Small appetizer of Bar-B-Q spare ribs for only $6.95. Five giant, delicious ribs the best from any Chinese restaurant!
    Mark V.

Generous portions of typical Chinese food at affordable prices but with the best Bar-B-Q ribs from any Chinese restaurant! I just couldn't believe the size of the five ribs that came with my small order. The cost was only $6.95 for five giant, deliciously flavored barbecue spareribs! Definitely good enough to justify a trip here. The pork dumplings were average and were very doughy. They were tasty though, and I think there were nine in my appetizer order. Again a very generous serving! I ordered the chicken and broccoli dinner. Average flavor but again a larger portion and a very fair price. I was happy that the broccoli was completely cooked and soft and not hard like many places. The chicken and garlic sauce were average but good. Recommended for Chinese food in the Freehold area. Make sure you treat yourself to an order of barbecue spareribs!

Metal wire in my food ... gross

First and last time ordering from this place. Got the house chow fun. Found a long string shard of metal in my meal. Disgraceful stay far away.

Mediocre at best. Should change their name to Golden Toilet Bao. Very disappointed. Better choices are Jade Garden or Crown Palace

I thought that was odd but okay. Since I've never frequented this establishment before, I always order the Drunken Tofu Noodle along with curry puffs to see how it is. It's my barometer for judging how they are as a Thai restaurant. The server mentioned their curry puffs contain chicken as an ingredient. I was fine with that. The server boasted that they make it in-house, so I was looking forward to it. After she placed it down and I took my first bite, I was expecting it to be crunchy as it's fried. I was met with it firstly, with it being room temperature. Taking my initial bite, I was disappointed with the lack of crispness. The stuffing inside was also very mushy, and it was supposed to be chicken curry puffs. I was, however, able to taste the curry powder, so that was good. The Drunken Noodle had American broccoli and baby corn in lieu of onions and carrots for vegetables. I was expecting the usual long flat noodles, but the flat noodles appeared to be broken into shorter pieces. At the time of my ordering, I had no idea it didn't come with the standard tofu because they kept asking if I wanted shrimp, chicken, or beef. I was surprised when they upcharged me an extra $2 for the fried tofu. My stomach was bothering me today, so I asked for it to be mild. It definitely took me by surprise as it was spicier than I planned for. It was extremely greasy; however, the taste of chili paste was evident, giving it a good flavor. After finishing up, the employee asked me a couple of times if I desired any dessert, to which both times, I indicated I was quite full, declined, thanked them, and requested the check. I could see the clear disappointment on their face. The ambiance is quite beautiful, and their food was tasty. Being seated at a booth allowed me to feel deliciously isolated and get some reading done.

My husband and I ordered an egg roll, wontons, a small broth, chicken lo mein, and the Szechuan chicken that came with rice. The egg roll was good, the wontons were very oily but still edible, the broth was good, but my chicken lo mein could use more salt. Or maybe that's a personal preference but it tasted a little bland to me. My husband liked his Szechuan meal and said he would come back. I'm iffy but would try something new if we were to return. Don't know if it's worth all of the money considering we paid $56 for all of that but I guess it depends who you ask. I've attached photos to show the amount of food you get. It's definitely a fair amount I suppose. The dining room itself was nice. It seems like a place people rather order to go because everyone who entered was picking up and not a single person sat down on the tables. But it's there if you wanted to. A random thing I wish they had were fortune cookies just because I was craving it lol but I guess not all Chinese restaurants have it.

Beef and broccoli while we prefer the broccoli more cooked the beef is always fresh and tender and the sauce is delightful. They also seem to use jasmine rice which we enjoy and it's never sticky. We forgot to order the spring rolls this time but they are always delicious too. Whenever we have been inside the place is always clean and you can see the kitchen which also looks clean so the service is always informative and friendly and the place is kind of cute inside. We were given our menus right away. And this is when our experience went downhill. No sooner had we even had a chance to look at the drink menu when the waiter came over and asked what we'd like to drink besides water. We asked for a minute to think about it. The waiter was back at our table within thirty seconds. Then he kept coming by to see what we wanted to eat. We needed a few minutes to look at the menu. Meanwhile we waited for the drinks (which we could see were waiting for us at the end of the bar). We had to request them when the waiter came to take our food order. We had the Mandarin salad, a sushi platter, and pork dumplings. The salad was mostly crispy noodles. A few pieces of mandarin oranges. The sushi was just okay, and the pork dumplings tasted like they were previously cooked and frozen hen reheated. As one of our party was finished eating and the other in our group was still eating, the waiter came over and handed us the dessert menu. Then one minute later asked what we'd like for dessert. When we finished eating, the check was slammed down on the table and the waiter rushed off. We did speak to the manager about it, he apologized but said upper management wants them to move the patrons along. All told we were only there for less than an hour. And we did have dessert, which was a dollar coin-sized portion of key lime pie. We know this is a chain restaurant but this was a very poor experience.

One of the first times I went there with my vegan and gluten-free preferences, the waitress went through every item on the menu that seemed good for me, and she checked with the kitchen for any fish sauce or hidden gluten. Another time, they gave me an abundance of gluten-free soy sauce packages so I had enough to use without asking. Another time, they accommodated my large group of 13 people last minute, and then added tables when five more showed up very last minute. Recently, I was there this past Saturday, and we had a table of 15. I ordered the only item that is both vegan and gluten-free, the Buddha's Feast. I asked for steamed veggies with no mushrooms and steamed tofu (usually the tofu is fried). It came out sautéed and had mushrooms. The manager made sure the veggies were steamed again with no mushrooms, and the tofu was also steamed. They also took the item off the check. This is why I say, even though they mess up, they try to make it right.
