Despite the relatively low mileage since the rebuild, Ford has declined to warranty or support the repair. This is extremely disappointing. A rebuilt transmission should reasonably last far longer than 38,000 miles, and Ford's refusal to stand behind its own work reflects very poorly on the brand. Additionally, the customer service I received from the service department was unacceptable. Rather than offering assistance or accountability, I was simply told that nothing would be done.

My (95) year old father brought a Motorcraft battery to them for warranty that he bought at…read moreCloniger Ford, the battery would not stay charged, goes dead in two days without even being hooked to the battery terminals of the vehicle, they told him they would have to charge and test it and would have an answer by 11am, he received no call so he went back and they told him they weren't able to get it on the tester yet and that it would be later in the afternoon, they called him and then told him it would be the next day, he went back up there around lunch time and they told him their tester was broken and they couldn't replace it without testing it. Something they do not realize is that he was a certified Fost master technician for 30 years and I was a certified Ford master technician for 33 years and fully understand they are lying and no Ford dealership would only have (ONE) tester and leave their customers stranded over a tester, especially a 95 year old customer! A few years ago he took a vehicle to them for a front end alignment, they put it on the alignment machine, then came out and told him he needed an eccentric kit installed to do the alignment and multiple other steering components, he told them we had already replaced the parts they were trying to sell him and that we had already installed the eccentrics kit before it was brought to them and that he wanted his vehicle back, they refused to let him have it back until he paid for an alignment he never got so being in his 90s he paid it so he could leave, he lives with my wife and I so I immediately drove it back up there, demanded they put it on the lift in front of the service manager and show me everything they put on the estimate and as I stated they had already been replaced and the service manager admitted it and refunded his money. Needless to say we will never use their dealership again, especially knowing they have no issues doing this to elderly.

Do not bother purchasing a warranty through them…read more At the time of signing, I was pressured into keeping the warranty by KJ in the finance department. I was told I wouldn't qualify for the same APR if I declined it. That influenced my decision in the moment. A few weeks later, when I called to ask about canceling, KJ in the finance department gave me misleading information. He told me I should wait a few months to cancel to avoid fees--when in reality, waiting would have reduced my refund. Canceling earlier would have resulted in a full refund. The warranty would have cost about $3,500 over the full term (before interest), and it is only a partial warranty that doesn't even cover key features like Autonomous Driving Systems or other add-ons. On top of that, it is not backed by Toyota--it is a third-party warranty. Overall, the process felt misleading and not transparent. You're better off skipping the warranty altogether.
