Thank you, Alexia! The food was delicious! I got the Large Spring Mix Salad, and it was amazing!! It tasted so fresh, and although they give you a generous portion, it didn't feel too heavy. We had a great experience with the service--Madison was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. She was definitely the highlight of our visit. That said, the food pricing was hard to justify for the location and overall experience. I've dined at fine dining restaurants before, and these prices felt excessive. Charging premium prices for items like a surf and turf that comes with shrimp instead of lobster just didn't match the value. While the food was decent, the cost didn't reflect what was served. I'd return for Madison's outstanding service, but the menu prices would make me think twice. read more

Jake & Henry's is a good restaurant with good food and excellent bartender customer service. I ordered the prime rib at the bar and asked for it to be reverse seared. Chris understood what I wanted and the kitchen made it happened. Very good cut of prime rib and was finished the way I like it. Chris was very hospitable and his co-bartender, Ryan was always checking on me to see if I needed something. Both Chris and Ryan provided very good customer service. The prime rib was very good. Good selection of cut, cooked and finished appropriately. Very good flavor and easy to cut. Potatoes were also flavorful and soft without being too mushy. The atmosphere is a bit odd as the building was repurposed, but it doesn't take away from sitting at the bar experience. The restaurant tables are in an open room with a half wall separating the restaurant table area and the bar. Odd, but they make it work. I give food, especially the prime rib, bartender customer service and drinks 5 stars. I'd give the restaurant section a 4 stars for how it's laid out and how loud it could get. I'll round up to a 5 star on this review since Chris and Ryan did a very good job and the food was very good. I recommend Jake & Henry's for a good prime rib and good customer service. read more

This was the worst experience I have had. Only 2 families and it took forever for service. After a long wait the wrong food was served and it was cheaper then what we originally ordered, no refund was offered and the entire meal was left there. I will not waste my time or money going there again. I am very disappointed in the entire experience. read more

This was a first visit, and I was very impressed. The food and drinks were all very tasty! The music and ambiance was a delight! The waitress provided excellent service, and the manager was more than accommodating when he recooked our guest's steak, although our rude guest kept the first steak and gobbled it down. The older gentleman playing the music Thursday night before the 4th of July was very well versed in his music and did an outstanding job playing all by himself! I was a bit disappointed that they ran out of ribeye's, but the filet was very good. The bread pudding for dessert was the best I've tasted! My only small complaint was that I feel the drinks are a bit overpriced. Otherwise, this is an excellent date spot or a place to hang out with friends! First time for our party of six here and we came for the band but will be back for the service, ambiance, and food. We had a reservation because the band is a local favorite. We were at the best table in the house. We were a difficult party with three separate checks but no one sat next to or across from their spouse so amazing Josiah (sp) got all our orders right and our checks were all correct too! Being all retired, some of us are hard of hearing and he had to repeat himself several times. Also, we had lots of questions and special needs. Josiah handled us warmly and did an amazing job. Here is how good he is- the stage lights were shining right in our eyes and one of the ladies in our party asked him to turn them down. The eldest of us laughed at her saying the waiter had no control over the band. Next thing we knew, the band's sights and sounds technician stopped at our table and adjusted the lights for us. Looked forward to giving Jake and Henry's a try for brunch, after wandering brought a bit confused we were finally seated and ordered drinks. After being at our table for about 25-30 minutes and seeing our drinks sit at the bar for 20 minutes without any of the servers bringing them to us (or even our waters) we left. Disappointed to say the least as the menu looked great, we may give it a shot on another day but we definitely did not have a good experience today. read more

Steak was great. Mashed potatoes weren't hot or even warm. Service wasn't great. I'd highly recommend this place split up sections more amongst servers or hire more help. We stumbled into Jake and Henry's last night, and absolutely will be back. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive, engaging, and gave recommendations when needed. Their specialty martinis (like key lime!) were a phenomenal surprise, and elevated the experience. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, dinner special of red snapper, and the bread pudding. Everything was fantastic and I would order from here just for the food. The fun decor and ambience was just a major plus! A live band started playing right as we wrapped up eating, and older patrons immediately got up to dance. I had a truly fantastic experience. This was our first time visiting Jake and Henry's and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere felt upscale but not in stuffy way. My steak and shrimp were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. And my mashed potatoes were packed full of flavor. The hummus was tasty but I think it needed a drizzle of olive oil and replace the toast with pita bread imo. My wife had the shrimp and grits. She said it reminded her of NOLA. Our server, Sam, was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and very professional. We felt taken care of which is a good feeling. Lastly, the live music was great and at an appropriate volume. A lot of bands around here play so loud that you can't have a conversation. Highly recommend dining here. Great place for a date night! A few years ago we had an amazing and memorable experience so we were excited to come back when we were in town again a few weeks ago. This time there were a few minor issues with service and food at first, but what I was most impressed by was the staff going above and beyond to fix the issues. The entire staff from the servers, manager, and chef worked together to make us feel taken care of and make the experience right. RUDE WAITRESS, CRAPPY SERVICE AND BASIC FOOD!!! Don't go!! I looked forward to checking out this restaurant for a couple of weeks, my friends and I went on a Thursday and there were only 4-5 other people there the entire time we were there. We sat at the bar. The waitress asked what we wanted to drink I asked what kinds of whiskey they had, and she rudely stated "well what do you want." That was the beginning of a constant hateful rude condescending remarks from this waitress to me and my friends. She had a huge open wound on her right pointy finger that was not covered up at all, every now and then she grabbed a black napkin and covered it up but needless to say we were disgusted but had already ordered by the time we noticed it. I originally ordered the ahi tuna then she came back and said they didn't have any, nothing on the menu or board and she said she didn't know it either, no apology or anything, if I didn't know any better I think she was trying to run us off. The behavior and constant hateful attitude from this waitress will ensure I never go back to this restaurant and I will make sure to tell everyone else how hateful and rude she was and how unsanitary it was for her to have an open wound while handling food. Needless to say I boxed up my steak and took it home to my dogs, I just hope they don't get sick off of it. Food was basic at best for the price. I ordered the surf and turf and the steak was large size but it wasn't tender it was tough and chewy I had to cut it up into small pieces just so my dogs could eat it. The vegetables were soggy and very little seasoning. I was charged $21 for the small shot of whiskey I ordered and it wasn't even the brand I had ordered but with the crazy hateful waitress we didn't dare argue, my total bill was $65!!. Get rid of her before she runs off other clients, I'm sure I'm not the only one who could have complained about her behavior. She even argued with my friend about her wanting a brownie and said they are dry but that's just me I'm honest, my friend said it had raspberry sauce so it probably offset the dryness and the waitress said whatever if you want it I'll get it for you, and shrugged and walked off, then she never even brought it to her but we were thankful after looking at her open wound! There was another lady that came behind the bar in regular cloths, not sure who she was but she walked past us multiple times and didn't ask or say a word to us. We never were offered or given glasses of water so this place obviously doesn't know what class is even though they charge a lot for their basic food and subpar service. I'm not a fan of McQuires atmosphere with all the dirty dollar bills hanging down looking like a fire hazard from fire Marshall Bill, but I'd go to McQuires to get a great steak and great service over this want to be restaurant. Jake and Henry's failed on every mark for me, except there was plenty of seating, but it's obvious to me now why it was empty. Save your money, or eat it no doubt it will taste better than what they serve and you won't have to deal with that rude waitress. Get rid of the waitress with eye rings and short brown hair and big teeth and smokers voice or you are going to run off all other customers. Rude as heck. read more

This place just opened a few weeks ago. I was very happy with the burger. I do not know the name, but it had a fried egg on top. Other points of mention last were very well seasoned fries, quite tasty. French toast was yummy I'm told, and the syrup had a nice flavor in it too. I am torn with the rating, it seems too good to be true! Two weeks opened and the chef has a good handle on the food, that is a tough thing to do. There is a time and place for everyone, this is not a place for young children to be doing cart wheels and bouncing, playgrounds are for that.
