I've been wanting to try this place since my last visit so I had to come this time around. It's a bit much since I wasn't sure what to expect. There was a long line outside and I asked the folks what they were in line for and they said the ice cream. I asked if I just wanted to go into the market to look, that was around the corner. It's like a smaller version of wholefoods so I walked around a bit. Very crowded when I went. I ended up getting a salmon cake which I asked the counter guy what he would recommend. Not very talkative or helpful so whatever. At the register, they can heat up your food. Mine fortunately was over cooked and dry. I would not get again. It was barely edible but I had walked over to the park to eat and I wasn't going back. After I paid, I realized I could also order the ice cream so the cashier let me add that. Went for some frozen yogurt on one of the warmers days of winter and was met with a 20ish minute line outside for frozen yogurt and another 10 minute line inside to buy groceries. Yogurt was super rich and creamy, I ended up getting the vanilla and peanut butter with pistachio drizzle. I already had a ton before snapping the picture and it was so worth it. I feel like this is THE place for lunch after spending a morning at the Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art for the non-New Yorkers). Of course I saw this place on TikTok and decided to check it out. I have no idea why people even come to this market. I had such a rude experience with the guy behind the food counter. Went in to purchase sandwiches which I saw on the website and asked if I can get the tarragon chicken sandwich, chicken wrap and all the guy said was that he does not make sandwiches and that he does not "touch bread". I told him there were sandwiches online and they are available here. He kept trying to tell me he did not have it and that I'd have to go to catering to get them. I've been here for both food and frozen yogurt. I think the prepaired food is okay but extreamly overpriced for what you're getting. The coconut chicken wings are by far the best item I've had. There is regularly a long line for the frozen yogurt which I personally found to be too sweet (I got the seasonal Red Rasberry flavor with mango and toasted coconut) but the size was good for two people to split. This place is always busy and it is cute. I would probably try some other things but the only thing I would get again is the wings but even still they are pretty pricy for what you get. read more

I have been a regular customer for the past several years and I have reached the point of taking a taxi cab to shop elsewhere -- especially when it comes to produce. This store has a huge management problem. Tons of employees in uniform hurry around but no one is in charge. I asked why they were selling yellow (spoiled) arugula and no one had an answer. There was no real manager to ask. Instagram has ruined this place. It is crowded with influencers -- not to mention dogs of all kinds (owners "claim" they are service animals but they are obviously not) and children scootering through on e-skooters. I expected it to be bigger and have a more expansive selection of certain goods; for example I wasn't wowed by the oils and vinegars. Collection of tinned fish wasn't anything better than you'd find at a Whole Foods. Lots of prepared foods, some of which seemed much more reasonably priced than others. For example, hefty sandwiches were in the $11-$13 range while one side of rice and peas was $9.50. Sushi was reasonably priced and looked well made. There was also a made-to-order panini area. The outdoor window serving frozen yogurt seemed popular. Prices were in the $6-8 range depending on size. None of the flavors were anything interesting. Overall it's cute and maybe worth a stop if you're looking for a quick thing to grab and eat in the park (it's about a block off of Central Park) but I'm not sure I'd make it into a destination. read more

It was quite busy at the checkout but I was able to browse and buy a sandwich (for about $11) and a cucumber and balsamic vinegar. By the time I was ready for the check out there was virtually no one in line.
