We LOVE Jacob's, and go every fall! Usually, we go multiple times each fall. The staff are always super nice, and the food and drinks are so flavorful. The apple cider and the apple cider donuts are amazing. I love all their fresh vegetables, and we always get pumpkins to decorate our porch! This year I got some mums as well. Jacob's is a fun family oriented place to get some apples, pumpkins and burn off a lot of kid energy! The orchard and shop is out n the country side so it will take a bit to get there. Once tú are there you will find plenty of parking that is close to the shop. Even bus parking is available. Things are very organized and in good repair. Inside the shop you will find a variety of country items. The fresh baked pumpkin donuts are delicious. Lots of apples, apple cider and other jams & candies to pick from. The outdoor play ground is wide open and ready for fun. Kids get introduced to some farm items to play on that you won't get at school. The area is wide open so kids can run from thing to thing. There isn't much seating for adults that get tired out or for long stays! Most things are in moderately good repair. read more

What a nice little place! My fiancé and I decided to go to Jacob's as we are not familiar with the Indy area and was wanting to get some fall activities in this year. I will start by saying I have never been to a pumpkin patch, orchard or farm like this so I'm not an expert. This place would be great for a family and probably much more worth the drive if we had children. I tried to gather a little bit of information though as information is not well posted on site. When you get there, there is a food truck(days and hours depend. We went during the fall break hours). I had to get a large slushie which was $4 and well worth it. There is also a large fenced playground area for children to play. You must check in. I'm not sure what all this includes, however, maybe it cost to get in?? After, we made our way into the store. It was very nice! There was a free warm donut and you could pick up a bundle of them ready to go. Apples were bagged up in different amounts and very nice priced. We got golden delicious and jonagold. I've already tried the jonagold and they were amazing. Will be back next year just to buy more apples. They did have a lot of other things to buy: honey, jams, popcorn, seasonings, etc. I grab some tomatoes as well for a great price. Once outside, pumpkins are lined up in rows. Pricing is posted on one main sign behind the check out area. Signs posted say you can't walk through the woods or orchard at this point, which is confusing because there is signs through the first row of trees that make up a story(I did take pictures of this). I believe there was tractor rides but no signage I seen said where they go or where to get on. Like I said, on site, there's not a great amount of information. The only animals I seen was 2 goats that had no interest in being bothered. I'm sticking to 4 stars. I believe Jacob's orchard could do a lot better, however, everything was priced great and it was a cute little fall activity. read more

Oh my gosh.... the hot off the press donuts!!! You get to try one free donut and then we bought a dozen to take with us. The kids maze was so fun for nephews. My sister and I loved the sunflower maze. There was a hayride, mums, pumpkins, apples, it was so wonderful. I preferred the peach slush. Fun afternoon for solo time or family. We love Jacobs! We always have family fun picking out our pumpkins every year. This year they have expanded some fun areas for the kids. We never leave without getting some apple cider, donuts, and cider slushies. This year we decided to get the peach crisp, we will not be getting that again. It was $25 and took two hours to not be a watery mess. The flavor was not great either. So maybe skip that. Other than that it's always a good time at Jacob's! read more

Local love coming here every year for the sunflower maze, the BEST apple cider donuts, and apple cider slushes. I was so happy to see so many apples for sale after a rough season last year due to a late frost. My absolute favorite thing to do is pick out my own pumpkins to decorate my porch with every year. They always last for months. I do recommend coming early in the day and early in the season for the best selection. I went at 9 am on a Saturday, and there were only a few people around. The park lots can fill up quickly though. Make sure you get your free donut sample inside the store! If your not feeling a slush they sell hot cider as well. read more

We frequent Jacobs for their fresh donuts. They are amazing! Visitors get a free donut when they visit. Warning: you'll leave buying a dozen or two if you eat the free donut. LOL. $8 for a dozen. On the weekends they serve unique ice cream treats like pumpkin flavors, coffee milkshakes, and donut crumble ice cream stuff - but weekends only. They usually post their specials on their Facebook page. Apple cider slushies are always available. Their market has fresh produce and apple cider available. In the Fall pumpkins are available. A sunflower trail and apple picking, as well as a kid's play area for an admission fee. read more

You can pick from various types and sizes of pumpkins, get hot cider or a cider slush or, and eat some amazing apple cider donuts while you watch the younger members of your party play on the playground. There's a small shop with an old timey general store feel full of preserves and jams, apples, peppers (5 for $1.00!), baked goods, and cider. There's also a hayride and a sunflower field. This small orchard has a ton of stuff to do, all of it very affordable. read more

This should be a family tradition for everyone in or near Henry County. The apple cider slushy, the warm donuts. The selection of other goodies makes it so much more than just an apple orchard. Horrible experience. I've never been treated so poorly by an employee. First, they had maybe 4 types of apples and they were all the same style. My wife and I pick up an EMPTY BAG and proceed to fill it with some of each kind. As we are about to pay, an employee (I presume the owner) stops us and berates my wife about how they don't mix apples. There's, no signage that says that and again they have EMPTY BAGS sitting out. After I apologize she continued to be irate with my wife and I. At this point I've had enough and we leave. It was our first time there and had no idea you couldn't mix apples at an apple orchard. I do not recommend this place to anyone as I do not wish this experience to happen to any other person or family. We went to a Meijer after and they had a much better selection and price (and I didn't even have to get yelled at!) Save your time and money and go anywhere else. read more

It was extremely small for the population it contained, there wasn't much space to move around. After just visiting Smith's Family Farm a few weeks ago I was very disappointed with Jacob's. On the tractor ride "hay ride" there was no hay and the driver was texting and driving...which I believe is why the tractor made a HUGE jerking motion and threw my 2 year old half way across the bed...there was also another small baby that was thankful restrained due to them being small or it could have ended a lot worse. I will never be back to Jacob's, because when confronting the young man about texting and driving he just said "Oh sorry". read more

Warm apple doughnuts. These will be my downfall. I generally don't eat a lot of sweets, or doughnuts for that matter, but these treats are so delicious, I crave them when the air turns crisp. They're made on site w/ their own cider & then dredged in cinnamon sugar. You get a free one just for showing up, & if you want to remain addiction free, don't take that doughnut. The first one's always free. Don't they teach you that on bad after school specials? Anyway- it's about $6 for a dozen of fresh, local, warm doughnuts & it's $6 well spent. They sell them in half dozens as well, along with their own apples, various produce, & cider. You can also pick up a cup of cider slushie to go with that doughnut, Dillman Farms brand jams, apple butters, honey, etc. They have a corn maze on site, pumpkins, gourds, & a large hay bale pyramid for climbing & photo ops. Not a fun day! One lane road going in/out. 10-15 cars trying to get in and 10-15 cars trying to get out. Men yelling at each other, kids crying. When we do get up there there was no pumpkin patch but you could take a tractor wagon ride that went around the Apple trees. So we couldn't pick a pumpkin...or apples. And the staff was a bit cranky. Don't recommend for a fun time unless you want to $4 to jump on hay bales. read more
