I got an organic Keratin treatment from Rebeca last Sunday and I LOVE it. My frizzy out of control mane is now tamed and so beautiful and easy to manage. I no longer need to blow dry and then use a flat iron to straighten and wave. I have soft, smooth and lovely waves now from just air drying. Rebeca is lovely and the shop was comfortable. read more

Absolutely awful experience. I came in asking for a simple touch-up--nothing drastic--but they completely changed my hair without asking. It looked nothing like what I wanted or had before. I called to come back in and get it fixed, but on my way there, there was a car accident (because, you know, LA traffic). I called multiple times to let them know I'd be late, but no one ever answers the phone. When I finally got in touch, instead of understanding the situation or taking accountability for messing up my hair in the first place, I was told I'd be charged a cancellation fee--for the appointment that was supposed to fix their mistake. To make it worse, the stylist had the nerve to imply I couldn't afford the service, basically calling me "broke" in the most unprofessional, harassing way. He then said he would refund me and hasn't. He will steal your money and tip. I paid for a service I didn't receive, got treated with zero respect, and then insulted on top of it. Save your money, your time, and your dignity--go literally anywhere else. read more

This review is so long overdue! I got a Groupon back in June for a haircut and balayage/ombre. I went in and Jael took care of me. He recommended adding some more products which ended up costing extra but the final product was worth it! I have two important points to make: (i) His technique! What a difference compared to my previous hairdresser... To make the coloring more natural-looking, he carefully separated some tiny locks of hair and applied the color to the remaining ones. I thought it was going to take double the time but that was not the case. In 2h I was in and out. Incredible! (In the past it had sometimes taken over 3h). (ii) His advice: I wanted it to be natural-looking but still be noticeable that I had gotten something done! He suggested going a bit subtle and I am SO happy I trusted him! I got so many compliments! Also, by applying purple shampoo (also his advice. By the way -- it DOES make a difference) the color has been maintained very well. Jael was also very nice and really seemed to care I was satisfied. First time I am 100% satisfied with a hair dresser in LA (and without breaking the bank!). I got a partial balayage and cut plus the olaplex treatment (because my hair was super damaged). He is a pro and so enjoyable to talk to. LOVE Jael!!! He is a true artist. I am VERY picky and protective with my hair, I don't trust many with coloring it. I don't think I need to explain much as to why I love him, the pictures speak for themselves! I have naturally dark brown hair and he lifts it perfectly to achieve the vibrant red I've always craved. Big, big, BIG waste of my time. I purchased a groupon and made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. When I came into the salon I was 15 MINUTES early and when Jael finally looked at my hair he said the Groupon was only for partial highlights and not what the Groupon had indicated - ombre, Balayage or highlights. He claimed that he knew what was on the Groupon. Apparently not! He told me I can contact groupon and get a refund. Um... sound familiar? He seems to do this to several Groupon clients. Jael, If you don't want us patronizing your salon, then don't offer Groupons and then try to bait and switch. When I called and booked my appointment, why didn't they disclose that they charge $65 extra to tone my hair. I've never heard of this before in the 30 years I've been getting my hair dyed. EVER!!! If I could give 100 Stars I would because of the outstanding service, the absolutely gorgeous results and the incredible kindness of Jael is unsurpassed! My hair had grown nearly down to my waist (!!) and the last time it had been cut and colored was well over almost a year and a half ago - with just one look at my hair, Jael correctly guessed it had been precisely a year and a half since I had seen a hairdresser! Magician? Wizard? He is all these things and more because the magic he worked on my hair was so absolutely beautiful, I almost started to cry,when I saw the finished results! I have struggled with severe medical problems for the last five years which significantly changed many things in my life. The medication I have to take daily, has caused me to gain 50 pounds of weight that my small (but tall lol) frame has caused many difficulties and significant pain in my body, and joints , and has also destroyed my confidence especially. Jael is incredibly kind and caring, and is so amazingly talented at what he does! My hair was cut perfectly without me even having to explain exactly what i wanted, he just " knew " and the highlights he did on my hair ( which was naturally dark brown but had been dyed almost black for over ten years now) came out beyond perfect! Had color, cut and keratin by Jael today. Love the results. He is warm, knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. Walking in, my hair was quite a mess. He had his work cut out for him and he fixed both my ugly color and gave me a nice cut. Definitely go back to him! But...Rebecca helped him out with my hair a couple times in between his other clients rinsing my color, and applying keratin etc. She was rude, repeatedly scalded my head with too hot of water( I had to tell her 3 different times that she's burning me), applying keratin she was so rough with the comb my head was getting sore, then got the chemical solution right in my eye and by the look on her face she could give a shi*, then as my eye is red and watering, she finally hands me a towel that was visibly covered in the same chemical so I could guess wipe more chemicals in my eye? Jael came over with a clean cloth he ran under fresh water for me so I could stop the burning. He finished my hair and I was able to leave on a good note. He's great so I'm giving 5 stars. Her, not so much. I'd give her negative stars. She literally got chemicals in my eye and did zero to help me except finally give me a towel visibly covered with it from her tray she was working from after she states "well, what do you want me to do"?
