I had hit a pot hole pretty hard and kicked my truck out of alignment pretty bad, called Jack's tire bc they were the only ones in town that does alignments. It was 530pm when I called and was told to bring it in and have it serviced. I pulled up at 547pm and they closed at 7pm. One guy tells me to pull around and they will get me squared away. Go to get my truck ready for them and another guy just looks at me and said we aren't going to do anything for you today and we are closed the next day. I explained my situation and that I had a 2 hour drive to get home to my wife who had to have surgery early the next morning and I wanted to make it home safe. Mind you my tire was kicked in pretty bad. He asked where I lived and then said that sucks. It is now 615 and he was kinda rushing me to leave. Looks at my truck for about 5 seconds and said "looks like you bent something ( good luck)".. I had to drive 120miles at 45-50mph. Turned into a longer drive in the dark. The hospitality was horrible and manners were non existent. Wouldn't leave a comment had they not talked to me the way they did. Next day took it into a shop and explained what happened they looked at my truck got it fixed in 30 mins. Said that shop could have done the same. And nothing was bent. Will not be returning to this place. Better to just limp over to another shop Plus a few months back i had to get my tires balanced bc I slung a weight off, thought nothing of it when they got done. Had vibrations pretty bad till I got home a few weeks later and took it to my local spot at home and they counted 18oz weights on one tire and 21oz on another triple row and double stacked, thats a bit over if you ask me. They asked who did this and that they shouldn't be in the tire business with crap like that. It cost me a a set of front tires bc they chopped so bad. read more

It was Friday afternoon at 4pm when the bearing on our boat trailer went out on our way to Austin. Jack's Tires was so helpful! They don't usually do this type of work but said they would for us. We had tried other places but needed an appointment as they were too busy at that time. Jack's Tires was able to fix it and get us back on the road quickly! Dangerous place! I do not recommend. Long story short: Had new tires and brakes put on a Ram 2018 dually 12/2020. A different mechanic (during oil change the next day) noted loose lug nuts on inner hub of back wheel. We went back to Jack's to have corrected immediately. Three weeks later, front driver wheel came off at the inner hub (not the outer lug nuts). Checked the passenger side and all but one of those was also loose. So, not only did they not install correctly, but they did not correct the mistakes they made when we returned! This could have killed us and/or our horses we were transporting!! Scarier....when mentioning this to a different mechanic, he knew of three similar cases of wheels coming off after going to Jack's. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STAY AWAY!! read more

I went to Jacks despite the negative reviews. I wanted to use local people and decided to give them a chance. I bought 2 tires. They were very fast and polite. After 2 days of the new wheels my ride was feeling unusually rough. I went back and asked them to check and make sure the balance was ok. They were very nice and proceeded to check the tires. After a few minutes they came out and showed me the lugnut that had broken off due to the "part being defective". According to them, there was no possible way that they had broken the bolt by over torquing. They also told me my brakes felt spongy and needed replacing. They would fix the lugnut while they were fixing the front brakes and it would only cost $480. They would not give me a price to fix just the lugnut (which I'm sure was their error) I took it to Jays and they fixed it for $56. Thank you Jays! read more

I had used Jack's Tires for years to purchase trailer tires and have often recommended them to friends and clients at the business I work at in town. I stopped in there last week to have an alignment done on my truck which had just come back from my mechanic (who has worked on this truck for years). A tire rod had been replaced and since I have new tires, I wanted to make sure that it was still in alignment. I had taken the truck to mechanic as I thought there might have been something off in the front end. He went over it thoroughly and all he could find was the tire rod. Again, my mechanic is very qualified and has been in the business for years. When I got to Jack's before they could do the alignment they had to take my truck in back. About 10 min later the kid comes back and tells me that they cannot do an alignment on my truck until they completely replace the upper and lower bearings and a stabilizer bar for $1500! The bearings had been replaced about 50K miles previously and had just been checked and were fine last week! I explained that they and they tried to come up with all these crazy reasons why the bearings needed to be replaced...there is play...it is a one ton truck, there will be a little bit of play. This is the second time I have gone somewhere for an alignment and told I needed work done. Previously, a place in Bryan and they said they had to replace upper and lower bearings and tie rods for $2500, again after it had just been serviced! I understand this is a common practice for shops in order to get more money and typically prey on women because they feel they don't know anything about their vehicle. WRONG Jack's Tires! Some of us do know a lot about our vehicles, their history, their service records, and what is needed. I had expected more out of Jack's and will no longer be purchasing tires from Jacks, recommending them to customers of mine and instead be warning people not to use them because of their bad business practices. You mess with one person, you lose many. Congratulations Jack Tires, you've earned my wrath! read more

i called this morning to get a quote on changing a tire on my motorcycle. he said he would look and call me back. He didn't but i was on a schedule so I just drove over when they opened. i brought my own tire because it's for a relatively rare scooter that was difficult to find. no one seemed too excited about it, and i was told i wasn't called back because it would cost $100 to swap out the one tire. (for the record, the two places I didn't want to drive all the way to austin for quoted me $75 and $85) I told them I needed it done today, because it was going to sell tomorrow. I got a call a couple hours later saying that the tires didn't match. Wasn't until after they racked up $102 in labor that these tire professionals noticed it. 2 stars only because the gentleman at the desk was courteous; nonetheless the 20 additional wheels and tires over at my place that won't be rolling for new treads at Jack's. read more

We have gone all hours of the day and had quick in-and-out service. We have had patches, plugs, "new" used tires put on, and new tires put on. Had a slow leak on front wheel, went in and waited only 5 mins for my vehicle to be serviced. Had 2 nails in tire with old patch coming undone. They fixed it with no problem and probably waited about 20 mins for everything to be done, including checking the air in the rest of the tires. Friendly, professional service. No long waiting lines.
