Their technician, Mr. Buckman, arrived at 4 pm. He rapidly identified the cause of the problem and got our system up and running. Was happy they have 24/7 service and responded the same day and had no issue with the $200 after hours service call. It went down hill very quickly from there. The tech advised that the unit need a new step down transformer and because it was the weekend it would be just under $500. While that got the thermostat working again, it did not solve all the issues. That exact same transformer can be purchased on line for $15. The tech became rude when questioned and responded "I don't care, I don't own the business". Really, that's what you want your front line representatives saying? read more

Had an employee misquote me for the wrong Repair on my HVAC ended up charging me 3k and the next day it broke. I then had to have a completely new one put in. The way it was worded to me they where going to absorb the extra because (I had 3k stolen) this was back in June of 2022. I was not billed until JANUARY of this year. Absolutely unprofessional. I would like to sincerely thank both Jenna at Service and their Tech Jeffrey for doing such a stand out job. My 86 year old mother's HVAC Blower Motor went on the fritz at the worst possible time. It was freezing outside. Jeffrey came the same day on service call, look at the problem and gave some couple options. I attempted to replace an old thermostat with a new one. The new one would not start the unit. After trying several troubleshooting methods I failed and called the Jacksonville heating. The technician did his diagnostic, which cost more than the quoted estimate for the service. Ultimately the issue was a faulty thermostat. To install a new one the options were to purchase a new from a hardware store for a service on another day or use their own at a fee of $200. a basic thermostat is about $50. That type of mark up makes me wonder what else and how much is being marked up. I recommend getting 3 estimates, if you have an emergency maybe try a different company. read more

Dishonest company. Do not let them on your property. They misrepresented themselves to my 83 year old mother as the company that serviced her heating and air conditioner. They were not. The rep came to "winterize" the central heating and air conditioner. The rep released some of the coolant (into the house!) to release the pressure. And convinced my Elderly mother that the dark dust around the filter was a caustic growth and she needed an electrostatic filter ASAP. They charged her the $199 bucks to look at her filter and over $1000 dollars for the filter that they never installed. I called them to cancel any further work and to refund the $1000 bucks. They even wanted a restocking fee on the filter that was not replaced yet. read more

Worst customer service EVER!!! We have now been without air for a month! Due to their promise to fix it. My husband had to take two different days off work for unit to be fixed. Well they didn't call or show up the first time. So he calls to find out what is up. The 1St excuse "oh the part got shipped to Morehead City and then they shipped it to Wilmington, NC " Well duh!!! we live in Jacksonville,NC and this business is in Jacksonville. Soo common sense tells you? Ship the part to Jacksonville. So then we are told Oh we will be out on next Wednesday to put the part in. OH NO!! CANT DO THAT!! BECAUSE NOW THEY HAVE ORDER THE WRONG PART!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS???? And the part is in Raleigh!! SO now by this time we are into week 4 !! Yes a month of dealing with dumb people. And they promised to be here today! Saturday to fix our air unit by 9:00 am. Well still no call. So my husband calls the Tech. To be told that he cant come today cause he is the only one on call !!! After hurricane Florence our heat pump quit due to power surge when it came back on. We were without it for a few days and called them. Daniel came over and the heat pump was showing many error codes. He reported a needed part,then Wesley came out and went through the system while on the phone with headquarters and was given the go ahead for another part. Dean ordered the part and told me that he was expecting it soon and that he would send Wesley with it. The part was here in less than 12 hours and we were back on cool!! Now we are happy cool people! The heating unit at our house has run perfectly for 15 years. Until Jacksonville Heating got to it. In their annual inpection 9 months ago, they said the capicitor had to be replaced for a cost of $134. Nine months later for the next annual inspection, the same part had to be replaced. They said they would only charge me labor since the part failed so quickly and therefore would only charge me $101. WTF? What kind of company doesn't stand behind the parts they use? The icing on this cake was that it only took the technician 5 minutes to install it. So for $101, that equates to an hourly rate of $1,212. Outrageous. Seems like a scam all around. Dishonorable Company - Do Not let these people on your property. We used this company to fix a problem with our HVAC unit not turning off and not turning on. On arrival I explained problem completely and the technician replaced a part. A month later we received the electricity bill and we were astounded. It was about 200% what it usually was. After a few days we realized that the unit wasn't turning off, and called them back out. This time they fixed the actual problem and charged us again. Someone mentioned "nickel and dimed", and that's exactly what they did to us. Due to their negligence we are now responsible for an extra $300 worth of electricity charges and they would not help us, due to lack of explaining the problem well, they claim. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I fix computers for a living and rely on people describing their problems to fix computer. I used this knowledge to explain our problem ,and did so with great detail; The technician just did not do a good job. read more

I only went through this business because they installed the unit when my home was built last year. They didn't show up for appointments and they nickel and dime you like crazy. They cashed a check from me and then sent me a bill a couple weeks later saying I never paid it. I have proof I did.
