New heels on boots. Owner asked me when I needed them. I asked him how long it will take him. He said you tell me when you want them and they will be ready. I told him what day I would be back and what time .. when I parked and pulled up he was sitting outside, chatting with a friend. I went inside. He eventually followed me inside and proceeded to tell me that they're not ready. Not only are they not ready but they're not tagged they thrown with a bunch of other stuff all over the place. Ask me if I could come back in an hour. I'm like come back in an hour. And instead of doing the work, he's outside chatting.. again there's stuff thrown everywhere. Nothing is labeled. Very disorganized. I told him I need to wait for them. he brings them back to me still black shoe polish, which I got all over my hands and the bottom of the heels are not rounded off they're all pointy and crooked and a mess.. the store is a mess. The quality of the work is a mess mess.. everything is a mess .. I will never go back read more

Luggage issue I brought the owner a piece of luggage that had an inoperable zipper. The issue was clear. The bag could not be closed. I dealt with the owner himself. He told me he could fix it by putting in a new slide. He made me pay in advance and told me to pick up the bag in one week. When I went to pick up the bag the broken zipper was still broken. When I asked him why he said he had replaced the slide on a different zipper on the bag that had nothing to do with the issue I brought to him. It was absolutely obvious that the issue with the bag was the broken zipper that prevented the bag from being used not the thing that he claimed to have repaired. I told him that I would like to get my money back since he had not made the repair that he was supposed to make (and I would have to pay someone else to repair it). He refused and became belligerent. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If I could give them "0 Stars" I would!! See the images included. No one could have misunderstood what needed to be done... I took a brand new pair of shoes into Jack's on May 2nd to have a piece of elastic inserted on each sandal. As of today, July 3rd, shoes are not repaired nor does he even have my shoes. This guy first he lost my belt that I left to cut and he then implied I never left the belt then he found it and he says, he didn't cut it and that belt was not in the bill when it was. He damaged three of our expensive shoes. He charged to fixed straps on my anguila leather sandals and he did t eve touch it. He changed my husbands shoe color he put a brown on a honey color pair of shoes. Attached pictures. !! I was told this past Saturday that my alteration would be ready today at noon. Jack told me $15, Pepe told me $18 (not a huge deal but...). Husband went to pick it up and was told to come back an hour later. He came back two hours later and it still wasn't ready. When my husband came back 6 hours later, Pepsi the seamstress told him to F- off and that his wife was a liar (regarding the pick up time). The place smells of cigarette smoke and is definitely in violation of fire codes (crap everywhere!). Next call- City of Coconut Creek. Save yourself aggravation and go elsewhere. read more

Pepe has the worst attitude, she has been telling me for almost a month that she does not know where my clothing is and I came into the store to find out what the problem was I was greeted with rudest attitude and the store being an absolute mess. She lied to me and told me to call in a week which I did and she still did not have my stuff told me she did not where it was and that it wasn't my fault that I hadn't come back for it which I was very confused because she was the one who kept telling me she wasn't done or to call back in a week. Brought several pair of shoes and 2 purses to be fixed. He told me he had to talk to his purse guy and would back to me. I gave him 2 weeks and never heard back. I called again telling him I would pick up the shoes if they were ready and he could call me after he spoke to the purse guy. He told me they weren't ready and he was meeting with the guy that week. I waited almost another 2 weeks after not hearing back from him. He then told me he was meeting the purse guy that night and would call me the next day. Well that day never came. I can't even give 1 star. I understand the owner has had a difficult year so I kept coming back to pick up a pair of shoes that I left with him 7 months ago. I would come in every other week. The shoes just had a small hole at the toe. The shoes were worn on the bottom but so comfortable I thought for $8 I could get some more wear out of them. Today I stopped by & he had them. (never called me) they still had a hole. He tried again while I waited. Still a hole. Argued with me a bit. Sweet guy, but after we attempted to pickup (we called before) our two repaired boots ($100 later) there was no one here and mind you this is 20 min out of the way for us. Then he said the one pair he couldn't fix right away and they would be ready 3 more days later. My boyfriend went back when that day came and he said they wouldn't be ready til Wednesday. I picked them up a week later and the new sole was cracked and when I asked I was assured they were fine. My boyfriend finally went back to demand he fix them and finally got them back 2weeks. I love to support small business but the service, quality and attitude was atrocious. We should have been reimbursed for our time and gas. read more

After reading the two excellent reviews, I decided to venture to Jack's only to find out that his services also include alterations and dry cleaning. Both Jack and his wife, Peppi, were very friendly and helpful. Needless to say, my experience was outstanding!!! Jack repaired three pairs of shoes within 10 minutes, and for a very reasonable price. took in two pairs of shoes for repair. One was half sole replacement and the other a rubber half sole protector. Drop them off on a Tuesday requesting they be ready the following Tuesday. I couldn't pick up as planned but went by the following week and the shoes were not ready. The owner (Jack) said he started the repair and ask that I return later that day and the shoes will be ready. I told him I would return the next day in the afternoon. Went to pick up shoes the next day and they still weren't ready. I asked Jack to return my shoes so I can take them elsewhere. He said he already started the repairs and was waiting for the glue to dry. I was so annoyed with his lack of completing the repairs in a timely manner and as promised and the inconvenience of having to make several trips I was considering leaving the shoes and never coming back. I returned today (3/28/17) and the shoes were finally ready. Was the wait worth it? NO! The repairs were below average and a bit sloppy around the edge of the soles. My recommendation is take your shoes elsewhere unless you have the time to make multiple trips to pick up your shoes and would settle for below average work. read more
