Stopped in this past Friday, April 29, 2022 to check out the gym, take a class, and pick up meals over at Balance Body Foods. The gym was clean, offering a snack bar , coffee bar and gym attire appreal for purchase. This was my first time in a gym, in a very long time, since way before COVID 19 and wasnt sure what to really except when taken a class. My class choice was the 9 - 9: 50 am with Brandy for HITT Strength . The class consisted of 8 stations that were demonstrated prior to starting, which made me the beginner feel at ease, and comfortable. The music playlist was a perfect blend to get your seasoned veterans, as well as unseasoned like myself motivated to work and getting those muscles moving. If your looking for an instructor with a flavor and colorful personality give Brandy and her class a try. The lock rooms were clean, spacious and it was nice to see wipes for equipment and santizer. The smoothies helped replenish protein, after a workout, wide selection, may have been a bit pricey, but well worth it for the quality. So I came in here to tour the facility as I am in search of a gym to add on to the other place I go. Gianna was the sales rep who helped me out and she was very lovely and gave a great tour and answered all of my questions. Although I have a decided to join a different gym based on what personally appealed to me and met my needs, this was a very nice gym and definitely suitable for those who take exercise/nutrition very seriously! I'll tell you about the gym based on my tour here and looking around. In the front of the gym as you walk in, you will see the front desk, a shake/smoothie bar, tons of clothes from athletic apparel to baby clothes, food options ... even proportioned meals in the fridge ready to go for those tracking macros and such, and vitamins/supplements. I think it's a great all-in-one shop for those serious about meeting their fitness and nutrition goals. Locker rooms were nice and equipped with showers and a sauna. The downstairs fitness area was pretty intense .. too intense for me, but anything you could think of to bulk up those muscles is here and they even have chalk. I was also informed that when it's nice you are welcome to take equipment to workout outside. The exercise equipment was also colored red and black which was also too intense for me ... I'm pretty low key (and aesthetically-pleasing for me is important) and I get a hard workout at the boxing studio so I was looking for a gym that had a more mellow area ... now upstairs WAS more mellow. It had more of the traditional equipment I was used to and less people where as downstairs felt more intense. There was some cool equipment in another room upstairs, but I was informed that room was for private and group training. But it had softer floors and machines to reduce impact on the knees. There was also a studio for classes and a spinning room. Also a masseuse on site who is also a trainer. Overall, it is a nice gym, and I think it's great for those really serious and dedicated to meeting their goals. I also know 2 trainers there from my other gym and a former trainer from a different gym (he now owns his own facility) so I can confirm they DO hire QUALITY TRAINERS because I have worked out under their instruction at 2 different places and they all pushed me to the max but were also personable outside of exercising. Like I said, I was looking for a gym that had some more low key areas because this will be something secondary to my regular place and rollerblading that I do in the nice weather, but if you're serious about getting strong (or whatever your goals ... they will go over them with you and pair you with the right person!) and also like the luxury of on-site meals, shakes, etc this is definitely the place to be! read more

Love it here! Something for everyone. Excellent facility and well designed. Great shake bar. Also has coffee bar and supplement shop. High end gym attire line available in their shop as well. Meal prep service available. Very friendly front end staff. Always greeting you upon arrival. Several service lines available, including message, nutrition counseling and personal training. I tend to bore easy and this gym helps me to stay entertained/on track--tons to choose from. Excellent free weights, machines and classes. Numerous rooms--powerlifting, HIIT, large general class room and spinning room. Technology aspect of gym is great, Mywellness for class reservations. A little personal trainer heavy for my liking but I think this is more reflective of a successful business model. Peak gym douche hours (if you don't know what that means, you are probably the gym douche bag) is between 3-5 PM. Avoiding that time period leads to an excellent gym experience for me. Age span between early college students to in shape 50-60's, Don't have to worry about the naked 80 year old flopping his balls on the locker room gym bench here. Gym patrons are generally respectful and kind. Very clean. Disinfected frequently. Administrative staff is very responsive to any issues or concerns. I've been here twice so far, yesterday was the first time i went to do my own workout, before that i was here for a Wine Down Wednesday class/event. The Wine Down Wednesdays are a blast, I wanted to die after the workout because at that point in time i had not been working out much. You go in, do a class and bring a bottle of wine to drink after and socialize with other people who were in the class along with other trainers. it's a nice way to meet new people and possibly consider the idea of coming to this gym on a regular basis. Yesterday i met my friend who comes here to workout and train. I kinda just wanted to see what the space was like and how my workout could fit in here. As i walked in i felt it was a but bust for my liking since it is such a small space compared to my usual gym. My boyfriend also came and did his workout here and said he thought the places was just "okay" i think it was just a bit small for his liking, but again, we are used to a much larger gym. The girls at the front desk were super nice, the one girl even gave us a little tour before we started our workout. When my friend got there she noted how busy it was, i guess its not typically that busy so that is something i will find out when i got back today. I met one of the girls who trains my friend, like i said everyone who was there seemed friendly and welcoming as if they are one big family...something you normally don't get from those bigger gyms. This place is locally owned and operated! The location is pretty good, right next to the mall on transit. tjhey used to be in another building on transit but have moved to this new space a little over a year ago. They do offer a lot of classes, one of them were actually going on when i was finishing up my workout. They also have recently added a shake bar! The shakes are cheap compared to my usual gym, the most expensive one was about 6 bucks. I decided to try them out after my workout was complete, I got the cheesecake one and my boyfriend got the nutter butter, we both loved them! Definitely try one out, they also have a shake card that you can get, buy 10 shakes get one free! if i was near this place i would deff run in to just grab a shake since the ones at my gym are more expensive and since my other shake place closes at 7 this is a good alternative when I'm on the go depending if i have to head up this way. Worst Establishment ever! They only focus on the people that are super skinny or super buff. When Covid hit nobody could use the facility and they started classes virtually approximately around May or June. I asked for a refund since I could not use the facility and they still charge me six months even though We're in the middle of a pandemic and cannot use the facility. The classes they do offer I never took anyway so why are you taking my money when I couldn't use it. Then it took almost 2 months to get a refund and they speak to people in a very condescending way. Great gym , very clean , mostly friendly staff, and a good variety of equipment for lifting. One of my favorite gyms in the area and used to enjoy coming here a lot until recently being harassed by one of the front desk employees, Anna. I got a gym membership to workout and she began being overly friendly, stopping me on my way out to carry on conversations, adding me on social media which all began to be a bit much. Unfortunately I have also walked in while she was smoking her vape multiple times and she had also relayed to me at one point that some of the employees here have a group chat where they talk about guests that they view as "creepy" or "weird" and had pointed out specifically someone I recognized from a previous gym I had went to. When I pushed back against her attempts she became angry and spiteful, talking negatively to me towards my friends at the gym and creating drama and generally creating a place that's uncomfortable to come and work out at. It appears she makes this attempt rather than doing her job with all male members of the gym based on what my friends have said and I have seen. Was very unprofessional and was disappointed to learn that the employees talk behind the guests back without even knowing them. read more

It takes me a lot to write a review, either something has to be very good or very bad. Anyway, the new Jada Blitz is very good !! I came from BAC women's club on Evans (which I loved and hated at the same time ) and I did short stints at LA Fitness and Golds Gym (always preferring to work out at an only women's gym). The new Jada Blitz is clean and spacious with great equipment. It isn't obscenely busy there (like the Y ) so you don't feel like you are at a germ fest . Women's locker room is impressive, bathrooms are stocked with rubber bands q tips tampons etc. Childcare is reasonably priced and it is drop in, you don't need an appointment. I've been going to personal training here for about a year and love it! I've had two trainers Phil and Mike - both have helped me meet my goals. It is very personalized and personal training keeps you motivated and on track. I have worked harder here than I ever would on my own at the gym and I have surprised myself with the weight I've lifted. They have plenty of workout classes and if you buy a pack it is pretty reasonable. I think the personal training is a little pricy but if you have small group personal training (2-4 people) they have specials of $15 per session. Rev buffalo is now also located within Jada Blitz and offer new classes. The only cons are that the gym is a little small so I don't think it's ideal for your day to day workout and without specials it can be pricy. read more

My girlfriend and I tried to cancel our membership and it took almost a week of back and forth to finally get them to cancel. The sale rep assured us that our memberships were cancelled, about 4 months later I realized I was still getting charged, but my girlfriends account was not. After calling and speaking to the manager I was told that I can not get a refund since I was never sent a cancelation form to sign and my girlfriend had signed one. This would've been acceptable to me except she was never sent a cancellation form of any kind, or any email confirming her account was cancelled. After bringing this to the attention of the manager I was met with condescending responses that hinted to the fact that I may be lying, when in reality what happened was the sales rep forged my girlfriend's signature and did not complete a cancellation form for me. This was extremely alarming to me and they continued to say she in fact was there in person and signed the document even though she was out of town the date sited on the signed form. I was hoping that given all this information they would be more than willing to refund me since this employee showed extreme incomitance and violated the policies the manager said must be followed. My girlfriend even called to confirm she never signed any form and she was met with a stonewall of saying she can't prove anything and there is nothing they can do about it. Overall this was a horrible experience and I don't recommend anyone locks themselves into a contract with this incompetent borderline law breaking gym. read more

I've been going to Jada Blitz now for a month, I see my trainer Phil twice a week and usually go 2-3 times per week for cardio. I can't say enough good things about this gym and its staff. Since the first time I walked in as a non client, everyone was so helpful and friendly. The gym itself is very clean and has a great layout. It's a small private gym so they only have a few of each of the treadmills, ellipticals, etc.. But I have never had a problem getting one, unlike some of the bigger gyms. They also offer classes that I have not been able to make it to, just because of my schedule, but I hoping to make it to one of them soon. I don't feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed like other big chain gyms had made me feel in the past. I feel very challenged with my trainer and he makes sure I understand the form and purpose of everything we do. Justin the owner is very present at the gym as well, and the little added bonus that I personally love, the owners dog Tucker visits the gym often and welcomes you with kisses! I am very happy that I have joined Jada Blitz and I actually look forward to going to the gym! read more

I have been purchasing the meals from Balanced Body by Jada Blitz for several months now. They offer prepared meals that are high protein, low calorie and inexpensive. They change up their menu frequently to keep things new and fresh, but bring back popular items as needed. Everything I've tried has been very tasty and not bland at all. I've tried other meal plan places before that were bland and boring and these are so much better. What's really great is that you get to choose what meals you get and what size, so it's not a guessing game every week. They offer home and office delivery too, which I take advantage of the office delivery. I recently joined Jada but have trained here a myriad of times in the past. It does not matter what shape you are in or what kind of shape you want to get in...JB is a place you can come in as you are, put in work, and leave better off than you walked in. I used to think that Jada was just for those who were serious about weight training, but as I've learned I couldn't have been more wrong. I knew I needed a personal trainer to get me back into the swing of things. Im not sure if this is just for new members looking to train or for all new members in general, but when the first thing I did was meet with the owner, Justin. In the meeting we discussed all aspects of my health and fitness history as well as the goals I have. Justin then paired me with the trainer he believed would be best able to help me achieve my goals. So far, Im sore, Im happy, and I feel like Im moving in the right direction. If its one thing Jada helps with, it's motivation! There are so many different types of people in the gym and they all are working hard at becoming better! The gym is not like other large gyms in the area. Its smaller, but has all the equipment you will need. Few treadmills, ellipticals, row machines, and stair masters for those wanting to do cardio. They have TRX, crossfit type bars for pull-ups or whatever acrobatic type thing those cross fitters do, ropes, chains, squat racks, deadlift platform, and i can go on and on. If you want a good workout in a great atmosphere this is where you need to be. They also have a smoothie bar for your protein shake after your workout. Recently they also started provided prepped meals, breakfast lunch and dinner. Ive had them, they are awesome!!! I have been to many gyms but never one like this. I started with the owner Justin as my personal trainer and within two months, I could clearly see a significant body transformation. He is personable, flexible, family-oriented and has an amazing work ethic. The focus on my personal goals, the motivation and the collaborative relationship was a definite help in me achieving my goals. I am now with Aubree who is so patient and encouraging. I recently started attending classes which have become a pertinent part of my weekly workout schedule (designed by Justin). I was previously a member at Jada Blitz when I found a billing error with my membership this month. When speaking with one of the owners Ashley Draper, she told me it was my responsibility as a consumer to make sure these issues didnt happen and would not initially take responsibility for billing me a membership fee for fours months despite having already paid a yearly flat fee. She was incredibly unprofessional and would not speak to me about canceling my membership or getting a refund for training sessions I had not used after I stated I no longer wanted to do business with this gym. She stated that they will refund the money I lost from being double charged a membership fee for several months but I have yet to see the refund, they are refusing to refund me for anything else. I would not recommend this gym to anyone, they do not respect their customers and don't care about fairly charging for services until you want to take your business elsewhere. read more
