Omg Jael is so incredibly talented it's not even funny! He cut and styled my hair sooo beautifully! I have quite thick, curly ish hair so when I've gone to salons in the past it's taken a couple hours and I've only ever gotten 1 cut that I've ever liked, but with Jael his cut and styling took less than an hour and I'm obsessed with the cut! Also the Lionel Renard salon is very beautiful and everyone there is so nice, the vibes are amazing 10/10 am definitely coming back! read more

I got an organic Keratin treatment from Rebeca last Sunday and I LOVE it. My frizzy out of control mane is now tamed and so beautiful and easy to manage. I no longer need to blow dry and then use a flat iron to straighten and wave. I have soft, smooth and lovely waves now from just air drying. Rebeca is lovely and the shop was comfortable. read more

Absolutely awful experience. I came in asking for a simple touch-up--nothing drastic--but they completely changed my hair without asking. It looked nothing like what I wanted or had before. I called to come back in and get it fixed, but on my way there, there was a car accident (because, you know, LA traffic). I called multiple times to let them know I'd be late, but no one ever answers the phone. When I finally got in touch, instead of understanding the situation or taking accountability for messing up my hair in the first place, I was told I'd be charged a cancellation fee--for the appointment that was supposed to fix their mistake. To make it worse, the stylist had the nerve to imply I couldn't afford the service, basically calling me "broke" in the most unprofessional, harassing way. He then said he would refund me and hasn't. He will steal your money and tip. I paid for a service I didn't receive, got treated with zero respect, and then insulted on top of it. Save your money, your time, and your dignity--go literally anywhere else. read more

Love my hair!! I got the cut, conditioning, haircut and partial highlights/ombré Groupon and paid $65 extra for toner to help make it more ashy blonde. Love the final result. This review is so long overdue! I got a Groupon back in June for a haircut and balayage/ombre. I went in and Jael took care of me. He recommended adding some more products which ended up costing extra but the final product was worth it! I have two important points to make: (i) His technique! What a difference compared to my previous hairdresser... To make the coloring more natural-looking, he carefully separated some tiny locks of hair and applied the color to the remaining ones. I thought it was going to take double the time but that was not the case. In 2h I was in and out. Incredible! (In the past it had sometimes taken over 3h). (ii) His advice: I wanted it to be natural-looking but still be noticeable that I had gotten something done! He suggested going a bit subtle and I am SO happy I trusted him! I got so many compliments! Also, by applying purple shampoo (also his advice. By the way -- it DOES make a difference) the color has been maintained very well. Jael was also very nice and really seemed to care I was satisfied. First time I am 100% satisfied with a hair dresser in LA (and without breaking the bank!). I just got my hair done at Jael's yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the results! I got haircut, highlights and ashy toner. He truly listens to what you want and suggests his creative input, which I am glad I listened to. You can tell that he has years of experience. He is confident in his work, yet humble enough to respect your wishes. He was also so pleasant to speak to while he was working his magic on my hair. Found this salon through Groupon and am so glad that I did! Had such a great experience and absolutely love my new hair. I got a partial balayage and cut plus the olaplex treatment (because my hair was super damaged). He is a pro and so enjoyable to talk to. The Groupon covered part of it but I ended up paying an additional $135 for the treatment/ change in balayage style, which I think was worth it in the end. I will definitely be back! read more

I had an appointment scheduled for over a month at 10 am. No one ever confirmed. I was getting ready to leave the house at 9 AM when I got a phone call from Rebecca stating that I was supposed to be there right now she had accidentally booked me at 9 AM. I told her I would never do that because I would have to be on the freeway in traffic during the busiest time of day. Our appointment was at 10 AM. I asked her how she was going to fix it. She continued to explain that the way she would fix it what she got up early and was there at 9 AM. read more

LOVE Jael!!! He is a true artist. I am VERY picky and protective with my hair, I don't trust many with coloring it. I don't think I need to explain much as to why I love him, the pictures speak for themselves! I have naturally dark brown hair and he lifts it perfectly to achieve the vibrant red I've always craved. I get sooo many compliments on my hair. It's such an amazing feeling to walk out of the salon feeling like a new person and Jael always has made sure of that. The salon is clean and there is parking in the back. Jael and Rebecca are both very professional and I always have great conversation with them. If I ever have any issues, Jael is sure to do anything he can to make sure I am happy. read more

The absolute best colorist and hair cut guy. He does my girl and it's always flawless. Before she would come home and I'd have to say it was horrible. Not anymore! The color is perfect and I mean spot on. The cut is so good it last for months. Also it doesn't take all day which is a plus since we're both busy people. Yes on this one!!! Also he offers his own shampoo/hair line which is reasonable priced and smells amazing. read more

Big, big, BIG waste of my time. I purchased a groupon and made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. When I came into the salon I was 15 MINUTES early and when Jael finally looked at my hair he said the Groupon was only for partial highlights and not what the Groupon had indicated - ombre, Balayage or highlights. He claimed that he knew what was on the Groupon. Apparently not! He told me I can contact groupon and get a refund. Um... sound familiar? He seems to do this to several Groupon clients. Jael, If you don't want us patronizing your salon, then don't offer Groupons and then try to bait and switch. When I called and booked my appointment, why didn't they disclose that they charge $65 extra to tone my hair. I've never heard of this before in the 30 years I've been getting my hair dyed. EVER!!! Really, my time and money was wasted. SUCKS! read more

Jael is incredible!! His expertise and quality care is evident in the way he works. I have never been able to get quite the right shade when I get highlights, and he was able to give me the color of my dreams. He knows what he is doing and works quickly, so you won't be in the chair all day long. I highly recommend going to him with any of your hair needs- I would trust him with anything! If I could give 100 Stars I would because of the outstanding service, the absolutely gorgeous results and the incredible kindness of Jael is unsurpassed! My hair had grown nearly down to my waist (!!) and the last time it had been cut and colored was well over almost a year and a half ago - with just one look at my hair, Jael correctly guessed it had been precisely a year and a half since I had seen a hairdresser! Magician? Wizard? He is all these things and more because the magic he worked on my hair was so absolutely beautiful, I almost started to cry,when I saw the finished results! I have struggled with severe medical problems for the last five years which significantly changed many things in my life. The medication I have to take daily, has caused me to gain 50 pounds of weight that my small (but tall lol) frame has caused many difficulties and significant pain in my body, and joints , and has also destroyed my confidence especially. Jael is incredibly kind and caring, and is so amazingly talented at what he does! My hair was cut perfectly without me even having to explain exactly what i wanted, he just " knew " and the highlights he did on my hair ( which was naturally dark brown but had been dyed almost black for over ten years now) came out beyond perfect! With all these obstacles , he truly showed his talent as the end result is so beautiful I can't stop looking at the beautiful highlights that were perfectly done to frame my face and added just enough lightness (and NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER!!) that I truly feel like a new person. Most importantly, Jael's talent is exceptional and his dedication to making YOU feel like the most beautiful person , is something that you cannot put a price on. I came in with a groupon, but it was all good. Jael did an amazing job and talked to me while he was doing my hair which is nice! You do have to pay an extra $65 for the toner but he makes your hair look amazing so it's all worth it. I had terrible bangs before but he cut my hair so well and made it all blend out so it looks really good now! I seriously almost cried when he was done, my hair looked amazing and I looked like hermione granger lol. He "works fast and works messy" according to him but he did great! 10/10 will return read more

The stylist took care of me very well. I'm uploading a photo to show how smooth the gradient came out. I brought them a picture of the hair cut I wanted and they honestly explained me why it won't look as shown BUT I loved the end result anyways. I waited to write the review because I was worried that once I wash my hair at home I'll discover how damaging color processing was, against my expectations it didn't happen! I found Jael by chance and I'm so happy I did. This is my third visit so I took my time to write this review and happy to say this is my regular salon now. I get balayage with toner every 4 months and love my color plus I'm in and out in 2 hours with my thick long hair. The keratine treatment I got was also the best ever! If I could give more stars I would!! I have been to more salons than I can count and never leave fully satisfied. I am going out of town this week and desperately needed a color correction since my hair pretty much turned orange! :( It took me years to get blonde and when I did, it turned brassy :( I always come in to see Rebecca for a keratin treatment and I refuse to go to anyone else for it since I have tried many other places before and she is hands down the BEST and the price is unbeatable. My hair is naturally frizzy/curly and when she does it my hair stays smooth for months and months! Since she did such a good job I decided to try getting my hair color fixed with her. Best decision ever, as you can see in my photo my hair looks a million times better! I finally found a one stop shop for all my hair needs :) Thanks Rebecca for saving my hair before my big trip! Came in for a partial balayage and haircut yesterday and what a great buy. Making an appointment was easy, Jael and Rebecca were really friendly and make for good conversation. This was SUCH an amazing experience. I have always struggled with finding good and reliable hairdressers. This is an overdue review, but very well meant! This was my first time using Jael's hair services. I got a balayage treatment and haircut almost a month ago. I left the salon incredibly happy!! This was the first time I've gotten balayage, and Jael did a great job explaining what worked best for my hair. It is clear he is highly experienced, and I appreciate that he doesn't try to sell you what you do not need. I don't usually leave hair salons feeling thrilled, but Jael is the exception!! Had color, cut and keratin by Jael today. Love the results. He is warm, knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. Walking in, my hair was quite a mess. He had his work cut out for him and he fixed both my ugly color and gave me a nice cut. Definitely go back to him! But...Rebecca helped him out with my hair a couple times in between his other clients rinsing my color, and applying keratin etc. She was rude, repeatedly scalded my head with too hot of water( I had to tell her 3 different times that she's burning me), applying keratin she was so rough with the comb my head was getting sore, then got the chemical solution right in my eye and by the look on her face she could give a shi*, then as my eye is red and watering, she finally hands me a towel that was visibly covered in the same chemical so I could guess wipe more chemicals in my eye? Jael came over with a clean cloth he ran under fresh water for me so I could stop the burning. He finished my hair and I was able to leave on a good note. He's great so I'm giving 5 stars. Her, not so much. I'd give her negative stars. She literally got chemicals in my eye and did zero to help me except finally give me a towel visibly covered with it from her tray she was working from after she states "well, what do you want me to do"? She was very careless and rude. read more

I've gone to Jael twice now, first for the keratin treatment and second for color. The salon is crisp and clean, with tasteful artwork. There are no harsh chemical smells inside. There is parking in the back. I absolutely loved my keratin treatment. It's been over a month now and it has held up well (I have thick long hair). I went back yesterday to get my roots done and it was so fast - in and out with a blow out included in literally one hour. Will be my new regular place! read more

Worst service EVER. Ask to get a refund or at least if they could fix it because I couldn't be more upset about the results, and they said that if I didn't pay (again) full price they wouldn't. Very easy to make money if the first time you ruin it and then you get people to you to fix it. In the middle of it the apply for a product because they say it was going to look better (it does not- I look like a zebra) and because they didn't give me the option I thought it was included- nope, extra 65 dollars. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. read more

I called as soon as I found out salons are open again and I got a appointment the next week. I was so nervous going to someone new because I hadn't dyed my hair in over a year but the reviews convinced me he knows what he is doing and I couldn't be more happy with my final results! Jael is super sweet and listened to exactly what I told him my hair goal was then he gave me a realistic feedback of what we could achieve in one session and I understood from the beginning how much it will cost and what it will look like so I'm super happy with the overall experience. Told me all the info of what I need to do to maintain my hair and told me about the products they offer at the salon but in such a nice manner so you don't feel pressured to buy their products. He knows hair and he's definitely someone I will go back too because it's really hard finding a stylist that understands your hair and what will look good on you!! After my first visit in April, I had a root touch-up and trim with Laurin. Overall, I was really happy with the cut and color. However, I left the salon with hair color stained on my forehead, which wasn't great because I had a couple errands to run on my way home. I mentioned it to Laurin, and she apologized, said it would come off in a few days and that toothpaste could help remove it faster. She also said she'd make a note so it wouldn't happen again next time. Unfortunately, at my appointment on June 22, it happened again. This time, there was enough color on my skin that I was wiping it off with a napkin while still sitting in the chair. Even so, I later discovered additional staining on my forehead, ears, and neck when I got home. What disappoints me most is that I shared this feedback in the text message I received after my appointment and haven't heard from anyone since. Honestly, that's the part that surprised me. Mistakes happen, but after it happened a second time--especially after we had already discussed it during my first visit--I would have appreciated at least an acknowledgment or follow-up. I almost didn't bother writing this review because the whole thing has been such a bummer. I'm only leaving it here as information for anyone who might find it helpful.

Everyone seemed kind of scattered. Around 8:20, they finally told me my stylist had called out sick and they were trying to find someone to come in. I even asked if I should just reschedule, but they said no, they had someone coming. I finally got in the chair at 9am. I was pissed, but at that point it was too late to go home and start doing my own hair. Luckily, my hair turned out PERFECT. Exactly what I wanted. So I figured it was just a bad morning and decided to go back. Fast forward to Monday. I had another event and booked a 1:45 appointment. At 1:20, I got a voicemail saying they were running behind and would see me at 2. Fine. I still got there at 1:45 and figured I'd just hang out in the AC. I wasn't taken back until 2:20. Normally I wouldn't be that annoyed, but after my first experience, I was already reeling. Then my hair was done and I looked like a poodle. Straight on top and huge and puffy on the bottom. I was already running late, so I just left. I live ONE MILE away. By the time I got home, my hair was completely straight. Not a curl left. I had to recurl my entire head myself before my event. So yeah... I won't be back. Two appointments, two major delays, and the second time I ended up having to redo my own hair anyway. Unfortunately, the other reviews are true.

I had a really disappointing experience here. I came in for a Brazilian blowout, and it lasted less…read morethan a month. During the process, the heat felt extremely high, and my hair felt damaged afterward. To make matters even worse I also had extensions installed by the owner, Odette, and the process was very concerning. There was excessive glue used, which spread throughout my hair and was difficult to remove Which caused a lot of my hair to fall out! I had to come back to have it fixed, and the replacement hair I purchased at the salon was poor quality, including pieces with a plastic backing. The beaded weft installation was very uncomfortable the beads were tightened so much that my scalp was extremely sore and even started bleeding. The entire process took around six hours to install 2 rows (which takes normally 1 hr to complete) while multiple other clients were being handled at the same time, which felt rushed and unprofessional. Overall, this experience left my hair and scalp in worse condition, and I would not recommend this salon. This place should honestly be closed down.

I found Glam Seamless after a long LONG online search and decided to take a risk and try them out because they mentioned blow outs even though they specialize in extensions. Their location is STUNNING. It's a quiet, tucked away oasis on a side street that's just to the side of the usual chaos on Sunset Blvd. Parking is pretty hard so don't make my mistake and make sure to allot at least 10 min. to find a spot before your appointment. Asia did a really wonderful job. She was detail-oriented and really took her time with my hair instead of rushing. I especially appreciate her commitment to helping me look and feel great before a big presentation I had that next morning (my whole reason for getting the blow out). I can't recommend this place enough, and I hope that Glam Seamless considers leaning more into the blow out services to help keep this wonderful salon as busy as it deserves to be.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

Had concerns with my first gel-x experience. It was painful. The tech didn't listen to my requests…read more I did. I was unhappy with the service but still paid full price and tipped accordingly. I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

Not only did I have a very positive hair experience with Jael, he accommodated a schedule change on short notice. I'd booked a modeling job on the day of my appointment, and he and the lovely Rebecca got me in the evening before and stayed late to make sure I looked good on the set. I was looking for someone who was adept at balayage, and not only does he do that well, he's like Edward Scissorhands in his cutting skills. I really appreciated that he asked if I wanted his input on my cut, which I did. Communication was an important part of my encounter with Jael. He clearly likes what he does, which made me feel confident and made for an energetic hour and 1/2 with him. The salon is cheery and bright, and the hair washing chairs are like a mini vacation! Jael texted me an hour before appointment asking me to push the appointment back. When I did arrive, he was incredibly rushed and rude. He threw a rode at me and told me he I needed to know exact brand and products I wanted use for my highlights because he had back to back appointments and had no time for "this". This being me wanting to ask questions about which products he thought would look best on my hair. I told him I felt he was being aggressive and rude and he basically freaked out on me. Based on his outburst and clear disinterest in his job, I felt very uncomfortable and told him I didn't think it would work and left. Aggressive, rude, and very condescending. This salon was quite unwelcoming. The stylist tried to convince me of a hair and style that wasn't what I wanted. While the suggestions weren't bad, they were pushy and didn't align with my vision. Additionally, I had to wait for my appointment, which was set at a specific time. While they do offer coffee and water, these amenities don't compensate for the waiting time or the awkwardness of having to explain that the style wasn't what I desired. read more

They did advise me they had someone knew with lower prices if I were interested. I was happy they were expanding but as I mentioned I was loyal to the person who already doing my hair. I had built a relationship and I was satisfied with the work being done. I requested to be booked with Lidia for my service. Now I know she's not there all the time so we can to coordinate a date where she was here on a weekend. I even requested a quote just so I would have an idea. Done! And received a confirmation. I had to reschedule and booked out for a month later. However the day before my services I received an email and saw a name I did not recognize. So I decided to text and confirm. I was advised that it was not with the owner but with a junior stylist because I had requested someone with lower prices. I was confused because I never asked, I was informed but because I didn't know her I was not comfortable moving forward with her. I then began receiving messages that if I didn't show then I would be charged, oh and the owner was not there so she wouldn't be the one doing my hair. I would however have the person (whom I don't know) do my hair because I "requested them". I tend to be clear, I don't know where the miscommunication came from. I've even received an original email that I was booked with the owner. I requested a call because I know I would never book with someone that I'm not comfortable and now have to be stuck in with. A lot of back and worth which wasn't leading anywhere. Neither of us felt that we were in the wrong, I was told I can book with the owner when she is in but at this moment I felt so uncomfortable and would be so awkward that I'd rather lose business with. I felt there was no accountability taken and I was convinced that I would be charged if I didn't show up with my appointment with someone I did not book.

Worst salon experience I have ever had. I came in for a root melt, they quoted me $90. I told them…read moreI had I perm done and I couldn't handle bleach in my hair or it would severely damage my hair and I wouldn't be able to go back to get my roots redone. The owner promised that she would only add tint but it isn't bleach. She bleached it anyway. For partial highlights, they charged me $400 and she saved the color she used in the system so I can come back in 3 weeks for a root touch up. The whole point of me getting a root melt was so that my natural color can grow in. I cried to them immediately after over the phone and they said they do not offer ANY refunds even if I claim they burned my hair (which they did, and now have so many flyaways) they only offer fixes. I told them I didn't trust them to fix my hair since they completed disregarded what I said in the first place. And on the phone, he laughed at me for suggesting that rootmelts make salon visits less frequent. He even asked me what a root melt was. So I went back for a fix and they recorded me when I sat down on the chair without my consent. I told them to do a root melt and that my natural hair was dark brown. He said so level 3 ? I didn't even know what that meant I'm not a colorist, he didn't even show me the color chart. The result was a near black shade. The aftermath? My hair was four different colors- grey, brown, black, and green. After going to another salon to fix their mess (a color correction costing an additional $300) they said this salon should have understood color theory, this is basic knowledge that any salon should know. Don't come here. They don't know what their doing, they don't understand what root melts are, they don't understand color theory, they'll damage your hair, they won't give you a refund, and they don't listen to your requests. Oh ! And they will record you without your consent when you need a revision and will set you up by saying color levels without reference to color charts. Every salonist I spoke with was appalled and the job they did, questioned their license status, and was dissapointed in their lack of professionalism. I added the photos so you can see what they did. These were taken right after the salon. The brassy photo was from the first time and the other two are from the second visit. I had to blurr my face for how much I was crying.

From the complimentary drink to the inviting conversation and my shampoo and massage ‍ was relaxing . I'm planning to schedule my haircut ‍ here very soon and there's even jewelry to look at in the front (I was just out of time). There's a reason why I'm loyal to this salon ‍ for many many years. Their work is fabulous and natural so that I can look polished for many many years and I remain loyal. Parking is always packed despite my early appointment but I guess it's just because this is the place to spend hours easily. During the process, the heat felt extremely high, and my hair felt damaged afterward. To make matters even worse I also had extensions installed by the owner, Odette, and the process was very concerning. There was excessive glue used, which spread throughout my hair and was difficult to remove Which caused a lot of my hair to fall out! I had to come back to have it fixed, and the replacement hair I purchased at the salon was poor quality, including pieces with a plastic backing. The beaded weft installation was very uncomfortable the beads were tightened so much that my scalp was extremely sore and even started bleeding. The entire process took around six hours to install 2 rows (which takes normally 1 hr to complete) while multiple other clients were being handled at the same time, which felt rushed and unprofessional. Overall, this experience left my hair and scalp in worse condition, and I would not recommend this salon. This place should honestly be closed down.

The next morning, I received a text asking if I could come in much earlier due to a scheduling change. As a hairstylist myself, I knew exactly what was happening. Someone had canceled, and they were trying to fill a gap in the stylist's schedule. No problem. I rearranged my own day, moved a call, and made it work. What I don't understand is why I was then left waiting for about 20 minutes after I arrived. If you're asking clients to change their schedules to accommodate yours, shouldn't their time be respected too? That immediately put a bad taste in my mouth, especially after learning the reason for the schedule change was a cancellation. I went out of my way to help avoid a gap in the stylist's day, only to end up sitting there waiting anyway. The salon itself is beautiful, and the owner was very nice. However, during the shampoo service, the towels smelled strongly of mildew. Every time one was used, that's all I could smell. As for the haircut, it was fine. Not terrible. Not amazing. Just very mid. For a salon charging well over $200 for a haircut, I expected something that felt a little more special. The weirdest part was checkout. When I went to pay, they told me they weren't charging me because it was "just a trim." I still left a $100 tip, but honestly, it felt less like a complimentary service and more like they knew the experience hadn't gone particularly well. I was also given a candle, which was a nice gesture, but it didn't really change the overall experience. At the end of the day, if you're charging luxury prices, people expect a luxury experience. Between being asked to rearrange my schedule, waiting 20 minutes after doing so, the mildew smelling towels, and a haircut that was ultimately just okay, I don't think the experience matched the price point.
