We noticed a leak in our upstairs unit. We called over 10 other businesses, but either no one answered or they had no availability until the following week. I decided to give Humphrey a call despite the reviews, and I am beyond impressed! When I called to inquire about service, the techs arrived in less than 20 minutes at my door. The customer service agent was kind, clear, and helpful. The techs were mindful of our home as it was pouring rain outside, and they wanted to ensure they didn't track all the extra water and dirt from outside. Which was greatly appreciated and just an additional plus to their service! They troubleshooted everything, found the issue, and addressed it immediately. They explained everything they were doing and took pictures and videos, which are all documented in our home's file with their company for reference at a later date. The issue was resolved, and we appreciated their quick response to our urgent need. We will be using them again and will recommend them to friends and family. read more

I started their program to come out twice a year to service my ac. Today was the first day. I can't complain about the price. It's cheaper than many I called. The tech named Jimmy came out. He did more than I've seen anyone do. He also took his time, was informative, and friendly. Jimmy was also very organized which you don't see much anymore. I do not recommend this business. I initially used them to do an HVAC inspection for a house I was purchasing. The inspector claimed there were no issues with the system. In particular he claimed to have "inspected the primary and emergency drain pans for cracks or ware marks. None were present." However, when I inspected the air handler there was a large split in the primary drain pan right where the drain pipe exits. Very obvious to anyone who actually inspected it, which this fella obviously didn't. Prior to the AC inspector from Humphrey, a home inspector had noted there was a lot of water in the emergency drain pan, which only happens if there's an issue. This was because the water was running out the large split instead of the condensate drain. Again, this was not noted by the Humphrey inspector. The inspection report also claimed the "Indoor coil is clean". Which is wasn't. It's probably the dirtiest coil I've ever seen and would definitely reduce the efficiency of the unit. So I paid $136 for this fella to come out and not actually do anything. But this is normal for shady HVAC companies. Why identify all the issues now when they can fleece you for money again and again later down the road when you have issues? They rely on a customer's ignorance and the fact that most never enter their attic. And wouldn't know what they're looking at even if they did. I will no longer use Humphrey for any HVAC needs and will also caution anyone I know against using them. read more

I cannot recommend Humphrey's enough! We have been having issues with our upstairs AC unit since we moved into our home 5 years ago. We used a different company these past 5 years and without fail every year we had an issue. A neighbor recommended Humphrey's so we called and they gave us a next day appointment. The technician, Ryan, was so professional and knowledgeable! He knew exactly what the issue was as soon as my husband told him what was going on. Had my air ducts cleaned by Jessica and Channing today. They did a wonderful job and cleaned up after themselves. They showed me before and after pictures of all 13 ducts and explained the process thoroughly. Very professional and hard working young ladies! A tree fell on my house and sump pump and I called this company to come check it out as I thought it was a plumping issue. They were very fast with making an appointment and getting out to our location. It ended up being an issue an electrician has to fix so they could not help with that BUT they did take the extra time to make sure our pump had a bag on it to protect from the rain and were very kind and helpful! I will for sure be using them again in the future for our HVAC and plumping needs! read more

These people saved my life! Ok that may be a little melodramatic for a heating and AC review but they did fix our air conditioning which in turn probably saved someone else's life! Seriously though, I had to make a weekend emergency call and they were quick to respond when the heat level in my house mirrored that of the outside temperature yesterday. 90 degrees in the hizzy is not a good feeling. They came out first thing in the morning and replaced our capacitor and all is right with the world. Our tech even gave us a few tips and tricks for future maintenance. I will use these guys for all of my heating and AC maintenance and I will definitely refer them to anyone I come across who may need their services. Our technician Christopher was kind, patient, professional and had a great sense of humor which made the best of an otherwise uncomfortable situation. We've been using Humphrey ever since we moved into this house five years ago and we've only had one small problem (one time they were running behind on scheduled service calls and failed to call us to tell us, so we only found out when WE called). Otherwise, everything has been peachy. They show up when they say they're going to (well, minus that one time), they are nice, they haven't tried to gouge us on anything, and when something out of the ordinary happens, they take care of it (we had a major service issue the day after we had an all-clear checkup, and they didn't charge us a second service fee). We would definitely recommend them. read more

I would not recommend Humphreys Heating & Air Conditioning to anyone. I purchased a unit from them and 3 years later the outside coil and crate rusted and was falling apart. They were notified and said the unit's performance was working fine. Slightly over a year later we were unable to get the unit to cool adequately and both they, and Carrier, refused to do anything about it! The unit was for a 2nd row home from the ocean and the company never recommended purchasing a "coastal unit" as Carrier said I should have purchased and therefore would not warranty it. Yet neither one stood behind the unit so I have had to replace the conducing unit only after 5 years of service. Obviously I used another company to do that. read more

The person I talked to when I called seemed great and understanding to situation and said he'd have some one contact me to come out and repair first thing the following morning. No call . No show.
