I asked one of the staff how long they've been opened in this location and I believe it has been over a year. Cool, I said to myself: I found a local spot that serves reasonably priced healthy food. Prices generally start at 6.99 and up for everything. I included a photo of their diverse menu. I ended up getting a juice made of pineapple, grapefruit, cherry and celery. Along with a hot ackee and saltfish patty! Ackee and saltfish is the Jamaican national dish prepared with ackee and salted codfish. The ackee fruit (Blighia sapida) is the national fruit of Jamaica. It was brought to the Caribbean from Ghana before 1725 as 'Ackee' or 'Aki'. Anyway, this seems like a nice local business to satisfy your cravings (they have salmon, turkey, veggie and chicken burgers amongst a plethora of other items to chow down on, if the need arises!) Ran into some difficulties with our order--specifically with the Kim's mix. They didn't have the bread, basil, or arugula for the sandwich. So we opted for a Reuben instead. Which was the right choice. Delicious. When the guy brought us the Reuben, he informed us they didn't have the tuna for the tuna sandwich. He was so apologetic.
