This is such an awesome little cafe. I came by during lunch on a week day and it was pretty packed, but the ordering process was very easy and swift. I like how you can customize sandwiches to your liking, and the outdoor seating area is really nice. I got a Chicken Salad Wrap. It was alright -- not the best I've had, and I felt like the ingredients weren't super balanced. It was almost all spinach inside of the wrap and the chicken salad itself was also jut alright. I've definitely had better wraps for the price, but this was a nice spot to eat, sit, and work outdoors. Will probably be back soon :)

What an unexpected delight! I got an iced dirty try, and it was really really good! They have a beautiful patio outside and free parking in the lot. Everyone was super nice, and the food came out quick! The Caprese sandwich was good, but needed a lot of salt and I took it to go so I didn't have any.

The service was prompt and efficient. They made my sandwich so well. I was craving an Italian sub and they didn't disappoint. The French baguette was crisp and fresh. The deli dressing was so on point! I loved the tuna melt my husband ordered too. I would definitely come back here again for another amazing deli sandwich. The cafe itself is very causal but it's exactly what you expect from it and it works!

I think they should rename this place, "Well Hidden" or "The Secret Place" because the only way you'll find it is because you probably already know it's there. They do good business so maybe that's the idea. I'm glad it's working for them because they make freakin' great sandwiches! You have your choice of creating your own sandwich or salad or getting one that has the ingredients already created for you, such as an Italian sub, Rueben, etc. I made my own sandwich. I went with turkey, on sourdough. It was huge! I only ate half, but that gave me a nice snack to take home. I hate to say, the sourdough bread just tasted like white bread. What a bummer. I can't believe such a great sandwich place has sourdough bread that isn't sour. Still, even with the whitebread taste of the sourdough bread, it still tasted great. It was loaded up. See my pics. They really know how to make a great sammich!! They have a nice variety of chips and drinks to go along with your meal, as well as some bakery items. You order your food at the check stand and they bring it out to you. We ordered a couple of cookies but realized they didn't give them to us until we were already gone! Another bummer. My friend went back and got his, though. I was already too far away before I realized it. I sure hate missing out on a good cookie! There's no indoor seating but there's plenty of nice outdoor patio seating. The sandwiches are in the $13-$14 range so with chips and a drink you'll easily spend $20 plus tip. It is good, though and so is the quality. Nice staff, too!

I ordered my Cilantro Egg Salad through Doordash today. Now, this isn't the first time I've had it, in fact this is the ONLY place that I will eat Egg Salad from! But today, whoever made my sandwich did such an amazing job that I actually called Jackson Cafe to tell them! Keep up the amazing work! All of the sandwiches and even the desserts that I've had from your restaurant are DELICIOUS!

This has quickly become my favorite sandwich spot in LA. I order lunch from here several times a week, and they always go above and beyond and include a nice note or complimentary treat (like their Cinnamon Crumb). The food is excellent... fresh, high quality ingredients and delicious. In the past year, I've probably ordered 50 sandwiches here, I'm annoyingly picky, and they've never messed up my order once! Their attention to detail, and how well they treat their customers is unique to anything I've experienced in LA. Would highly recommend! read more

I have not tried much here, I need to return to have more input on the food. I've been to this place only once, and did it because of Sam, the owner, who used to be at the Jackson's Market. Sam is great! His customer service skills are stellar, always friendly, kind and attentive to customers. I wish other business owners had the same demeanor as Sam. The Lavazza espresso was perfect and the pre-packed stuffed grape leaves ready to go were good. My friends tried the pancakes and an omelet, but they did not like them much. The presentation wasn't very appealing either. I want to go back to try the cheese and cold cuts as well as a sandwich, which seems to be their most successful item on the menu. read more

Usually we go the Jackson Market on Jackson Street, but they're closed now.. maybe due to the stay at home order.. not sure. Anyways, we had food delivered through Grubhub. It was delicious! This is a good quality deli. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The Italian and caprese Sandwiches are very good. You can also make the sandwich exactly how you want it so that's great for picky eaters or those with allergies. There is very often a fire truck or paramedic unit in the parking lot which is a great sign because they know all the good places to eat. read more

Pretty disappointing experience after having so many great meals from Jackson Market. I paid $18, yes EIGHTEEN dollars for this chicken salad sandwich. You can see for yourself what that got me: 75% lettuce and very little chicken salad :( read more

Fresh ingredients and generous portions! It is pricey like people say but it's worth it for the quality. It usually ends up 2 meals for me - I eat half of my sandwich or salad for lunch and the rest towards the end of my work day. If you get any type of lunch meat they really layer it on. To order, you fill out a card for either a sandwich/wrap or a salad. Put it in the basket, pay and they call your name. Gets a bit chaotic if it's busy because it's so small inside. They also offer pizza, soup, and Italian dishes (like chicken Marsala, so good). My favorite is their chicken tortilla soup!! They only offer 1 size for soup, wish they offered a larger portion. I'd buy it by the quart if I could. read more

Love the sandwiches as Jackson Cafe. Fill in a form with your sandwich order and put it in the basket, and your sandwich will be ready in just a few minutes. Or better yet, phone in your order and have it waiting for you when you get there. They serve pizza by the slice as well, though I have not tried it yet. read more

I've never actually been inside, I have only ordered through Postmates, but this is one of the best sandwiches I've had since moving to Los Angeles. I get the gluten free bread panini pressed and it is divine! When my delivery driver dropped off my food he said the staff was so kind and friendly and the food looked so good that he ended up ordering a sandwich for himself too read more

This review is long overdue, but Jackson's is the very best. The food is fresh, customizable, and there's something for every appetite. It's a hidden gem but I was lucky enough to work walking distance and went there countless times to grab coffee, breakfast, or lunch. I've been back twice and I don't know what happened but the service was amazing. Super attentive, they let us try samples before buying (due to diet restrictions) and even made my daughter fresh guacamole when they were out. It's a small place but good for a quick snack. Remarkably impressed with the service at Jackson Cafe. They are open with a lot of exterior seating and are so accommodating to everything you might need. We asked for a high chair and they didn't have one and the owner came back later and told us that he had ordered one for us. And their food is so good. Had the jerk chicken and Italian subs. Both were delicious. Highly recommend. read more

This cafe is the best kept secret in town! The food is fresh, there are tons of healthy items to choose from and the owner Sam is an angel. He believes in treating each customer like family and he always adds a special touch to each experience. I mean, I literally never leave a review on anything but this place was SO SLOW I felt obligated. I'm typing this as I go on approximately 30 minutes waiting for a sandwich! 30 minutes! Turkey, Ham, cheese, lettuce. This is basically the only lunch/sandwich spot over here, explain how you are going to have ONE PERSON making sandwiches. It makes zero sense. Not to mention it's in an area where people are working and need to grab a QUICK bite before a meeting. Update - 5 minutes later and still no sandwich. Hoping it's good and also only takes me 5 minutes to eat my first and last sandwich ever here. Update 2 - my friend has a 2pm meeting. It's now 140. We arrived here at 1pm...still no sandwich...are you kidding?! read more

Great sandwiches, but their service is still consistently slower than slow. I had to lower their rating to 1 Star. Wow these guys still can't get their sandwich production line straight. Slow is an understatement. It embarrassing. Uber Eats would have been faster. read more

This café is my happy Place in my neighborhood ( Blair hills , Baldwin hills ) . They are serving sandwiches with different breads , ( the baguettes and croissants are delicious , trust me I am French )différents meats , salads , a lot of choices of cold and hot drinks , soups .... and don't forget so many things for the breakfast . A beautiful and big terrace , very clean with hand sanitizer on each table , the owner Sam is super nice and always cleaning and cleaning . What made it even worse was how casually the staff handled it. No courtesy for the delay, no discount, no acknowledgment that they wasted my time, just bad attitude and complete indifference. For a place with a name like Schnitzly, the service was embarrassingly low level. We finally took the food home late. Then the next morning, my girlfriend woke up nauseous from food poising and ended up throwing up multiple times within a couple of hours. After the awful service the night before, that was the final nail in the coffin. This place delivered the full package: horrible timing, careless staff, no professionalism, low-quality food, and an experience disgusting enough to make sure we never come back. I almost never leave bad reviews, but Schnitzly earned every word of this one. If you want cold service, wasted time, and food that leaves you regretting the entire night by morning, this is your spot. Otherwise, stay far away.

It was honestly better than many versions I've had in Taiwan, and I've had plenty. The chicken was crispy and crunchy without being greasy, and the meat stayed juicy rather than drying out. If you come here, order this. The pork belly bun was my personal favorite. The braised pork belly practically melted in my mouth, and everything was seasoned beautifully. Simple, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The pan-fried pork buns were the only disappointment. The filling felt underseasoned, and the bottoms lacked the crispy crust I was hoping for. They were fine, but not something I would order again. The beef noodle soup was solid. The broth was excellent, with a depth of flavor and spice profile that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the beef shank was overcooked and a bit too dry (乾) for my liking. For dessert, we had the Hakka mochi. It was served warm, pleasantly chewy, and not overly sweet. It was a nice way to end the meal and made me curious to try some of their other desserts next time. This was overall a fantastic meal. Not every dish was perfect, but the highlights were memorable enough that I'll gladly return. The popcorn chicken alone is worth the visit.

It was really sugary but that pudding mixed in with the fruit and boba like flavor just hit the spot. It gave me brown sugar boba which basically means it was a brown sugar syrup haha. You have to try it out but parking is a bit tough.

We work next to this cafe, and in the area there are not many options. This cafe became so ridiculous that we ALL are bringing food from home instead of having to eat anything from there. I once got frozen food from target and microwaved it, pretty sure it was the worst thing I ate, but I much rather do that then get in line here. Could give them -5 stars if I could. Please enjoy some of these jams: - one time they made me wait for a soup so long, only to realize there is no soup. Then the server scrapes up whats left at the bottom, all thick and stuff (maybe 1 inch of soup), then proceeds to charge me for a half soup.????? I ain't even mad. - one time i order a sandwich, go in there before the lunch rush. then everybody else comes in after me. they tell them to put their sandwich order papers on top of each others. they start taking the papers from top to bottom; what happens next is the people who came in 2 seconds ago get their orders first and people who came in 30 mins ago wait another 30 mins to get their orders last. - they randomly have excuses like "our cook is gone." "the oven is not working" "we don't have gas" " meeh, sorry we don't have coffee today. the guy who knew how to make coffee is not here". so ridiculous that you are asking for it if you are going there. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem! Every time we visit for a custom made deli sandwich, or even just a coffee, the quality is superb and the customer service is impeccable. And no joke, this is the BEST deli sandwich you can get in the Culver City area. Maybe even LA. Sam truly is an awesome guy and is the reason we've started to visit regularly. He is also dog friendly and the last time we were in shared some delicious deli meet with our pup. She, of course, was as thrilled as we were. Highly Recommend. Off the Charts. CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES!!!!! If I could give negative stars, I would. I've bought food from this establishment multiple times and my co-workers as well, and we've either had to remind employees to remove expired food from the shelves or have accidentally purchased spoiled foods. My co-worker, who is allergic to mold, said she found mold in her hummus. This place has the audacity to continue selling spoiled foods. This place really deserves to be downgraded to a C, or even an F for food service. read more

PROS - most ingredients are fresh - the sandwiches are tasty - large portions (1 sandwich = 2 meals for me) - employees are sweet CONS - the set up does not work - the long wait for food (takes typiclaly 25 minutes to get sandwich) - sometimes ingredients are not fresh - management and employee training is clearly lacking - attention to detail - not changing practices after many complaints read more

The worst customer service. Usually one guy running around like a chicken with his head cut off for 10-20 people. Hire more staff? I've been told "oh, we don't have eggs today." Or "we don't make those right now." Don't go here if you can help it. Sucks for surrounding businesses that have limited options for lunch. read more

Where do I start? The customer service can REALLY improve. The prices are WAY too expensive. Does the behind the counter staff know how to smile? They have an espresso machine, does anyone there know how to use it? I now leave the office for lunch or pack a lunch, cant see giving my $ to a poor establishment. read more
