I booked with Sensation Surgery Recovery and stayed 10 nights in a private room during my surgery recovery. The stay included lodging, transportation, meals, and 24-hour care. Other services I purchased included IV Treatment for post-surgery which helped with recovery, in-house lymphatic drainage massages as prescribed by my doctor, and additional transportation to run errands. I had a very positive experience during my stay, from the moment Saul picked me up from the airport through the very last day. The house was always clean. The kitchen was stocked with food (fresh fruits, home made natural juice, natural coconut water). Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were always served on-time and they accommodated my dietary restrictions. The ladies who cared for me, Adriana, Melisa, Stefanie, and Yude treated me like family and nurtured me until I was independent. Everyone spoke Spanish which was perfect as I am fluent. I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE HERE!!!! BEWARE!!!!! 1. Taken to…read morepre-op appointment. After I was finished I texted my driver for pickup. He advised another driver would pick up in 30min. No car description. After 45min. I texted for description. Finally picked up 1 hour later. 2. Day of surgery. My surgery was scheduled for 6:30a arrival. Caregiver at recovery home advised driver would pick me up at 5:30a. He does not show up until 6:10a. (40min late). He proceeded to tell me to call my doctor's office and tell them I would be 15min late due to heavy traffic. I was 25 min late for my surgery. 3. After surgery the recovery home advised they would get my medication delivered by their in house Pharmacy. I was out of surgery by noon. I was told by meds would be available in 2 hours. In excruciating pain for over 7 hours by the time my medication was delivered. 4. My stay was 5 days. After surgery (Day 2) I was moved to a room where the t.v. did not work. Did they care or attempt to fix it or move me to another room? Of course not. My whole stay I stared at the wall. Completely uncomfortable. Worst than prison. 5. On two occasions I had to ask for the toilet paper to be restocked in the bathroom. This was not immediately done. I had to ask several times for it to finally get stocked. No toilet paper. WTH? On one occasions the antibacterial soap was out. Why are these to kept stocked? 6. If you wanted to shower you have to wait for them and them to bring towels. Even though I showered myself. Why did I have to shower on their time? 7. The food was horrible. Same meals daily, full of sodium and unhealthy for recovery. 8. The nurses were all inattentive and acted like you were really bothering them if you asked for anything. I will say Maudia was the best there. I only had her for two days. The rest was hell. 9. Day after surgery. First Post-op appointment. I was dropped off to my appointment on time. However, I called for pick up at 11:20a. The driver said he was waiting on the other lady to finish her appointment and would pick me up. 12p rolls around I text him for status, he was still waiting. Finally at 1:10p (almost 2 hours of waiting) I was beginning to be in pain and was due for my medications. I texted the driver and advised I could just uber back as I was hurting and waited nearly two hours for a ride back to the recovery home. He said he was already otw. The man does not pull up until 1:40p. I WAS LEFT WATING FOR A RIDE FOR OVER 2 AND A HALF HOURS DAY AFTER SURGERY! 10. Last day to stay. My flight was at 11a. I wanted to leave at 9a.m. for my departure. They kicked me out at 7:30a rushing me out of there. Even though check out time is at 11a. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

When I followed up, I received inconsistent explanations. First, I was told they did not know what happened with the website, then later I was told the booking was "non-refundable." I do not believe a non-refundable policy should apply when the business is unable to provide the service purchased. e I believe the business acted unfairly and misleadingly. I'm a very picky eater, especially being from Southeast Asia, and I was nervous I wouldn't enjoy the food. I was also unsure about living with other housemates and how everything would feel. But from day one, all of my worries disappeared. The night nurses, chefs, Ms. Opal, and even the drivers were incredibly kind and welcoming. They truly treat you like family. I can honestly say I didn't want to leave by the end of my stay. The food was so delicious and flavorful -- definitely not what I expected in the best way possible! They have a routine masseuse who comes in daily, which was such a blessing during recovery. The structure and routine of the house is very clear, and I personally loved that. Everyone follows the rules, everything runs smoothly, and the staff is constantly cleaning and disinfecting. Every time someone showers, the ladies come in and sanitize the area. The entire house is spotless all the time. They monitored my medications, checked my blood pressure, and made sure everything was going well. My only responsibility was to rest and recover -- and that peace of mind meant everything. I would absolutely recommend Flawless Recovery House to anyone I care about.
