I am Native American and have an all white, 100% Pima cotton, Native American shirt. It is my favorite shirt. I had recently moved and did all my laundry at my new place. I had unwittingly put this, my favorite shirt, in the regular wash. To my horror, I discovered I had not only done this, but also the shirt had a bunch of dark grey stains on it when I removed it from the washer. I was broken. Not my favorite shirt..... (On my knees) Why me???? UNTIL..... I discovered Jack's Cleaners. I brought it there as a last ditch effort to see what could be done. Jack took a look and said he'd give it a try and use a famous "Mother's Technique" to fix it, but could not make any guarantees. I was desperate and willing to try anything. I left the shirt with Jack hoping for a miracle. Lo and behold... I was informed that the shirt was ready, the very next day! Jack nonchalantly said the shirt was ready. Jack and the entire staff had big smiles.... I didn't want to get my hopes up... The suspense! They brought the shirt out... and it was in perfect condition! No more stains! A true miracle! I love this place -- fast, efficient, and kind! They do high quality work. In addition to my regular dry cleaning, I bring in my cashmere, merino, and silk blend sweaters and they do specialized wet cleaning -- meaning they carefully clean the knits at the exact temperature they are meant to be washed, then they block, reshape, and depill them. My sweaters last way longer, and look as good as new. I drive a half hour just to come to Jack's and it's always worth it! read more

I took my mom's coat for a cleaning this was my first use of Jack's cleaners. Their cleaning was great but got a quote of around of $45 because the clerk didn't know he mentioned that I would get a discount for being my first time there. But when I returned to get the Item I paid $50 and did not get a receipt didn't get my discount?? Will not return. read more

Tried them out a couple of times about 2 yrs ago. First time wasn't for anything special - felt it a bit pricey but went with it. The second and last time was to clean a very simple short cotton dress which I chose to wear as my "wedding" dress. No fancy lace, pleats, sequins or anything like that. In retrospect my mistake was saying it was my wedding dress (looked like a plain summer dress) because when I went back to pick it up I was shocked at how much I was being charged!!! In a nutshell: This dry cleaner is not suitable for designer items or those who are expect sophisticated valet service. I don't have time to argue with a dry cleaner sorry. More details: My concierge building offered Jack's as the cleaning service so i thought I would give them a try. They cleaned most of my regular items ok but once I started sending designer items things went downhill quickly. $900 fine knit Bottega shirt returned with lots of snags. The owner/ manager literally called to blame me for purchasing the top and Bottega Veneta for making it. I found many things that were said to me to be inappropriate but in the end he offered to replace or pay for the shirt so I decided to give them another try for the sake of convenience. My next order they called before cleaning to accuse me of previously damaging EVERY item I sent. This is ridiculous as every item was worn once or twice and never previously dry cleaned or washed. He said a pair of YSL raw silk shorts was stiff not silky so I must have previously washed them (umm raw silk is stiff sir) and a Jacquemus top was puckering so I must have previously washed it... ummm no it's cut that way it's the design. Fantasy tweed jacket has snags ... ummm it's fantasy tweed sir the nature of the fabric is textured ... a Magda Butrym dress has stains under the arms ummm ok I wear sunscreen during the summer and it usually gets everywhere... This just made it clear that they are not proficient or comfortable working with designer brands or fabrics. No biggie I told them to cancel the cleaning and send everything back. To top it off the owner/manager has an aggressive, abrasive, defensive and inappropriate style of communication that was uncomfortable for me. I was nervous to take their calls! I don't have time for drama from a dry cleaner. I simply need a dry cleaner who knows how to care for my items and has professional customer service. I was comfortably spending at least $50-$100 there per week but I won't return. I will talk with the building manager about offering a more appropriate dry cleaner. Note: I'm scared to read the aggressive response that is almost certain to follow this review!!! Oh well...I will just use it to make my case for a new dry cleaner at the building. This review is long overdue. But better late than never. The owner was beyond accommodating and nice! I came in a day before my nephews wedding with a formal dress to be altered. I thought it was going to be impossible because everyone else said no. But I called ahead panicked and this kind man said "bring it in". I rushed over almost in tears and he took care of me! This place does a great job dry cleaning clothes and I love that they're a mom and pop shop with excellent service, but they started charging inordinate amount for dry cleaning and stopped giving me the price when I dropped clothing off so these astronomical charges came as a surprise. They also charged me for fixing things I never asked to be fixed. Please be more forthcoming with your pricing and take into account people may be on a budget in this crazy economic times and not want extra, surprise charges. read more

Bad pricing. Its 12 dollars to dry clean a single shirt. The guy's claim was "iNflAtIoN". Too bad I'm actually an analyst. The current CPI index is at 8% for the trailing 12 months. This dude claimed a $5 to $12 dollar increase per shirt. Thats not 8% Einstein. TLDR: Go some where else for the same service for a cheaper price. This dude doesn't post price anywhere. Gauges people who walks in and gives them a random jacked up price. NEVER COMING BACK. Next morning update: all of my dress shirt's collar stays are missing from ALL of my shirt's collar.
