My fiancé and I came here after a bad experience at another dealership. I had a specific vehicle I wanted to test drive. Prices: The prices are pretty decent! Customer Service: We were very glad to have a sales team that didn't pressure us or try to be slick, like the last dealership. They answered all of our questions, were friendly and personable, but didn't hover or pry. They offered us water and coffee and were just nice in general. I also received a free power train warranty as long as I get my oil changes there! We purchased the car in January 2018. I have been back for oil changes, and just recently my battery had an issue. I get out of school at 5pm, and they close at 5:30pm week nights. I live 35 minutes from school. I went to the service department and explained my issue, at 5:10pm, and they happily took my car in to replace the battery. They didn't once mention it was almost closing time. Short version: Save yourself the wasted time at this dealership and go somewhere else where there are salesmen's who actually have some clue and knowledge about the brand of vehicles they have on their lot! Long version: I decided to stop by this dealership to check out the new 2019 Odyssey's, particularly the Touring and Elite models. Drove onto the lot and there was already a salesman outside. He slowly walked towards my car and stopped while I was getting my baby out. He greeted us and we exchanged hellos and I stated that I would like to take a look at a '19 Touring/Elite Odyssey. I forgot exactly what he said but right away, it was apparent that he obviously did not know that Honda only makes one type of minivan and that's the Odyssey. He suggested that we go inside to get out of the heat so he can check what they have in their inventory. We sat down at a desk and he verified the models that I had specified I wanted to see. I confirmed it. He left to go check the inventory. He returned and asked about leather seats along with a few other features that was STANDARD on the Touring & Elite models. He asked about the price range that I wanted to stay within. By this point, I was starting to get piss because I had already done my homework on those two models and I have some ideas of their price ranges and it was within my budget. He must have sense my frustration as he made an excuse to get up from the desk to go talk to a manager, while doing so he ran into the separation wall. He came back and stated that there was one that had just came off the truck. We made our way outside to the vehicle. He opened the driver side side and stepped away as I started to look. I tried to open the sliding passenger door by pressing the button and of course he didn't have the key to the vehicle that he was showing! I wanted to see the trunk and of course without the key, nothing will open! What car salesman tries to SHOW/SALE a car and NOT have the freaking car keys?! By now, I was furious, so I told him that it's okay. I'll come back another time or go check out another dealership. I started walking away towards my car. He followed behind shouting behind what he could do to help, blah, blah, blah...I told him bye. I made it to my car and started loading my baby in as the sales manager made his way to introduced himself and asked what he could do to help my buying experience. I told him that I don't have time to waste, thanked him, got in my car and drove away. This isn't my first time dealing with the sales department at this dealership. I've had my vehicle serviced here several times and have no issues with the SERVICE department. The SALES department is another story. The salesmen's are so NOT helpful, some are incompetent and this particular salesman obviously had NO clue about Honda vehicles. PLEASE at least pretend to fake it that as a car salesman, you at least know the make and model of the vehicles that you're trying to sale! And to never UNDERESTIMATE the knowledge of an Asian female. Stopped by to set an appointment for an oi change and tire rotation for 2 days later. The service guy set it up for 8:15. Got a text the next day to remind me of my appointment at 2:30 the following day. Very confused but I brought it in at 8:15 like I was TOLD in person. Was promptly told that my car was scheduled for 2:30 and it would be there all day. NO THANKS. Horrible customer service. I selected 1 star because I had to select one. This dealership does not have their customer's best interest in mind. We live 2 hours away from this dealership so we wanted to call and talk specifics before we decided to make the drive down there. After calling twice and speaking with a salesperson about a specific vehicle on their lot, making sure it was still available, going over rough numbers of down payment, credit score, and equity of trade-in we decided everything sounded great. We set up an appointment for the very next morning to come in test drive the vehicle and then hopefully go through with the sale. We were contacted by the salesperson in the morning confirming our appointment time and we let them know that we were on our way and should be there in about an hour. Forty minutes later we were again contacted and told that the vehicle we were on our way to purchase was just sold. We were also informed that apparently there was also another appointment for the same day to view the same vehicle but that was not communicated to us when we made the appointment. After letting the salesperson know in a not so friendly tone that this was EXTREMELY unacceptable we asked to speak with the manager. The manager apologized and said they actually had the same vehicle with a few more miles (10,000 to be exact) on the lot and that he would go make sure it indeed had all the same features and would call us back in 10 mins. Thirty minutes later he returned our call to let us know that yes it had all the same features but it would be about the same price, less $1,000. Now, I'm not a car salesperson nor am I in the car industry but only taking off $1,000 for 10,000 more miles and different (less expensive) wheels is not trying to get an irate customer to continue to do business with you. The best they could do for us was apologize and offered to "fill up our gas tank". While I appreciate that, it would have only cost them about $10-$15 to do that while we incurred a HUGE inconvenience of travel time and paying a sitter to watch our kids so we could go purchase this vehicle. Never again will I even LOOK at this place. (Gerry Wood Honda) Came here and test drove a few vehicles this week based off a co-workers review. What ensued for the past 4 days irritated me to no end. These guys wanted me to pay 11k for 2006 vehicle, with bad financing and high monthly payments that were OUTRAGEOUS. They kept calling me every 30 minutes asking me if I've made a decision yet. For 4 days, GWH and my father argued over the price of a stupid gas guzzling trailblazer!! The foreign sales manager kept telling me "I want to sell you a car more than you want to buy one" OKAY THEN WHY DID WE ARGUE OVER THE PRICE OF A CAR FOR 4 DAYS. This dealerships service department is atrocious! My 4 month old CRV had issues w the upholstery so I took it to this dealership bc I bought it there. I sat for 2.5 hours before I was told by Lisa one of the managers that they ordered the wrong part. They also told me after this error on their part that I couldn't use their courtesy shuttle to go home because I'm 18 miles away (15 minutes) and I would have to wait 2.5 hours more for them to put it back together or have no car for the weekend. Lisa also said "I apologize, I'd bleed for you if I could" which is not only condescending but also patronizing. I was justifiably upset by the situation and this was escalated by Lisa's rude comments and later when I told her what I thought of her unprofessional behavior what I thought of her in no uncertain terms she told me they were going to put my vehicle that had the seats torn out into the parking lot and I could take it elsewhere to get it repaired! The Chevy dealership next door's courtesy shuttle took me home and back- obviously Gerrywood Honda doesn't go that extra mile even as a consolation prize because they were incompetent in the first place. I purchased my 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L from GWH in July 2014 and had a great experience. I have had all of my services performed by them also. While I was there on 11/11/17 getting my car serviced I decided to look at the 2017 Hybrid. I found a Touring and after going back and fourth I was given a price of 29,500 out the door with my car (that has 41,000 miles) as a trade. I decided that was too high and left. The salesman, Alvin, called me back and said that they were willing to sell the 2017 Hybrid Touring that I looked at for 28,000.00. I asked for the VIN# and found that it was not the car I thought we were negotiating on at all. I had test drove the Demo (they wanted $32,461.58 out the door for that one) and one other vehicle that I had taken a picture of the window sticker of with the VIN#. I asked him to send me the window sticker on the one they are offering for 28,000 and it was the same color and appeared to have the same options. I sent him a text and asked him to call me....I never heard back from him. I went to dealership Saturday night, November 18, 2017, since I was in the area of Concord (I live on the other side of Charlotte and it is about 40-45 minutes drive to GWH). I met with my original salesman, Travis, and explained the situation. I test drove the one that the 28,000 was given for and then test drove the same vehicle just a different color. After I drove the vehicle and decided that I would purchase it, I wanted to know what the new amount would now be. I told them that I was actually $600-700 off the original amount I thought I owed on my car and it was actually less. A few minutes later they came back and said that Alvin was new and he gave me the wrong information on the vehicle and they were wanting to sell me a base or EX-L hybrid for the 28,000.00!! They went back up on the Touring to over the $29,500 that was given to me on 11/11/17. They were also told that I had my own financing all I needed was the final $$ and I would make the call since it is a Credit Union and they are available 24/7. The amount they were giving me for my trade was nothing and they were eating it back up in fees. These people are liars!! I have pictures and text message(s) about the car. I am not a stupid female and I keep notes on everything (part of my job) so I don't know who they think they are pulling one over on but it is not me!! I have never said anything bad about this dealership in all the years that I have dealt with them. I am a loyal person and customer. THIS MEANS NOTHING TO THEM!! I am questioned all the time about my car and I have always said to go the GWH but NEVER AGAIN!! I am going to buy a new vehicle but it will not be from them. This experience has left a bad taste for not only the dealership but for HONDA. I have been a loyal Honda owner on (mostly) and off since 1985. I may have to change that also. ***Footnote: During my 11/18/17 test drive Travis said that people are not wanting to buy used Hybrids because of the battery replacement at 100,000 miles and that is why they don't have a great resale value!! This is the same car that I currently drive and am looking at buying again!! I only wanted to update my car for the new technology. I will owe less than $13,000.00 with my next car payment I was very surprised that he said this and still don't understand where this came from. I can buy a non Hybrid for less $$ but I really do like my car. I am not concerned about replacing the battery. I just wanted updated technology and I like the 2017 body style and interior better than the 2018 (non-Hybrid but same everything else) that I test drove the night before at a different dealership closer to my home. read more

Travelled 2 hours to purchase a certified pre-owned 2016 Honda Civic from Gerry Wood Honda based on a sticker price of $15000. Ended up paying $18000 in the end after they refused to remove a number of bogus fees for things I never wanted in the first place such as VIN etching and fabric protection. Still, despite these rather unscrupulous practices the out of the door price was average for the car and mileage. Just don't be fooled by what is essentially a made up number designed to lure you into the dealership. Anyway, I ended up purchasing the car as it seemed fine otherwise. I had test driven the car and walked around it several times before waiting for the 3 hour sales process to complete (yes prepare to be here a while) before I could drive it home. It wasn't until more than halfway through my return journey, when the sun started to set, that I noticed two large parallel scratches in an arc formation over the drivers side of the windshield. It seemed like they must have been caused by the wipers, although I had never used the wipers and the CPO process ensures that they should be like new. So it either happened between the time I test drove the vehicle and the time I left the dealership, or perhaps I just didn't notice them and they were always there. I reached out to Gerry Honda the next day and waited a day to get a response. After some back and forth I was told they could not help me at all, that it wasn't covered under warranty and that they couldn't afford a $300 replacement windshield on an $18000 purchase because of their "aggressive pricing". Remember the VIN etching and fabric protection that I asked to be removed during sales negotiation? Yes that cost over $600. Seems there's some buffer there to address the windshield. This was my first experience purchasing a used car at a dealership and sadly it lived up to most of my expectations of used car dealers. Unscrupulous fees, misleading sticker prices, and no after sales support. I'll most likely live with the scratches, but you can avoid issues like this by avoiding this dealership! read more

Tried to call for oil change on crv. Said it was appt only now due to virus, yet when i got to appt, the same number of staff was there. Was waited on and gave person my $10 printed off coupon. Asked for carwash when i phoned in and when bought in car. After waiting, the bill arrived, guy took it to the cashier with me (not sure why they follow me to the cashier), and paid the bill. Questioned the bill, was $10 more than should have paid. The service guy said "he forgot to give me my discount". Cashier refused to credit my credit card for some reason. Then he said "I forgot your carwash". Wondered if I still wanted it. I said, no it should have been done, as our agreement, and I have to leave now. Seems like every time I get my car serviced here there is some sort of "issue". Grows weary. read more

This dealership has got to have the WORST customer service in the entire universe! We drove 99 miles or 1 hour and 37 minutes--whichever way you want to calculate it. We drove this far because they had the car I wanted. My time was wasted, my husbands time was wasted, we were disrespected. They will not negotiate and want to completely rip you off on your trade in. I completely pity Tyler, the salesman for having to work in such a hostile environment. Aron Deosaran was very rude and demeaning. However my biggest problem stemmed from Curtis Trapp the general sales manager. He yelled and exact words to me were (when referring to where they had parked our truck) "go find the mother fucker yourself". Which led Aron telling my husband to step outside and they could handle things like men! I have never in my life had to deal with such an insanely rude staff who should be based on customer service. I wish I could give negatives!!! I have had several bad experiences with this dealership: 1) tried to by a Dodge Challenger Shaker 2014 (back in 2014) and sent an e-mail requesting price OTD. Received an e-mail back saying "shake baby shake". Really?!?! Trying to have a professional, adult conversation and that is the response?!? Went to another Dealer that day and got a Dodge Challenger SRT. 2) had some issues with my SRT and took to GW because it was convenient (big mistake). The passenger front was making a noise. They took a week to "fix" it. When I picked it up they said drive it for a hundred miles and it will stop?!? Soooo it still makes the noise, but it's fixed?!? Well drove it and as you can guess not fixed. Took to Concord Dealership and they knew when I drove up what the issue was and they also knew the drive it and it will be OK game (guess they have had other repairs to come to their shop with same line). 3) tried to purchase a 2016 Grand Cherokee (still trying to give the local guy a shot). Was very close on numbers. They told me come back at end of month (2 weeks from date I was in showroom) and if still there would take the deal. What?!? So you want to wait and see if someone else will pay more than a guaranteed deal in the showroom right now?!? Sooo I drive straight from there to another dealer. Made the deal I wanted and drove home that night in my new Grand Cherokee. I have tried to give to local guy a chance...I suggest driving a little further down the road for better customer service. read more

Below summarizes the two challenges I encountered during my purchase of a 2014 Honda CR-V last week. 1. Twice, while visiting the dealership to sign the necessary paperwork to complete the transaction, I enjoined a manager to ensure no dealer-specific decals, plates, or markings were affixed to my new vehicle. He assured me he would make sure none were attached. When the car was delivered to Mooresville, a Gerry Wood Honda dealer decal, requiring 15 minutes to carefully remove (to avoid marring the finish), had been applied to the back of the car. The lack of attention to detail and customer care was, while wholly unsurprising, nonetheless disappointing and does not motivate me to encourage my friends and associates to patronize your dealership. Perhaps it is a small issue. But I don't think I need to spend $30,000+ to buy a car and then advertise your business on the back of it. And I specifically asked for it not to be attached. Your manager, despite displaying vertical head movement and verbal acknowledgement, never followed through to do what he said he would. Even days later after I told Russell Taylor about the oversight, the manager has never called to try and make it right or apologize. 2. Like many people, I do not enjoy the gamesmanship associated with purchasing a vehicle and I encourage your dealership (and industry) to do some major restructuring of the business model. When I go in to Home Depot to buy a hammer, I am not descended upon by multiple people trying to package crap on it I don't need or want -- like a cushion grip or protective coating for the hammer face or an extra fee for printing my receipt ("documentation fee"). I just want to buy a hammer for the price advertised. This is a pricing model many dealerships, yours included, have not yet embraced. Despite showing up with USAA pricing data, I was confronted with multiple games to pack on extra profit. Despite dealer holdback profit built into the price, the utterly valueless "documentation fee" is nothing but hundreds of dollars in additional profit for which I receive ZERO value. Because I needed a vehicle quickly, I accepted -- for an additional $300 -- what was nearly $1,000 of high-profit items (tinting, cargo tray, etc) that I did not want or need. Dealers add these high-margin items and then force them on consumers saying "all dealers do it", "you need tinting in the hot summer..." blah blah. If these items were genuinely valuable and in your customers' best interest, allow your customers to choose to order them or not. You treat consumers like they are idiots and cannot see through these pathetic tactics. In summary: in the short term, you guys sold a car. But your 1970's gamesmanship business model is repellant. As long as your dealership continues to propagate poor customer serve (#1 above) and employs a dinosaur-era model of the car buying experience (#2 above), you have not earned a loyal or repeat customer. I'll go out of my way to ensure people I interact with know about the games played at your dealership and how customers get jerked around. In addition, I'll drive a number of additional miles to find a dealership in Charlotte for my service needs. read more

A bunch of liars. Bought our vehicle here because we didn't have a choice we had to have a new vehicle. The sales associate was an amazing man and tried to do us 100% right, but farther than that the associates are liars and munipulators. We bought the highest tier warranty, reassured three different times that we were buying the complete one, well once we started having issues, we where informed that no we bought the 2nd from the highest, so of course NONE of the repairs have been covered under that said warranty. We spent $1000's of dollars on repairs. Personally spoke to brad wood and he was just as cocky as his employees. Did NOTHING to right the wrong his employees have created. read more

With the little interaction with this dealership I am certain that I would not want to do business here. In December I was in the market for 2017 pilot and spoke to a salesman by phone. He encouraged me to come in that Saturday and he would take care of me, and by the way, just for coming in I would receive a $25.00 gas card just for a test drive. I live in Harrisburg and knew that traffic would not be the best but decided to give them a try. I drove all the way to the dealership and the salesman was not available, only one or two vehicles to choose from, the salesman had gone with another customer and what do you know they are out of the gas cards. I called back to talk to the salesman on Monday just for the principle of the matter to ask him to send me the card that he promised and followed up two more times and no gas card to date. I sure do detest dishonest car dealerships. read more

Visited 11/2/19. Spoke with internet sales manager after finding vehicle I was interested on True Car website. Before leaving my house and driving an hour away I had her confirm that the final price of the 21k car would be $22,749. She said she saw where the car was on their website at 24k but that, "I had "claimed" the True Car price and they would honor it." Needless to say they let us test drive and when it came time to seal the deal they did not honor the True Car price. They said it didn't include the fees. When I disputed and showed them it did, they changed their story to the internet sales manager made a mistake, then the price was entered wrong. Secondly, the car fax reported no accidents, but damage was reported. EVERY car fax I've ever seen has a diagram and description on the damage not caused by an accident and repair done and it indicates whether the damage was minor, moderate or severe. They could not answer our repeated questions when we asked about the type or severity of the damage. But suddenly when the price discrepancy arose, and I reminded them that this was not a car with a pristinely clean car fax, the sales manager blurted out the car simply collided with a Walmart buggy return. Bullshirt! These folks are shady. I firmly believe it is systemic of the organization. I made the decision then and there I would not do business with crooks, even if I had to pay $4000 more for the same vehicle with 10k more miles. Buyers beware. read more

I took my car in this morning for an oil change and to have my tire pressure checked after noticing the TPMS light briefly illuminate. I was greeted by a nice man who took the time to explain the difference between the TPMS light and the horseshoe shaped light to me. After going through my vehicle history and offering me additional services I told him I was only interested in an oil change today but that I would be back to address his additional concerns with my car. I went into the waiting room but remembered I needed something from my car and went back to retrieve it. When I walked into the service room I found the man who had been assisting me and his colleague mocking me, "Didn't you know an oil change fixed everything!?" I gave the manager a detailed account of my experience and took my car to Jerry's for an oil change. It's unfortunate that what started as such a pleasant experience had to end this way. At the very least I expect those I am paying for a service to ensure I am out of earshot before making fun of me. read more

I recently bought a pre-owned vehicle from Gerry Wood Honda. The salesman, Gary Junker, was fantastic. I have an innate aversion to car salesmen in general but this guy was wonderful. There was no high pressure, he was very friendly and personable. I do have a few complaints however. I did not buy a Honda, and when you buy a different make from a dealer, the salesmen should be able to answer questions about the car and explain instrumentation inside the car. My salesman did not know how to open the trunk and he gave me wrong info on a brake pressure light that was on. Also the guy in finance, Matt, did not read or go over any of the financing paperwork. While I am a post-graduate and have the ability to read the documents, I appreciate and always have gotten it gone over to make sure I had no questions. However, the most annoying part was when I got home and found their dealership license frame around my tag and ADHESIVE LETTERING ON THE BACK OF MY CAR ADVERTISING THEIR DEALERSHIP. IT TOOK ME OVER 30 MINUTES TO CAREFULLY REMOVE THIS AND THEN TO CLEAN THE ADHESIVE THAT WAS LEFT ON MY CAR !!!! FOR THAT REASON, I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY A CAR FROM THEM. read more

Never again will I deal with the scheisters at Gerry Wood Honda, they quick to sell but not quick to admit a mistake, I received a detailed diaroma of a camry they had used;from alignment to this that n the third, carfax all that,but when I declined their offer, they magically popped up with a car in my range, here's the thing if I sell you something AS IS I'm going to tell you all I can so you can make an informed purchase, they did NOT do that, steps were missed either by mistake or on purpose and one day after my purchase I encountered some issues, I was told its yours now, you figure it out really? OK so now every chance I get to put them on blast,(ppl so sensitive nowadays) I will,they ruined my first car purchase . what was to be a hopefully thriving relationship with I had hoped reputable ppl turned into a one night stand, don't believe the hype !!!
