If you're paying cash for a vehicle do not go the Carmazone. They are a predatory dealership that does not want to sell cars to people who pay cash. Allow me to explain. I found a vehicle that I had been looking for for a while at their dealership advertised on Facebook Marketplace. I contacted the dealership and talked to a salesperson and explained to him that I was looking for an out the door price for the vehicle and that I would not be requiring any financing, I would be paying cash. The salesperson, Bubba, told me that he would get together with his sales manager and work something up and get back with me. He never did. Several weeks later I called back because I noticed that the vehicle is still being sold on market price for $7,872 and that it was still available. I called the dealership again and this time I talked to a salesperson that was on his first day of the job. I again explained that I was paying cash and that I did not have a trade in and I did not require financing and I that I was looking for an out the door price on the vehicle cash. He told me it was his first day and he was going to get together with the sales manager and get a price put together for me. About 2 hours later they texted me an image of the spreadsheet for the quote. I'll looked over the fees and they did not make any sense so I asked the first day salesperson about it and he told me he would get his sales manager on the phone to explain it to me. The sales manager got on the phone and explained to me that they are not in the business of selling cars, they are in the business of getting financing for cars and that is where they make their money and if I was to pay the asking price for the vehicle they would lose too much from the financing company's so they add the fees to incentivize the customers to finance. He also explained that if I went to the website for their business all of their pricing is explained. I explained to him that irregardless of them putting it on their website this business practice is unethical and that I felt they are deliberately misleading their customers to get them to come through the door. He told me he was offended by my accusation and he hung up on me. Side note, I have looked all over their website and cannot find where they explain their pricing. I'm not saying it's there but it's not exactly displayed in such a way that you could easily find it. Irregardless of whether that information is posted on the website or not these business practices are unethical and deliberately deceiving to people who are simply trying to find a honest deal on a reliable vehicle. I have all phone calls between me and the dealership recorded So if they would like to contest anything I have stated I can back up everything with receipts. If you get a better deal at tire places and other oil change places, you may save time by not coming here. If you can wait, they offer great products and services. Apparently the battery went out on it so I asked to exchange the car. I wanted to trade for another car. 77 auto their sister dealer made original lemon car deal. They ran a hard credit check without my permission on a car that they knew was out of my price range @ sister co 77 Auto. That Sales person Raashad tries to get me into a car I can't afford then sent me pictures of damage vehicles in my price range. in other words we were stuck with a car that didn't run after 40 miles. We went without the car for months. They Never asked to use our warranty that we paid additional money on to fix apparently a screwed up battery that they supposedly do 160 point check on the vehicle b4 sale. They used up all but $127 of a $10,000 warranty without permission. I found out when the air conditioner went out several months later my warranty was used up by Carmazon. Management finally has called me after I contacted the police. They agreed to refund my purchase price on the Extended warranty. They are unscrupulous and shouldn't be listed on the BBB with a AAA rating. I still lost $1000's on that lemon deal. read more

If I could give a negative score regarding this experience, it definitely would be posted! I must say our overall experience with CARmazone "was not", meaning it was a GREAT disappointment. In the beginning, we were invited in by Jeff, in his words, "MY FAVORITE CAR SALESMAN", first my husband alone- who couldn't get the financing on his own and then, as a couple. So, I agreed to go be a co-signer with him on the application. At that point, we received a call that we were "approved"! Great! In continuance, we go to the dealership, and am greeted by Jeff, my husband test drives the truck, and the paper proceeds. (1) We were informed that there was an issue with emission and someone was out driving the truck to - "hopefully, make the light go off". It did. (2) Then, I was asked for a plethora of paperwork by the finance manager that day which I provided. I emailed everything they asked for between the time where were physically there to the time I went home and took the time to email all the docs required. Well unbeknownst to me, all that work was done in vain. The information that I took the time to send in was never uploaded promptly and the bank began to request information directly from us. They told us all was well, gave us the keys, and sent us on our way! (3) Over the next couple of days - Carmazone's salesperson, Jeff - called numerous times - to get the same information - several times - that we had allegedly provided. He continued to explain that the information that I had provided to the finance manager had been sitting in his email and had to be deleted after a certain amount of days. So, why wasn't the information uploaded immediately? I sent it over to them again. Then, let them know that I had started another job which was after the "purchase" of the vehicle. (4) Next, thing I knew - the loan was denied. The reason given by the dealership verbally was not clear. The options we were given were to provide more money which we didn't have, get other financing (suggest to try another back on our own), or return the vehicle. We are returning the truck this afternoon. It was a very disheartening experience because we were warmly welcomed, and Jeff kept us abreast of every single detail. He responded to every call promptly. However, when the deal didn't look like it was going to go through CARmazone left us out there on our own, stopped responding to calls, and became "busy". It has been a professional experience that has turned quite unprofessional as the days gone went on. They led us to believe the loan was already approved - only to experience the embarrassment of having to remove all our belongings from the truck and return it. They didn't communicate honestly their process, placed the keys in my husband's hand, and sent us on our way without any remorse about their position in the situation. My suggestion is to make sure that you get your financing before getting to them - if you use them. If not, proceed with caution regarding the financing part of your journey with them. They will sweet talk you to get the deal, charge you $2000 for their warranty, you WILL have multiple car issues days after you take it home, but only after you're called to be told they goofed financing and you have to come back. Shortly after Caramazone reached out to me claiming they were interested.... I told Kember that I didn't think it would be worth my time being that I wanted to get 9700$ out of the vehicle which did not seem reasonable being that they would have to make money off of it to resell. Kember reassured me that they would not invite me if they felt it was a waste of my time..... knowing what I was asking for the car. Long story short I wasted two hours of my time to be offered less than the instant cash offer did from these guys. I went there to get a car. I knew what I wanted and knew I would have to bite the bullet on an Interest rate because my credit took a hit when I had Covid in 2020 and was hospitalized and then rehab. I am a first time car buyer and mistakenly went to CARmazone for a vehicle that I saw online that I wanted. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted. I took the car for a test drive and decided I wanted to purchase the vehicle. My first problems started when the sales rep gave me an attitude for having my own financing instead of financing through their dealership. I wanted to pay for my vehicle in cash, to which they gave me even more push back. The sales rep went back and forth with me how it isn't possible for them to run debit card transactions- but then asked me to pay $5,000 on my debit card before I left and pay the rest with a check. The finance manager, Josh, who had just started at the time, went over my paperwork with me. When we went outside to the vehicle before I left, I noticed that several panels on the interior were loose and the back seat had some foam showing. Josh assured me that I could call and make an appointment to have this fixed and they would absolutely take care of it. Being a first time car buyer, I thought okay, and didn't think I'd have to get this in writing- I would just wait until I needed my oil changed to make the hour drive back up to get the interior fixed as well. The car was also extremely dirty (debris all over the floor, some mud marks) on the interior prior to leaving the dealership. I made my appointment and when I was there was told that they could not fix the interior. I explained that I was promised to me before I left the dealership. The service department said they would get back to me about it, which they never did. I then submitted an online inquiry and was contacted by Josh, who told me I was wrong and that he never said that. I am extremely disappointed in the car buying process and level of service provided by this dealership. Chatted with the sales manager, who said he could check my credit to see if I qualified for financing. I asked specifically - is this a soft credit inquiry? I was VERY clear on this. He said, yes... in fact, he elaborated that it's only a hard inquiry if I negotiate a price and want to buy a car. "It doesn't affect your credit". I did agree to let him run the "soft inquiry". He showed me the report and asked me to sign it (to show that I gave him permission to show it to me). Yes, this did seem out of place, in hindsight, I shouldn't have signed it. Checked online later that day, and Equifax has it listed as a HARD INQUIRY. Yes, this effects my credit. I was specifically and clearly lied to. I'm happy I didn't get any closer to buying a car from this shady dealership. I accept fault in not seeing the comic stereotype of the "used car salesman" in real life and not walking away. But then again, like many in the situation, I find it hard to be that rude. Long story short, don't even step onto the lot. You'll be sorry. read more

I had bought a car from this dealership about six months ago. After having it for about a month the turbo ended up having issues. They fixed it but tried to say it was my fault and that they shouldn't have to for free. Now were four months later and my transmission mount bracket has broke. Went to talk to them and they said there is nothing they could do because it's not under warranty even tho I still have six months left of a one year warranty. I purchased a 2018 Chevy Equinox from Carmazone. I barely drive my car because I work from home. Less than 24 hours of my purchase, my car notified me of low tire pressure in the back passenger tire. The sensor was wrong it was actually the front passenger tire. Called Carmazone and took the car to their service center. They plugged the tire and fixed the sensors. Less than a month later the sensor for the tire they plugged stopped working and the car alerted the tire monitor system needs to be serviced. Took the car back to be serviced for oil change and tire rotation and they gave me a $75 fee for the tire monitoring battery as well as additional fees for an alignment and balled tires from wear and tear when I've had the car LESS THAN 6 MONTHS. I've driven less than 1K and was told that warranty does not cover any of these costs. Driving in the rain the car drifts uncontrollably going over 20 mph and almost killed me. read more

We have two SUV purchased from Carmazone, one bought July 2020 and one Jan 2021; the engine went one on Thursday on one and something electrical on the other on Friday on the same week!! This place is crap. I bought a car from them. Said it was perfect and ready to go. 2014 Jetta tdi Wagon. Brakes were warped, ebake did not work. check engine light on for VW TDI emission recall. I was told I had a warranty. One month later, still do not have paper work from the purchase, nor the warranty info. The bank they used will not honor the loan amount. I have been complaining since April 9th about the car. Every day I am told that someone is calling back. I have spent over $1000 dollars on this car and it is at VW currently getting fix again. Do not buy from them. Julie the sales rep is as ignorant as they come. Their service department, run by Kitchens, is a complete liar. Ooooffff bought a 2014 Passat and got a decent deal and the sales team was great. Nick was super helpful and this review does not reflect how great he was. Mike the sales manager told me how great their service team is and nothing was missed when I mentioned the rear rotors were rusted pretty bad and would have liked $100 off the asking price so I can replace them when I got back (12 hour drive back to Chicago). Well unfortunately service wasn't great because when they replaced the battery they lost or never put on the bracket to tie down the battery. Called in 2 months after purchase because I only found out when the transition fluid needed to be changed. Didn't get anywhere after a couple weeks of calling so I decided to talk to a sales manager directly... PATRICK the sales manager got very irate with me when I told them their service inspection wasn't good since they didn't even bolt down the battery and if they weren't going to help remedy it I would have to leave my honest opinion that buyers should be careful of that fact that something simple might be missed in the 100+ point inspection or when they replace batteries in their service department. Then Pat went full rage mode told me I was extorting them and that lawyers would be involved and he would go after my job by telling my boss (I guess he thought I worked for the state or something). But dealership was nice, buying process was good and Pat should not have contact with customers. Moral of the story get a repurchase inspection. read more
