The feeling I get as i walked between the gravestones, was one of warmth and comfort. It felt like I was not alone, and even though I knew none of the people buried here, I still felt some kind of love with me. The grounds are very clean and litter free. Lots of critters occupy the area, mostly dragonflies and butterflies, that have no problem flying up and making your aquaintince. Each gravestone is very unique and different. No two were ever alike, and they ranged from the extremely detailed, to very simple yet still beautiful. A lot of the gravestones are dated during the 1800's,so there is a lot of history told here. In the middle of the cemetery is a monument dedicated to veterans of all wars, with flags waving high above it. Any pictures that I have taken of actual gravestones were taken from behind to respectively keep the names on them secret. To end my review I would love to recite a quote I read from one of the gravestones, one we can all learn from. "We shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that we can do, or any kindness that we can show to any human being, let us do it now. Let us not defer or neglect, for we shall not pass this way again."

They made no effort to up-sell or apply any pressure. We had a local memorial service and one 300 miles away. They transported my mom, and flowers to both events, and to the grave site service, supported the services in person, and saved us both money and effort by eliminating the need to deal with two funeral homes. My family member passed away and an autopsy had to be performed. Conger-Morris would not let me see my family member after the autopsy. They refused. They felt it was their privilege to determine whether I could "handle" seeing my family member post-autopsy and prior to cremation. I could only see him if I paid for "rather expensive" reconstruction surgery, even though, I re-emphasize, my family member was scheduled for cremation and reconstruction was not necessary. It struck me as extremely extortionate. So I passed on the reconstruction Conger-Morris tried to shove down my throat and never got my chance to say good-bye. I think it is just horrible to prey on people who have suffered loss, when burial or cremation costs are already so expensive. We were absolutely shocked and disgusted to find out from a family friend that Conger-Morris had shared details regarding my family member and conversations my family had had with the funeral home regarding my family member with people other than my family. That it had become fodder for gossip. Thoroughly tacky and unprofessional. Avoid.

Problems with his headstone and the list goes on. Suddenly after a decade of having a rule of no artificial flowers now it's being in-forced without giving any families the proper Notice. Not only Flowers have been removed any item along side has been removed. They claim it has to do with the grass and irrigation system. (I EXPECT TO SEE GREEN GRASS THIS SUMMER) the last I recall it's dead ever summer due to the poor irrigation system they have. Siskiyou has shown not to have dignity or respect towards our cultural value. My family will no longer be seeking further services and as soon as I'm able my father will be moved to a place that shows respect and values our believes and culture.
