Easy in and out. Nestled right in front of the mountains it's quite a view and place to fly into and out of. A good sized cafe and gift shop are in the one lone terminal and it was well fashioned considering the size of the airport. Lots of car rental agencies and everyone I spoke with was nice. I came and went during off-peak times/days and the place was never busy or crowded. TSA Pre-Check here worked great. It's a bit outside of town which gives you an excuse to drive and see the country. Though the two-lane highway means it could get packed easily due to an accident and it only looks like there is one way in or out. But all in all I was pleased with this spot and would hope to come back for some site seeing and hiking someday. read more

Wow, tiny. Pretty much your typical regional airport that gets packed when planes land and there is little to do. You won't need much time to get through security and there are not many options for food or drink before you walk out to your plane to board. This airport was really good for people watching too. The airport is small and easy to navigate however the restaurant situation, Jedidiahs, is pathetic. Not only do you have a long line to wait to get food or place an order, if the kitchen gets your order wrong you will be yelled at by the manager when you ask for the order to be fixed. One would think that with a menu that has very limited options it would be easy to get it right. They have a coffee bar but when you get your order you are then told that the coffee is self serve. Best to get breakfast before you get here or purchase a cold sandwich or fruit. read more

Love the city and area around Jackson but the airport no so much. Attached is a picture demonstrating how unorganized they are with flights out in the morning. Not sure if it was an airport decision or a United Air decision, but having 2 large planes load people at the same time with gates next to each other was a mess. They had multiple options, but they crammed everyone into the corner of this place - see picture. Car rental was a similar experience - when we picked up the car we confirmed they would be there at 5am to receive the cars on our return - well 545am and not one car rental place was there. Not a big deal, but giving customers some information would be a nice idea. We have been traveling both personally and for business for many years in small and large airports around the world - this one really didn't seem organized, especially with the volume of people they have going through there. read more

What a great airport! Getting in and out is quick. Although I didn't check a bag, it seemed that the process was unusual thanks to the construction: You have to (at least temporarily) pick up your suitcases outside. The highlight? Boarding via airstairs. That's a treat from yesteryear that, for some unknown reason, most airports have long since abandoned. Sure, jetbridges mean passengers aren't exposed to the weather, but I think getting out and seeing an airplane offers a unique perspective on the miracle of powered flight. There's one restaurant and more than a few drink machines. There are also TVs, but it seems like a fair number of people pass the time staring at the Tetons, which sit just beyond the gates. It's a great airport. Although you don't need it, you might enjoy giving yourself a little bit of extra time to enjoy the unique views out the windows. read more

Such an adorable airport and the only airport in the US located within a national park. Our flight arrived close to 10pm - we were unable to see the beautiful surroundings of the Teton mountains. Upon arrival - there aren't any jet bridges so all planes deplane from a ramp and you walk a short distance to baggage claim. Everyone around us was cheering when their bags were visible so I imagine quite a few bags don't make these Jackson Hole flights. Make sure to bring a toothbrush and a change of clothes in your carry on along with something warm to put on to walk to the barge claim part of the airport. Once you exit the airport there are taxis, Uber pickup locations and hotel shuttles along with rental car companies. On our return to the airport - we were dropped off by our hotel shuttle (about a 15 minute ride from town) and the entire check in process took about 10 minutes - from checking in to getting to our gate. There are a few small gift stores, one place that serves prepackaged food like sandwiches and salads and a restaurant that serves breakfast until 10:30am and lunch consists of burgers, sandwiches, and the like. They offer quite a few souvenirs in the way of Huckleberry - jam, syrup, coffee, tea, etc. This restaurant also offers a full service bar with some amazing coffee liquor drinks. Boarding is a breeze and a shorter walk to the plane than it was when we arrived. Jackson Hole is a great (COLD) place and we really enjoyed our time here. Safe travels my friends. read more

The Jackson Hole airport is A-OK for a small airport. I was flying out on a recent trip and the employees were very accommodating in re-booking me when my flight was delayed such that I was going to miss my connection (I actually ended up arriving home earlier than expected). One downside of this airport is that flights seem to arrive and depart in bulk every three or so hours, which often means amenities for while you wait (like the restaurant/bar and restrooms) are usually pretty crowded when you'll be there using them. Also, given the number of people I saw on crutches/in wheelchairs after presumably falling down Corbet's, the planes are usually quite a ways away from the gate. They are doing construction now, so maybe this will be resolved when it's complete. TIP: Take your pic under the iconic gate on your way to baggage claim upon arrival. read more

For this city lady, the airport was a great introduction into my future Yellowstone vacation. Upon landing, you are forced to walk from the plane to the airport building itself--no bridges connecting the two at all here. The airport is surrounded by snowy mountains and the building itself looks like a more sophisticated Lincoln Logs structure. ARRIVAL FROM A TRIP There's a lot of construction in the south end of the building - I can only hope for the future they're adding more amenities. There's no luggage belt, instead you wait at the airport's entrance for the luggage car to drive there and unload the luggages in a line on mini platforms. Often this takes 20 minutes after a flight. During this wait there's appropriate seating areas however there's only one restroom on the north end and no water fountains I could see. The desks of a couple car rentals occupy the south end while ticket check ins are on the north. While you wait for luggage you can check out the cool wood-carved décor littering the entrance or glance out the very large windows into the snow-topped mountains in the distance. READY TO DEPART Although this entire airport can probably fit inside a school's gym, it has everything a regular airport has (albeit less food options and a covered garage). Check in was fast with their automated kiosks, there was no line at all in security (but I still felt safe going through it) and the waiting area is pretty big! (There's a fireplace at the center but it was turned off during my visit) The dozen 'gates' are all together so they just share one big waiting area with bathrooms at either end. The small gift shop and café on the north side had a good variety of things to keep people occupied as they waited. read more

Warm, cozy, free wi-fi......there is even a fireplace in the middle with some cozy leather sofas! It doesn't get much more comfy than this in an airport! JAC gets the high marks for majestic runway views. The runway is parallel to the peaks the nearby Grand Tetons. Its a choppy way up and down, but the views cannot be beat. I rarely look out the windows anymore, but you should get a window seat on this flight. Airport is small and you can get in and out quickly. The rental car lot is just outside, so that makes things even faster. FYI, some renovations in progress and your baggage is expected to be delayed. read more

Loved this airport. You get off the plane to an amazing view, entering an adorable little airport. There were representatives from a bird rescue place there with birds they were rehabilitating. Another fun thing to arrive to! Many anima based attractions like that are just keeping animals in captivity but it was nice to see these birds being genuinely cared for and hearing their story. A fun way to be entertained while waiting for our luggage, though everything worked very quickly! Overall, landing in Jackson was a memorable experience! read more

I think the decor in here is way nicer than my house. If I could, I would just come here and sit by the fireplace that they have. The TSA workers here were some of the nicest I have ever encountered. They treat you like people which is pretty rare. Everyone here had a smile on their faces which we couldn't believe. I truly think this is one of the happiest places in the US. This place was clean, beautifully decorated and had a decent food option for a small airport. The biggest negative are lack of good flights. In the summer the options are much better but in the winter there are few direct flights to the east coast. read more

Flying into Jackson Hole is a different experience than most airports. Once the plane clears the surrounding mountains it is a very rapid descent to land. After touching down, the plane uses the air bakes to come to a very quick stop. Finally, there are no jet bridges, so when you see your fellow passengers putting on their coats and hats, you should do likewise. The baggage claim area is located right next to where the planes are parked, so the wait is extremely quick. When leaving I was pleased to see that they have a TSA pre check lane! read more

I give this airport 3 stars mainly because there are very few flights/airlines that fly here and the general lack of plugs for phones and laptops. Otherwise, the airport seating was very comfortable, internet was free/accessible, clean environment and basic amenities. Bottom line...fly here for convenience to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and other nearby towns instead of a further airport where you would have to drive in further. However if there is a delayed connection in this airport then expect to have to fly in the next day since there are few flights here per day. Jackson Hole's Airport is BY FAR the tiniest airport I have ever flown into. Not many airlines fly directly here so most likely you'll have to connect someplace else. They only have one terminal which is crazy... but it's clean, beautifully decorated and pretty organized. At the time of our arrival, they were actually going through construction so the baggage claim was out of service. No worries! They told us that we can pick it up at the curb... haha! Naturally with an airport that small, security was a breeze. Probably 10 minutes max. The seating area is decently sized with gorgeous paintings on Wyoming. Adjacent to the waiting room is a cute cafeteria where you can get magazines, WY swag, sandwiches, drinks and more. My favorite feature was the "take one-leave one" book shelf sponsored by a local library. They had a substantial selection to choose from which is perfect for passing the time until takeoff. One negative note is that the lady they had announcing flights and important information had the THICKEST accent. We couldn't understand a single thing she was saying. Not the best choice. But the most positive thing to note.... that view. Just wow. The first thing you'll see upon landing is the breath-taking Grand Tetons. Couldn't have asked for a better welcome to WY! read more

You guys... there are comfortable bean bag chairs, incredible art, clean bathrooms, a cafe stocked with great food all under the roof of the airport (which looks like an enormous log cabin.) There aren't many airports I enjoy hanging out in but I can wrap my mind around lounging in the bean bag chairs for a bit here! read more

I recently flew in and out of here for a trip to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. I love when you get off the plane and walk through the antlers archway. The view into the airport is one of the most amazing views I've ever experienced...the Grand Tetons! I hear sitting on the right side of the plane will allow you to view its majesty. There's 2 baggage claim machines, so you can't really get lost trying to find it. It's a small airport. Once you leave the baggage claim, you'll see ticket counters on the left, and rental car counters on the right. You pick up your keys and return them at the counter (something different for me as i'm used to leaving the car at a different drop off). Easy check in process (they may not even weigh your bag so you can get away with it being over 50 lbs), security is a breeze and they have the new whole body scan machines. I was checked in, through security and grabbed some last minute souveniers in 10 minutes! Gates are labelled by airline so easy to find. The coffee shop inside looked great, as did the cute little gift shop near the coffee shop (wish I stopped there). Overall a fun, fine airport! read more

The views outside the windows at this airport are stunning. That the #1, best thing about this airport. I generally love hanging out at airports - even small ones like this. All an airport needs for me is a bar with a TV, normal bathrooms, decent food to eat and a news store where I can get trash mags. There was NO store selling trash mags or newspapers or anything here! I have never seen that before in a U.S. airport. There was only one restaurant, so the lines got long to get food. Waiting around there got boring fast. So for those who enjoy relaxing with a trash mag on the plane, be warned - get one at a convenience store in town. And don't come hungry. read more

Being from Jackson, I recall how TINY THIS AIRPORT USED TO BE.... Literally the size of an oversized show box! It was cramped, there were ZERO food options, you couldn't buy any last minute souvenirs and I can't recall but I'm pretty sure the bathroom was an outhouse! Ha! Since the airport renovation though, I can confidently say that the Jackson Hole Airport is very nice, offers up with Jedediah's (I believe there is another restaurant in town and its know for being pretty good), along with some other ON THE GO food options (sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, tea, coffee, drinks, veggies, hummus, pickles, etc) AND.... Large/spacious/sanitary bathrooms! Also... Security is a BREEZE, it doesn't really take as long as airport security warns you about when you arrive in Jackson, but I still recommend you get there at least an hour prior to your flight! If you fly through security (good for you for abiding by all the rules correctly), don't worry, there is lots of comfortable seating, souvenir shops to browse, and as I said, food to eat! We arrived Monday the 23rd of December. We didn't noticed anything except the beautiful Teton's. What a site. We had a great Christmas in Jackson Hole. Any ware we ate, we had a wonderful meal. The food was excellent until we got back to the airport. Grease pit, how can you mess up a grilled cheese sandwich. But what really was surprising was the area you ate in. What a dirt pit. Apparently they only clean the floors once a week (truly that's what it looked like) they had plenty of young people walking around but apparently the housekeepers were out skiing! For being the wealthiest county in the USA, your air port is below standards. read more

There was about 3 flights and they could barely handle themselves, delaying all of them, even though the previous planes were grounded and ready. I recommend just going to a different airport instead, even if you have to drive to Salt Lake, this airport stinks! The urinals didn't accommodate to my abnormally large penis either! This is the cutest airport, really small and easy to navigate. Easy drive outside of Jackson Hole. If you rent a car there, that's easy, too. You just park it where you picked it up and hand in the keys inside. (TIP: rent the car ahead of time for best rates.) They have a pricey little restaurant with those incredible Teton mountain views. It is a beautifully built airport. The gate area sports that same gorgeous view and cow hair couches (and normal seats as well), so you feel very comfy while waiting. I spotted a thoughtful book exchange area hiding in a corner of the store--you can take a book and donate in a box for some nonprofit group. You have to walk up and down stairs outside to get on or to disembark from the actual plane. I enjoyed a lovely display of professional photographs mounted on the wall, while waiting. The airport is modern and nicely put together. read more

Mixed Reviews. They lost my bag - it didn't even get on the plane from denver - disappointing, especially when you're there to ski. Definitely the smallest airport I've ever been to. There is one gate for each airline. Perhaps I was spoiled by the relative inexpensiveness of the town/village, but the pricing of food and sundries seemed CRAZY. I paid $.65 for a little packet of Advil in Teton Village at the base of the tram, but the same little packet cost over $3 in the airport. Also when we arrived, they had a cart set up for free mimosas... but no one was working at it. What a let down! read more
