I paid $150 for their transportation service and also paid out of pocket for all of my prep supplies. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that the office had given me the wrong colonoscopy prep instructions, which meant my colonoscopy had to be canceled and rescheduled. Since I was already there, in a gown with an iv, they proceeded with the endoscopy. After that. I didn't hear from the office for an entire week. Thev finally called to reschedule the colonoscopy. I returned the call and left a message asking to discuss reimbursement for the transportation and prep expenses I would now have to pay again because of their mistake. No one ever called me back. What's especially frustrating is that the office called and messaged me repeatedly before my procedure to make sure I confirmed my appointment. But when it came time to take responsibility for their error and address my concerns, they went completely silent. It's now been over a month since my procedure. I still have zero biopsy results and nobody will return any of my calls regarding anything. I had to stop taking the medication prescribed to me because the side effects were bad. I called the office to find out what to do about the medication. Never heard back from them. I continue to get sicker with zero answers. I'm hiring a lawyer tomorrow. I would never recommend this practice to anyone.

I moved 40 minutes away and I need my records sent to someone closer and they won't return my calls. I filled the info out in person for them to do it but they aren't sure when it will be done. lol. So i guess I'll be contacting my insurance company and let them know they're holding my medical records from me. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

June 30, 2023 - Friday…read more Review #436 I was referred by My family physician Dr. Kavanaugh to have several Ex-Rays completed at this Henry Ford Medical Center on 4-19-2023. This Henry Ford Medical Center offers many health services, procedures and testing based on providers and appointments available. The environment was comforting and welcoming when I saw the receptionist to check in. After waiting 5 minutes in lobby I was then escorted to Imaging Department and known as Ex-Ray. I've attached Photos of the Imaging areas and how my appointment went about which was at 4pm. The technician Jeff was kind and explained the steps and time frame for the many ex-rays that my doctor requested. He was knowledgeable too when it came to positioning my hands and fingers correctly on the glass for the proper Ex-rays. No paper referral was needed since she sent the forms by email to this department at my convenience too. This facility is clean and offers masks after entering the automatic doors for germ protection of for those who have not been vaccinated for COVID. Request an appointment with any of the providers listed on the sign upon entering. A Patient can reserve a spot in line as well for Walk-In Lab Services. Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday and Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Closed Saturday and Sunday Address 14500 Hall Rd. Sterling Heights, MI. 48313 Phone: (586) 247-2700 So my total time walking in, waiting my turn to when I was finished with my Ex-Rays was a satisfactory and pleasant 30 minutes. My test results were emailed and available to view through the "My Chart" App connected to my medical file and doctor with Henry Ford Health. I recommend this facility for the many health services that it offers including Blood Testing Lab, Imaging, Radiology and there's a Pharmacy inside too. Karen N. SpecialK

On January 29th, my mother had an endoscopy with Dr. Anthony Williams at Henry Ford Medical Center…read morein Brownstown, Michigan. When my mother walked in, the nurses told her, "Oh, you're lucky, this is the first time the doctor has performed an endoscopy at this location." My mother was not lucky enough, apparently. Although my mother was on-time, the procedure started 54 minutes after the scheduled time. After the surgery, both my mother and my sister (who was in the waiting room) described Dr. Williams' responses as desultory and hurried, in fact, once Dr. Williams briefly spoke to my sister, he shook her hand, said goodbye to two colleagues, and immediately exited the clinic. Before that, when my sister tried to ask him a follow-up question, he told her "I've already told your mother that," even though mother was coming out of anesthesia. My mother knew something was off, took two Tylenol, and hoped a good night's rest would help her. This did not happen. When she woke up, she was in even more pain than before, she could not swallow, speak, or eat without pain. She took a picture of her mouth, and it was unrecognizable, her uvula was swollen, red, and had discoloration at the tip. She called Dr. Williams' office who told her to go immediately to the emergency room because it could close her airways. My mother immediately drove herself to the emergency room at Henry Ford Medical Center in Brownstown, Michigan; one of the doctors glanced at the photo taken and immediately knew that she had uvular necrosis. The doctor who saw her believes that, under Dr. Williams' care, the endoscope pushed her uvula against the palate for the entire duration of the surgery. Uvular necrosis is an exceedingly rare complication of an endoscopy. If you look at the first picture, you can see that has a shiny, translucent appearance indicative of uvular necrosis. Right now, the tip is turning white and part of my mother's uvula will permanently slough off - and, once this happens, I will update this review to include that picture. I don't question Dr. Williams' qualifications - obviously he is - but it is clear to me that he rushed through the procedure and provided my mother substandard care for what should be a basic, routine procedure. Dr. Williams' notes for the procedure were inadequate and desultory, he provides the time when the operation started, but the area of the notes that indicate "Scope In" and "Scope Out" are suspiciously blank confirms my belief that Dr. Williams was rushing, and this leaves our family left to wonder exactly how long the scope obstructed blood flow to my mother's uvula. The doctors at Henry Ford Medical Center refused (and still refuse) to give her any pain medication despite her being miserable. While I try give my brothers and sisters a lot of leeway, I cannot do so here, especially when he has over 20 years of experience under his belt. This is a complication that should not have happened. The fact that he hasn't personally reached out to my mother regarding this issue showcases, at best, his lack of curiosity about the outcome of his patients and, at worse, his inhumanity. I sincerely believe that Dr. Anthony Williams represents a clear and present danger to the public and I beg the reader to please avoid this man at all costs if they care about their loved one.
