When I was looking for a florist for my wedding, honestly, I got overwhelmed. There are so, so many florists out there, and I really didn't know much about what I wanted. One thing that I was looking for was someone who had experience doing arrangements at the Grand Island. When I viewed Jackie's website, her wedding floral arrangements peaked my interest... there was just something about them that looked beautiful to me (I don't think I can describe it in words) and so I went ahead and contacted Jackie. Jackie is the nicest and sweetest woman. Even though she is insanely busy every weekend with all of her events, we managed to chat on the phone a handful of times, and I also went to her shop to see what pieces I could use for my wedding. I also would randomly send her photos via email here and there, and she was very flexible in payment options (I paid throughout the year). She gave her ideas, and I pretty much went "go for it"! I looooved my flowers. The flowers that appeared on the columns behind where we said our vows were absolutely beautiful. I left a message and my call was returned immediately. I asked if she could do a boutonniere for my daughter's hoco within the same week. She said absolutely! When I went to pick it up, she was preparing for a wedding the following day. As busy as she was, she never gave me the impression that my business was not important to her. My favorite flower is a soft pink rose. Jackie​ designed the rest! I let her amazing creativity fly as she knew that I wanted an aisle design, big and small candelabras (which she had all over her shop!). She was able to keep to my theme and colors very well! The fiance & I were recommended this florist by our wedding venue. I contacted her multiple times via email & telephone, but we kept missing each other. We finally talked on the phone & she told me that she was fully booked. A couple of weeks later we met with a DJ, Mitch Perez, who happens to be her husband & he was recommending her. I told him we had already contacted her & she was booked, so he called her in (he works out of their house) & asked. She said she was free so we set up an appointment at her flower shop. At the appointment she was very vague about what types of flowers she would recommend for the wedding, she gave us magazines & albums to look through. We didn't make any flower decisions & I left feeling just as uncertain as before. I decided to go with another florist for the bridal party & contacted her regarding a few flower needs, whereupon she rudely told me that if it was less than $500 it wasn't worth her time. She did have low to average prices for flowers though: -bridal bouquet $150 -bridesmaid $50 -boutonniere $11-$13 -corsage $23 -nosegay $7.50 -arrangement $75 All in all I would describe her as vague & ditsy, she also doesn't like you to email her with questions, you have to call her. Jackie was amazing and we chose her for her unique creativity. She is an awesome person and worked with us through all the little details. She was so excited for our Halloween wedding and even sent us a book that she found while shopping. She added the extra little details to our wedding like "skull" champagne glass charms and the wedding bouquet was so unique and gorgeous. My photographer said that it was the best bouquet she had seen. Jackie and her daughter were so fun and Jackie even added to our candelabras her own unique touches to really make everything pop. I swear I wanted to cry when I first walked into the reception room because everything was all I ever wanted it to be. Jackie is hands down an amazing florist! The first time we met, I brought my fiance and daughter to her shop and sat down to discuss what we were looking for and what we wanted for our wedding. She had us look through magazines and books to get an idea of the flowers and colors, she is SO knowledgeable about every flower and available colors and seasons, ect. It was never intimidating or over powering, she REALLY helped you figure out what would look perfect on your big day! The second time I met with her I brought my mother, we completed everything for the wedding and created our contract! YES, it was VERY time consuming but 110% worth it! My mother and I both left extremely happy and satisfied! The majority of Jackie's ideas are amazing! There really wasn't any times that I disagreed with her or didnt like where she was going with the idea's, they always seemed to fit perfectly with my vision of my wedding. Jackie is ALWAYS SO busy with her weddings and events yet she still always makes time to call you back or email you. We had a few times where we played phone tag for about a week but I was just as busy at the time planning my wedding. When I called her back and talked to her, she always knew exactly why she called and where we left off! She is great!!! I'm not your typical bride. At all. But I knew I wanted poppies. They are my favorite, and I wanted them to be the main event at my wedding, as far as decor. We moved our wedding date up early--from May to January--due to some illnesses in both of our immediate families. I still wanted poppies, and Jackie was as enthusiastic about them as I was in spite of the season. My iceland poppies were beautiful. She mixed them with other complementing flowers and even kumquats. After the ceremony, I caught some of the bridesmaids eating the kumquats off their bouquet, they were so fresh! I was so in love with my bouquet that I rarely put it down during the wedding and reception, and I took as many bridesmaid bouquets as I could from my ladies. We also had a couple pre-teens fighting over bouquets--they were such a hit! Not to mention, Jackie's personality and studio were warm, welcoming, and bright. I visited other florists in my quest during wedding planning, but Jackie's just felt right. Truth be told, our event order wasn't huge, but Jackie still was invested in my big day as if it was. It was one of the only appointments with a wedding vendor that I left from feeling so confident and excited and I could not wait until we met again. This florist was recommended to me by a friend. Needless to say, this lady has no business sense and is rude! I contacted her via email multiple times in which she did respond. She even called me to see if we could set up a time to meet. About a week or so later I emailed her back asking when we could meet up to chat and she straight up asked me if I was going to book her (mind you we haven't even met yet). I said I was looking around still and was hoping to get a better idea of her work and quote. She responded that I should wait until closer to my wedding because she is too busy to meet with me! We recently were married at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento and we are so thrilled and grateful that we worked with Jackie. The flowers she put together for our special day were STUNNING! When I walked into the ceremony venue the atmosphere and flowers took my breath away. Jackie's flowers were THE BEST FLOWERS WE HAVE EVER SEEN at an event and we have been to a lot of weddings!!! She worked with the budget that we had and creatively used seasonal flowers to get the best value. The foliage she used as filler was unique and rich. We didn't just have cookie cutter arrangements, each table had a slightly unique arrangements because she used such a wide variety of flower types, but everything tied together perfectly. We had 3 different spaces within our venue and Jackie was able to beautify each of them individually (from the grand historic ballroom ceremony to the modern museum reception). They drive to San Francisco and hand pick all of the flowers from the flower market. needless to say the flowers are impeccable. If you are having close up pictures of your flowers beware of others that may not get you the best fresh flowers because you will see it in today's digital photography age. They also can provide many rentals in different antique styles. I personally had collected with my Mom our own glass but used some of their beautiful mirror vanity trays. For all the work and thought they put into everything they are so very reasonably priced.i didn't have a huge budget but got the things i needed and done well!
