Or "This is the biggest playground over ever seen!" They had so much fun playing hide and seek in all the nooks and crannies that these wooden playground always had! Definitely recommend! There are also baseball, football, soccer fields as well as tennis courts and basketball courts here. We saw a a covered pavilion with a couple picnic tables and a port-o-potty.

So if your kid gets tired of one, they can walk to another one. There are plenty of fields to run around on, fly kites, etc. Seems like there's always some children's baseball going on there. There's also a relatively new and well maintained basketball (4 hoops) and tennis courts (2). A good place to host a child's birthday part. I believe there is some indoor space that can be rented (lodge/ pavilion).

What makes Ellwanger Barry special is that there are many donated toys available for kids to play with in the sandbox- old tonka trunks, sand buckets, etc. Outside of the sandbox, there is assortment of other outdoor toddler toys to ride and play in such as a playhouse, bikes, and self-propelled cars and riding toys. The playground itself is nice and there is a mix of equipment for varying ages. The slides are made of metal though, so watch out during the hot summer days or make sure your little one wears protection. Parents here are usually very outgoing and converse while the little ones play.

The paths are lovingly maintained. I have visited in all seasons and conditions. Check out the town website for all of the community events hosted here as well as hours for the park and nature center. The historic home is open for tours and tells the story of the farm and family that owned it for 6 generations. There are restrooms near the parking lot area by the home. A small children's garden, a playground, a labyrinth /maze and exercise stations are just some of the things of note. There are plenty of benches to sit and relax and take in the views. This park is ADA compliant.

Found this park, well in town for the Heart Walk, stopped for a brief visit and exploration…read more Great jem for locals with nature center, nature trail, ada trail, fitness portion, events, turtles and doves in nature center. It was a short visit, due to time, air quality,and pollen. Enjoyed the sun, and beauty of nature. Will go back another time non allergy, air quality issue.
