I've been a member of AAA for over 20+ years and now I'm thinking of no longer using them…read moreespecially regarding the most recent towing service that I needed. AAA had to "hand off" the towing to a commercial company since AAA is apparently NOT fully equipped to tow your car after an accident. They don't work with the outside towing company and you will NOT receive any sort of discount for using the company that they choose to tow your car. I spent over $1,200 just to have my car towed 10 miles to the local tow yard and held for only 2 nights. Why would I pay AAA membership when I can't even get a proper tow from them?! I also use AAA auto insurance through their third party company of Progressive and they don't even pay for towing. They should be fully equipped at this point (since being in business for several decades) to be able to support their customers completely. I am very disappointed with AAA and how they handled the situation. I will no longer be a member after this.

Ripped wallpaper, tattered curtains, stained carpets and dirty sheets. It was supposed to be a 4 star hotel but in reality was below a 1 star. The woman behind the operation is Fanny, one of the nicest ladies ever and she has some mean connections in the travel industry. Friends and family have enjoyed many of her great travel deals to Asia. She tends to somehow magically pull out cheaper ticket fares without having to tack on any additional fees or bundle it with tour related stuff. When tickets to Hong Kong were showing as $900 online, she managed to come up with $750 round trip tickets. This also included her service charges, which seemed so unreal to me. The DVD and Video rentals selection could be better. Though I don't come here for the show rentals, but I know plenty who do. The one general complaint most of them had was she didn't carry enough classic stuff that preceded decades worth of TV. In the end, a small local rental store can only carry so much inventory, so don't expect much beyond that. Never hurts to call in ahead of time, though her Chinese (Cantonese) is a lot better than her English. When it comes to travel perks, it's more than likely she'll be able to work a little magic.

Since February 10th, I have been unable to get a response from her or the company about the travel plan. I sent multiple kind emails asking for a timeline, left voicemails and spoke to the person who answered the main phone pleading for someone to call me back. Against my better judgement, I still stuck with it thinking they were helping me. A full month later, I have still not received an ounce of communication and we are having to move onto a different company. It is putting our family in a bad situation and now is a month of time wasted. I have no idea why this agent "ghosted me" and is refusing the event reply to an email or call me back. A simple, "I am still working on it" or "it turns out I don't have the bandwidth to handle your request" email would have sufficed, however I can't event get that from her or the company. It is really disappointing and very unprofessional. This is my first experience with a travel agent in over 20 years and it was disappointing to say the least. We were in and out in maybe 15 minutes after doing pictures and forms. Quick and painless! While we were there they never once tried to sell us on a AAA membership. I'm thankful for this because I don't want it and glad we didn't have to navigate the membership conversation/sales pitch.
