is if they had a TV that you could watch during your procedure. I know it's a little snobby, but 1.5 hours with your mouth open can get quite boring.

He told me I needed a root canal and said he could do it right then and there if I wanted to save the time. He warned me that I should take care of it right away etc. I thought I should get a second opinion so I went to Dr. Soluti. Guess what? I didn't need a root canal at all. Dr. Soluti was prepared to give me a root canal, but when I went in he ran a few tests, did a few xrays and still no need for a root canal. He could have easily drilled away and made a handsome sum, but instead he told me the truth. He's a good man and I'll go to him for any other problems I have. Highly Highly Recommended! (Moral of the story: Always get a second opinion!)
