This place is an experience like none other. I was skeptical of it being so incredible as an Irish pub but wow was I proven wrong. The place is always packed. It's huge with lots of parking yet every spot was still taken at 8:30 pm on a weekday. There's the main Irish pub but they also have a pizza spot and sushi spot, plus a butcher where you can buy meat and a gift shop. Inside, there is money hanging from every inch of the room. There's apparently over $3 million hanging from the walls. They have live music every night which made the entire vibe of the place immaculate. The food was outstanding too! The portions are massive so be prepared to share a meal or have lots of leftovers. We went with their two famous appetizers: the Ruben egg rolls and the Irish boxtys. Both were fantastic. I particularly loved the egg rolls. For dinner, we did the steak and an ahi tuna salad. The steak came with two sides as well and the salad was massive. You will truly have more food than you can eat, on top of them giving you an entire loaf of bread to start with. I cannot rave enough about this place. Service: we had nothing to drink until our steaks were delivered. nothing - no water, no tea - while eating our bread and salads. manager didn't answer complaint. So starting off the evening, we showed up and there was a wait to get in. It was 45 minutes but there was a bar out there where you can order food. Ordered appetizers and drinks and they had a band as well. Going in, this place was huge inside either cool decor and dollar bills stapled to the walls. And our waiter was cool as hell. McGuire's is my absolute favorite place. The burgers and steaks are very good. Are there better ones out there? Maybe, but they don't come with this kind of atmosphere. There's just no better place for ambiance than McG's. That starter bread is dangerously good too. I've been to the McGuire's in Pensacola more times than I can count but I rarely come to the one in Destin but it was just as good and actually has more things connected to it. There's an ice cream shop we took the kids to while we waited for our table. That was nice. And the wait list went fast. They told us 45 minutes but we were seated in 30. I get a new T-shirt every time I go too. (We're from Louisiana). As far as drinks the house brewed Irish Red Beer is very good as well as their pilsner but the Bond Martini and Extra Dry Dirty Martinis are both great too. read more

You should definitely order a pretzel here to go with the pizza you order next door. The beer cheese is the best. You definitely only need 1 pretzel per 6 people. The salmon was ok slightly over cooked but edible. The mahi was way over done. We requested a new piece of fish and they sent out another over cooked piece of Mahi Mahi. Unfortunately this put a damper on the overall experience. Guess we will stick to typical bar faire when giving this place another try. The ambiance was great with dollar bills lining the ceiling, railings and support beams throughout the restaurant. We came here on our last morning before headed back home, great choice. We got seated right away and this place is huge. One dollar bills were hanging from everywhere. We all decided to do the Belgian waffle breakfast which came with bacon, fresh fruit and yogurt. We also had beignets for the table which was included and our breakfast also included Irish coffee frozen or hot. The food came out quick, the fresh fruit by the way is mixed inside the yogurt. The waffle also came with a side of strawberry compote. The Irish whisky frozen coffee was big and was delicious. Pretty big breakfast for just $11.99. Our server was great too. Overall, our experience was pretty disappointing. We waited almost an hour and a half just to get inside the restaurant. Once we were finally called, we expected to be seated right away, but ended up waiting another 10 minutes before getting to our table. After that, it took about another 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. With a party of five, the table became crowded quickly, and it would have been nice if dirty dishes had been cleared more promptly. For appetizers, we ordered the Reuben egg rolls and the pretzel. The Reuben egg rolls were the highlight of the meal an easy 5/5. They were flavorful and definitely worth ordering. Unfortunately, the pretzel was underwhelming. For our entrées, we ordered the tomahawk steak (which was over $100), a ribeye, and a steak salad. The tomahawk was the biggest disappointment of the night. For the price and all the hype surrounding their steaks, it was underseasoned and lacked flavor. The ribeye and steak salad were also bland and needed much more seasoning. Considering the restaurant is known for its steaks, we expected a much better experience. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend sticking with the classic pub food instead of the steaks. Based on our experience, we probably wouldn't return. read more

This place is a bit of a tourist trap. However, if you really want to see millions of dollar bills stapled to the walls and ceiling and eat mediocre "Irish food", this is the place for you. The complimentary buttery bread and boxty appetizer were the only things I actually enjoyed eating here. The bean soup only cost 18 cents, but was not very good. I also got the cockles and mussels but they weren't very good either. The others in my party were also unimpressed by their meals. The rack of ribs was huge, but the quality of the meat was bad and there was way too much sauce on them. The mixed drinks had barely any alcohol in them. The interior of the restaurant was cool to see but not worth having to eat the food.
