I was recommended to come to this salon by a mutual friend. I have super curly thick hair and wanted to try the Keratin treatment (Brazilian blowout) to tame my curls and frizz. Thank goodness I came here because the staff is absolutely amazing. Emily was my hairstylist and was amazing. She is super friendly, fun to talk to, and super knowledgeable about the treatment. She answered all my questions and made sure I left the salon feeling confident and beautiful with my new hair. I looked completely different and I love it. My treatment took about an hour and a half but didn't feel like it because it went by so quickly. The price is super reasonable too. I've been going to the same person for hair straightening for over 30 years but when she was on vacation when I really needed a treatment, I found out about Roy online. I've had multiple Brazilian Blowouts in different states and by different people. *Emily* at L&R is by far the best, fastest and sweetest gal to work some magic on my hair! Parking is a bit of an issue. It's always a 2 hour limit or no parking unless you have a permit. The past couple times Emily has done my hair I've been out in 1 hour to 1.5 depending on root touch up. Her work is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. I came in for a Brazilian blowout about a month ago. I really loved the whole experience and process of the ventilated rooms and taking an hour to complete. Fast forward to a month later when my hair is frizzy again. I've gotten many Brazilian blowouts in the past and they always last 4-5 months. Very upset it hasn't lasted as long because I thought this place was great. I always use sulfate free products, don't swim in chlorine or the ocean and follow all Brazilian blow out instructions. read more

I went in today to get a Brazilian Blowout treatment and I had the best experience. I have combination hair texture which makes it very frizzy and hard to manage. They were so nice and informative about what I can do to manage my frizz and maintain the blowout over time. I will definitely be coming back in a couple of months once the treatment has worn off. The only hairdresser I let touch my hair. 5+ yrs so far! Highlights, lowlights; Brazilian blowouts, hair cuts, etc! my hair is so healthy :) and yes all my hair is 100% my own hair. Roy keeps it so healthy w/great products. happy cause other Beverly Hills/ LA salons I've been to have ruined my hair from going black (natural color) to blonde. He is the only hair dresser thats been able to help me keep my real hair and stay light w/o having to keep my hair short from damage or getting extensions! I'll let photos show how nice he gets my color!! And it's super difficult to turn Asian hair from black to blonde in 1 shot without ruining it or turning it some ridiculous orange or red tint! This is a great saloon for Brazilian blowout I had to travel.outside the country so i.had to minimize time spent to keep.my curly hair looking frizzy. They have designated cubicles for just brazilian blowout & protected my eyes fr burning sensation fr the chemicals. I should have left when asked by the stylist (Emily) whether I wanted to leave with the product still on my hair or if I wanted it washed out. That would have been the first big red flag, half way through the process she asked how my stylist in NYC did the process. After I told her she changed what she was doing to mimic the information I had just relayed. After getting home and washing my hair for the first time I saw that one side was processed amazingly but the other side was under-processed. Wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. read more
