The service from Kimani was friendly and we really enjoyed the 49 cent wing special (M-W, dine in only) and being able to bring our dog onto their patio with his stroller. Our pup is old, and has arthritis now (hence, the stroller), so when we travel with him, if a place doesn't have a dog friendly patio, we keep going down the list until we find one that does, or we just grab a sandwich or order to go and eat back in our hotel room. I was wondering what made their nachos so "famous." When they brought out the behemoth that we soon found out was our HALF-SIZED order of nachos, I think INFAMOUS would've been the more appropriate word to describe it! That sucker will take down any man who tries to conquer it. As an appetizer, I think it could satiate at least 5 people! Unfortunately, it was just me and my husband, two very unworthy opponents who failed to carve our way through even a 5th of that giant. While it was a spectacle to behold, I feel I would've gotten much more enjoyment out of it if there were less chips but more toppings. The toppings were spread out too thin which meant an uneven distribution of said toppings, resulting in less enjoyment overall for me. You can't really go wrong with the wings at that price. The buffalo wings we had were a little spicy, very saucy, and came with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and your choice of ranch or bleu cheese dip. They were able to whip up a plain grilled chicken breast for the pup as well, which we greatly appreciated. The jalapeno margarita I got wasn't anything to write home about but I was able to get an extra shot of tequila for $5.50 since it was happy hour (M-F 3-7PM). Went online and order a couple large pizza last night for pick up. The service from the young lady at the window was fine and pizzas. We're good enough considering the area. As soon as we got sat down outside there was a lady smoking a cigarette right next to the door. She also had two chihuahuas who barked and lunged at people the entire time. Why have no dogs allowed signs if she is the exception? I had ordered the loaded potato soup with a grilled cheese. After about 5-10 minutes after everyone got their food I still hadn't received my grilled cheese. Upon asking about it they said they would check on it for me. My waiter then approached the table and blamed me saying that I hadn't ordered it and to ask for it next time. Super unnecessary to blame the customer. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and Thai Bourbon "muck bowl". None of the food tasted homemade. The Thai Bourbon sauce was still alcoholic. We let our server know, but the restaurant took no steps to rectify the issue. It burned the throat and tastes bad. Okay, just to be fully transparent, this review is for the bar at noon on Thursday and Friday (yes, we came here back to back). The bartender, Pete, immediately greeted us and brought waters. He was friendly and engaging. Our food order arrived in about 10 minutes, exactly as expected. The salad, pizza, and nachos were all very good. We came in to eat and after about 10 minutes of waiting we had to walk up to the bar where all of the staff was standing and ask to be served. This is and has always been the place to go for me and girlfriend. Good atmosphere, good people, and I have had few issues there. I have been treated with the outmost respect from those serving our community and I can't say that about a lot of places in the area since Fubar were one of the rare places that have had workers and regulars both treat me like I was their family.
