Love this place in general. Nice price for drinks, super friendly and quick bartenders. My only complaint is there is one bouncer who has been absolutely terrible every time I've gone. While I was trying to set up before the bands started to sell stuff at our table, I had a miscommunication with my friend. I stopped and was standing next to the bouncers while trying to figure out if they had begun setting up and where exactly I needed to go. The bouncer with the braid asked if I was with the band, I said "No, I'm with" before I was loudly cut off and told to get out until the doors opened. He did not let me explain my confusion and that I was supposed to be on a list. Any time I spoke, he talked over me until I finally had to almost yell what my problem was. He told me I could make the call outside and I went to do so and saw my friend, so I started walking towards her. They yelled "HEY" at me, so I responded "WHAT" in kind. I was kinda rude but hey, don't interrupt me for no reason in the first place. The guy kept repeating that he didn't have to let me in so I told him that was fine and I would leave. The other bouncers asked for my ID and tried to start putting a band on me while he ran his mouth. Eventually I asked him if I was going to be let in or not, and he said nothing and looked down. If this was one time, I wouldn't be posting this review. But every interaction I've had with this ONE bouncer has been like this. I get that you need to protect the band and cant let random people walk around, but to not let a customer even explain their confusion, while standing RIGHT NEXT to you and not moving any further into the back room is wild. I'd love to keep spending money here but honestly, how can I feel safe when the bouncer has the maturity of a 14 year old? The other ones are great. Super respectful and I always see them checking to make sure things are okay in the shows. Not sure why this one guy feels the need to be so aggressive. read more

It's clear Scott doesn't care about what goes on in the building as long as he's making money, the managers let their bartenders be yelled at and cussed out and don't care, the whole dining area smells like an ashtray, and the beer's always flat. read more

I was in town for less than ideal circumstances found this place and let me tell you it was the place I needed. The staff was welcoming and the prices were awesome. I stopped in here for a few beers with a couple other people. We came because it was open and had reasonably priced drinks. I had a few Michelob Ultras on draft and the others had some bottled imports and domestics. It was a a very happening spot, almost every table was filled and the waitress was as attentive as she could be with a full house. We enjoyed ourselves, for the most part. I would never eat their food I learned that years ago. My complaint is the long wait outside to buy tickets for concerts They have no organization whatsoever, you know if people are waiting to get in they can't buy drinks. Their atm doesn't work so you have to use cash. They don't have separate lines for people who have tickets and people who don't. Who uses cash anyway nowadays,why would I carry cash in tight spaces when can easily get pick pocketed during a concert. I've been to this place a handful of times and they have never updated anything at this building it a the same shitty walls and same piss filled restrooms. My boyfriend and I went in and sat down to enjoy a beer and some music after enjoying a good steak dinner. We sat there for 15 minutes without being waited on, my boyfriend finally called someone over and asked for a beer for each of us. A few minutes later a different waitress comes over and tells us that she can serve him beer but not me, because I'm intoxicated. Mind you, I had one beer at dinner and came in and sat down without ever talking to anyone, especially a waitress since she never cane around until refusing to serve me. Jakes is a stones throw from my new pad; so, I went with a couple of my buddies after golfing to watch the ball game. First and foremost, Jake's looks like the beginning of a bad Bar Rescue episode -- sad and filled with "the wrong crowd." The comparisons continue when I met our waitress 30 minutes after helping ourselves to a booth. We asked her about the drink specials she asked us what day it was. Her apathy drained me and I ended up ordering a water. After seeing my friends Dos Equis served in 8oz plastic cups I knew I had made the right decision. After waiting another 20 minutes (in a cloud of perpetual stogey smoke) we finally could flag her down to order food. She forgot our chips & queso but brought it out with our food for free. I thank the Lord everyday since because it was the WORST queso I've ever had; it was cold and sporting mysterious chunks -- chips were good, though. I go there after work in the mornings (I work nights) for beer and breakfast after a long night at work. Its a great place to unwind and get some good, cheap food! Only drawback for me is leaving the place and smelling like a damn ashtray! Eeekkk!!! Other than that, pretty ok place. read more

There are tv's everywhere and enough space to just spread your arms out and spin around as fast as you can whenever your favorite sports team does something cool. I really wanted to give this place a chance because it's right next to our house and it seemed like a cool bar to go meet up with friends and watch sporting events that come on, but this place isn't a sports environment. First of all, the food is good. I got a french dip and although it took 45 minutes to get it out to us, it was good. The bar environment sucked though, everyone just burns heaters everywhere and thats ok but it makes you not hungry. Theres no drink menu so you basically don't know anything cool to order or any drink specials and they give it to you in a plastic cup which I personally like, but I bet a lot of people don't like that. Our waitress sucked too, she forgot that we were there, it took over 30 minutes to order our food and when we ordered chips and queso she forgot about it and gave it to us (cold) along with our entrees. I went and saw Geoff Tate there the other night. The music venure is small and that's not a bad thing. I would say it would hold 150 people comfortably, no more. The sound or acoustics in there are good, better than you would think. There is a full bar in there and service was good. As for the other side where they serve food and and where the TV's are located, smokey as F. You will stink like a Marlboro after about thirty minutes. Not cool. Just a note to some of the servers here... Just because my group was made up entirely of females, doesn't mean you can give us horrible service. Our server was so unbelievably rude, she made us feel as though asking for anything totally ruined her night. If you don't like your jobs, go elsewhere.
